This was absolutely horrible. We waiting 35 minutes for a table they said we would have in 20 and then proceeded to not give us a table.

We went here for Thanksgiving dinner. Very disappointed! They had already run out of one of their pies, run out of chicken gravy (that's right, never had turkey gravy for Thanksgiving), and relish, before 4 pm. Their excuse was, well I put up 400 meals yesterday. Meijers sells Bob Evans gravy, but they had tried Old Country Buffet! Our waitress was wonderful, this was not her fault. They didn't even tell us they were out of gravy, just brought us bowls of brown beef gravy. Took our food home and heated my store bought turkey gravy. People were upset, but just accepted it. Sorry at $15.00, plus drink, why should we have to settle. I could have gone and bought to go dinners from them and gotten the turkey gravy, because they had to save it for their take out orders. read more

I was getting a bite to eat with these kids I babysit and their mom, when we were trying to find a good breakfast place. We all agreed that Bob Evans sounded good. As soon as we walked in, we already had someone greeting us and taking us to be seated. This was my second time actually coming here, the first time I went was when I was really little and I couldn't remember how it was. When we were seated, I glanced at the menu, but the only problem I had my time there was that every single thing I saw on that menu sounded so good, It was really hard to decide what I wanted. Luckily I settled with blueberry pancakes. I am not lying when I tell you this, the pancakes were spot on, this is officially my favorite breakfast place, and I'm not even mentioning what they serve that's not just breakfast. The one kid I babysit is 6 and he wanted sausage and bacon while the other one who is 10, wanted regular pancakes with eggs. When the waitress took our order she was super friendly and sweet. To be honest I think I just met the nicest easy going person I've ever met who certainly takes her job seriously. She made sure Nathan (6 year-old) had his food served first just because he kept implying he wanted it so much. Then she was caring enough to ask Cayden (10 year old) if he wanted more fruit because he loved the cantaloupe they serve. Today my kids and i decided to have brunch... We were told that it would be a 15-20 minute wait we were fine with that... We then gave them our last name and as we were waiting one of the waitresses looked at the waiting list asked what that name was and the manager told her and she proceeded to say and i quote god i would hate to have a name like that... I've been coming here for 2 1/2 years. Today will be the last day. The waitress was working alone and did not give me bread. The baked potatoes were old and not fluffy and I had to ask for my sundae. I'm not happy not happy at all. read more

We really try to avoid these breakfast chains however, while driving from Detroit to Chicago, needed to grab breakfast and chose this Bob Evans. We were pleasantly surprised ... great food and a great value. Our waitress, Rachel, was extremely good ... friendly, fun and efficient. read more

I ordered online and my pick up time was 7:50. I got there exactly at 7:50 and my food wasn't ready because they had to make more mashed potatoes. I walked out at 7:57, not too big of a deal. The girl at the counter actually went back and made my food. I have always loved the deep dish chicken and noodles. I got home and it tasted just like I'm used to. Dig through the massive amount of gravy, and there were two tiny pieces of shredded chicken. I'm used to there being several big chunks of chicken. Decent food. Didnt like the sausage the put on the country biscuit breakfast. It was taco bell quality. I remember when it was chunks of real sauage bits in the gravy... this was not good. Decided to go back to Bob Evans for breakfast last weekend. Let me say the service was wonderful. However, our table was dirty and sticky, there was bacon on the seat and floor and the food was below mediocre. A farmers omelet is not that difficult, but the insides were cold. The sausage patty's were barely edible and hash browns were dripping with grease/oil. Wont be back anytime soon. read more

I was in town with my sister and after a long day of car shopping we stopped in about an hour before closing time. The food was real good but what I found most impressive was the very friendly service from our waitress. A lot of times if you go to a restaurant not very long before closing the staff is tired from a long day at work and it's hard for them to really put on a happy face, but our waitress did a great job. read more

Was Giving the server the benifet of the doubt because I myself am a server and also worked for bob Evans for 5 years in all categories. we We're ready to order when she greeted us and she was okay with that and we got to chatting a bit, received our soups we ordered first without crackers or on a side plate (presentation). Also ordered a cup and a bowl and received 2 cups, no big deal. Got the soups before the drinks, reminded her and also was no big deal. food took over 40 minutes and received one chicken tender for my full size salad so requested another along with the sour creams and such we requested when we placed our order And notified the server our rolls and biscuits were hard. I asked ever so kindly to have my friends everything breakfast remade since everything was cooked flat and looked like it died in the window. Was told the bananas would be out shortly for the piggy pancake that never came and waited about 15 minutes for my chicken tender to come out. At this point the server was over it and sent the manager to deliver it who didn't ask about anything just dropped it and asked if we needed anything else And let us know that she took off the everything breakfast which was very nice. When bringing back the items requested I politely let her know that i was very dissatisfied with our experience and she let us know that they are short staffed and she's trying to get the minors in order and trained. I understand everyone is short staffed in this industry but seeing how our food came out, it shouldnt have been served. I honestly never complain but I feel the need to let it be known. read more

Was in the restaurant around 5:30 Tuesday, March 21. There was about 10 tables of people in the building. Was never served! Never even got a cup of coffee. Sat there for about 20 minutes. Had enough of waiting. Got up and walked out never to return again! read more

I received the poorest service of my life at this restaurant. With a disabled vet in a wheelchair we waited over 45 minutes and never even got seated, they let 10 other families go ahead of us. Asking to speak to a manager they would not even come out and talk with us about the poor service that we were receiving. I will never eat at this Battle Creek restaurant and will drive to another Bob Evans Restaurant. Very poor service. read more

Bob Evan's used to be known for their breakfasts. They totally suck now and their prices are outrageous. Today's meal included raw potatoes, eggs cooked over medium that the whites were still runny on, and toast that was nothing more than warm bread. Totally disgusting to pay their high prices and get crappy food. read more

The restaurant was presentable; but , the food was very disappointing. The potatoes were greasy and burnt. My omelet was dry, just flipped over fried eggs, with tomatoes, green peppers, and onions just poured over the top. The sliced tomatoes my wife received to replace her burnt potatoes were not ripe and still had a green core. Our toast, both whole wheat and sour doe, were all burnt on the edges. My wife's poached eggs were over done and not runny. read more

Really didn't deserve one star. Ordered eggs over medium - they were so gross. Had a white runny liquid come out of them. The hash browns were burnt on the outside, and raw inside. Had to ask three times for coffee refill. Told the waiter eggs were horrible, he shrugged but finally did ask to replace. At that point I said no...just wanted to leave. Horrible experience. read more
