There is a reason that this place has been here for years. This classic dive has a total Cheers vibe. This means that people who come there are like family to each other. The Is your average bar fair but who doesn't love a greasy Burger My husband and I shared the slider burgers and the fried zucchini. The ciders were three bite-sized burgers with a pickle and cheese. They were tasty. The fries were a little overdone, but some people like it like that. The fried zucchini was a little too breafy for my taste, but it came out hot hit the spot, so not really complaining.

Outdoor seating was great at night. TV playing football. Service was good. Nice staff. Waiter did the "I don't need to write it down" thing and messed up two minor things on our order. Just write it down for the kitchen. Otherwise food was good, nothing amazing. Food needed flavor added by me. Burger was cooked to my liking.

Met up with a couple of my girlfriends as one of them recommended the place. Food and drinks were pretty good, definitely will visit again.

All the free raw chicken you can eat! Ate here with a few friends, there was plenty to chose from to comp for feeding me raw chicken. When I pointed the chicken out to the cook and asked "does this look raw to you"? They replied, it's a new kind of dark chicken",lol!!! Luckily I did not get sick. This iconic bar was our hangout in graduate school. So for my reunion, I had to come back and visit while I was in town. I was surprised to see the same manager is working here! Wow! They have since changed their ceiling tiles. They're so clean and new. They also added more TVs and karaoke on Saturday nights. I was happy they have a game day menu for food as we were in the mood for some snacks. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich w fries and the fried zucchini. Everything was gobbled up! So good. We ordered shots and beers and cocktails. Service was great. Prices are good. Karaoke is free. Watched the end of the U of A football game. Such a good time. Outdoor seating available. Indoor seating can get full fast. Bathrooms could use an upgrade and need to be stocked more often. There was no soap! They're also unisex, so beware. Parking is on the street but you should get a ride instead of drive. Have fun!

It's OK for local neighborhood bar. The wings here are better than the place across the street. The wings are well cooked and meet. The beer selection is good, but not great. Nice patio to sit out on. Unfortunately a forgettable place, but glad to see a local place doing well for itself. The service was passable.

    Baja Burger with onions rings

Classic hole in the wall. This place really hit the spot for what we wanted tonight though. We had just finished up rock climbing indoors down the street and needed something low key with good burgers and decent taps. This place has about 8 beers on tap but it was fine since they offer good beers (dragoon is nice and I enjoyed the Sierra Nevada pilsner). This place offers happy hour every day. Brownie points although we had just missed it. The menu consists of bar food and sandwiches. I went with the Baja Burger, which consisted of pepper jack, avocado, Baja sauce with my chosen side of onion rings. Boyfriend did the same but with a side of fries. The burgers were great! Cooked to order and just really hit the spot. I really liked the fries - they were salty and crispy. The Baja sauce has a nice bite to it which was a nice addition to the burger. Perhaps we will frequent this place after our climbing endeavors more often. Cool, laid back vibe with good bar food.

A classic U of A meets Chicago Sports Bar......this was the first bar I ever went to in Tucson way back like in 1982 or 83 ..... still a classic.....

You pull up in the parking lot and the building does look like some sort of shelter. It ain't pretty.... When you walk through the front door, you're greeted by the scents of stale cigarette smoke and Fabuloso. The decor is something out of the mid 60's. It's a very fun, unpretentious place. Good service, fun drinks and a great escape from our crazy world. Check it out!

It's kitsch and offbeat, maybe even offputting if you think too hard about the legacy of that family, but it's anything but boring. What I love: They're big on doing their own infusions. You absolutely must try Pam's Spicy Lemonade--Hornitos with thai chili and mint. I've also had coffee-infused liquors here before that you'll rarely find anywhere else. I'm not a smoker, but I get stoked for their enclosed smoking patio with a couple old arcade cabinets (I like Centipede!) What I like: There are like, really cheap simple cocktails with the creativity to make some unappealing, bottom shelf liquors taste palatable. Those aren't my usuals, but I'm always intrigued. I will shamelessly have a couple $3 High Lifes. There's only one big bar in the center of the lobby, but service is generally fast. It's dimly lit and can be tightly packed, but you'll still have fun. Good for date night or groups of four or less. No food, but once in a blue moon you'll find a truck parked out front. Overall, a solid Tucson staple.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. We came here because we wanted to play pool one night and Pockets had a tournament going on. We were originally 3 out of the 5 people in the bar (one bartender and one other dude who may or may not have worked there- but kept going into the back room). It was SO quiet which I found oddly unsettling lol. The only way there would be any sound other than our voices was to pay money to play music ourselves and I dropped way too much money to keep it going while we were there. Next, the bartender was odd to us...In some weirdly pretentious way. To be fair, we all do look young and people tend to treat us as such when we go out. However, he was so condescending about everything. I asked for a drink and he corrected me on how to order it-but not in a helpful way? More like he was annoyed with me. I turned 21 almost 15 years ago. I order the same drinks and have never been told that a bartender doesn't understand what I'm asking for- even if I don't use the proper bartending terminology. My roommate asked for a vodka redbull and the bartender made some weird comment about this not being one of our "hipster bars" like ??? I drink vodka red bulls in literal biker bars. We prefer smaller, low-key bars. It was such a strange and judgmental thing to say. He basically talked to US as if we thought we were too good for that place? Idk it's really hard to explain. But it left a horrible taste in our mouths. A couple came in a while before we left and seemed to be friends of the bartender- which somehow made the vibe even more uncomfortable. It's as if they all wanted us to leave. It's so weird to make your literal ONLY paying patrons feel so awkward and unwelcome. Dude needs a serious attitude adjustment. The a-hole bartender theme is out dated. That's just bad business. It's one thing to be busy and short with people when you're serving a full bar; that's usually expected, but you don't have to be a jerk to the only three people in the place lol.
