I peered the mother special. 2 eggs, 2 sausages and 3 pancakes. I had blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup. We did not have to wait long at all. We prefer Cracker Barrel over Ihop because IHOP place is always cold. Last few times we had to keep our jackets on. But Cracker Barrel has the fire place on all the time. Plus it's more cozy. She eventually took our order where me wife asked her to bring some biscuits out before the entrees. 30 minutes later the waitress came out to tell us that my entree was not available because the grilled chicken was still frozen and they only have one grill cook. (This while people who arrived after us were enjoying their meals!) Ten minutes later our food arrived and my order was wrong and my wife's food was luke warm. (And our biscuits finally arrived!) At this point, we got up and left. We never saw a manager and this young lady should not be a waitress. We have never been this disappointed at a Cracker Barrel and the meals are pricey enough to expect decent service.

I arrived at the exact time my order was supposed to be ready. Since I never received the text that normally allows you to notify the restaurant that you've arrived, I called instead. I gave them my name, told them which curbside spot I was parked in, and was told my order would be brought out soon. I then sat outside for another 20 minutes in the rain, and no one ever brought my food out. Eventually, I gave up and went inside. I explained that I had called 20 minutes earlier and had been waiting outside. The employee immediately walked over to the bar, picked up my bag, and handed it to me. Clearly, my food had just been sitting there the entire time. There was no apology, no explanation, no attempt to make the situation right, nothing. It was basically just, "Here's your food." When I got home, it was even more frustrating. My Cajun chicken pasta was cold and looked extremely skimpy, with barely any chicken or sauce stuffed in this small container. On top of that, the bag containing the biscuits was visibly ripped open, which is completely unacceptable for a food order. What makes this worse is that I chose not to leave a negative review the last time this happened because I understand that restaurants get busy and things happen. But now I've had essentially the same experience twice, sitting outside for 20-30 minutes waiting for an order that was apparently already sitting inside, with no communication and absolutely no concern from the staff. At this point, it's not just about having to wait. It's the complete lack of customer service or accountability. If curbside pickup is being offered, customers shouldn't have to eventually come inside and track down food that has been sitting there getting cold. And when something clearly goes wrong, even a simple apology would go a long way.
