So a few weeks back I ordered from here for my family and it was horrible. Like all three of our meals were bad. So I thought maybe it's a one off, everyone has a bad day. So again, I decided to order. All we each got was eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. Should be pretty easy, right? WRONG. The scrambled eggs were over done, the over medium eggs were under done. The bacon was burned and dry. The toast had so much butter it dripped off. Potatoes were cold on the bottom. So I also ordered an order of fruit, what did I get? Cantaloupe that wasn't even cut and some grapes they even added a couple tomatoes and a piece of onion. If you're going to get Bob Evans I highly suggest you avoid this location. Bethel is by far the worst location. I've never thrown away so much food in my life. Both times we ordered from this location food went into the trash and I had to buy dinner somewhere else. This is uncalled for, unacceptable, and frankly quite disappointing. The worst part is after the first bad order I email corporate and voiced my opinion on the bad experience to which they replied they would let management know at this location. Picked up the Broasted chicken dinner for 4 last night. Delicious as always. Ordered online before I left work. Only a slight delay when picking up. Every one at the Bethel road location is friendly and courteous. Chicken, mashed potatoes , gravy and green beans were yummy. My little grandson loves the rolls . Plenty of food for the five of us. If there's any consistency to this location, it would be consistenly bad, consistently rude staff, consistently greasy spoon kind of food. Yuck! If I didn't mind grease I would just pay half the price for Waffle House. I am amazed this location isn't one that was shut down due to the company cutting some store locations. I have been to several Bob Evans locations over the past several years. It is my belief that they are slipping with customer service and with food at ALL locations. Went with 2 other people for breakfast on a Saturday morning. They were packed so I do understand things may take a little longer. We waited for our waiter for about 8 mins before he acknowledged our table. It took about 20 mins to get our food. Our plates were very hot so that tells me they sat under the heat lamp for a while. Our waiter had great personality but would of been nice to have him more attentive to his tables. We were not brought water. Had to keep asking for stuff and remind him of things we were waiting for. He was never anywhere to be found when we had an issue. Other tables we noticed had the same issue of not being able to locate waiter. I ordered the Rise & Shine. I asked for eggs scrambled and hash browns with it. I don't know what the eggs were supposed to be. They were flat and did not taste like eggs at all. The hash browns were blah, also. I have pretty much had my fill of Bob Evans and unless they make a miraculous turn around of their food and customer service...I won't be back to ANY location. read more

DONT GO. I am so disappointed in Bob Evans , because they are usually very good in all aspects. Ok so first we had to wait a pretty long time for our waiter to come back to us so we could order. Then, when I got my food, my home fries portion was so small it wasn't even funny; it looked like someone already ate half of them. Then, I noticed my bacon had A HAIR WRAPPED AROUND IT. If you didn't think it could get worse just wait. Both my aunt and I got some nice and crunchy surprises in our eggs. So yeah you could definitely say I'm NEVER COMING BACK. I have ordered carryout from this location twice and both times they messed my order up. The first time I asked for no Tomato on my sandwich because I am allergic to tomatoes and they still put it on the sandwich, The lady then took it in the back and instead of remaking it they just simply removed the tomato, which I am capable of doing if that was the issue. I had to throw the sandwich away since the tomato was originally on it. Then today I placed another order and the same thing happened with my sandwich. They remade it but I am on a lunch break so with the extra time needed to correct my order that left me with no time to eat. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service and do not intend on ordering from this location again!!!!! If you are wanting your order made correctly I definitely would not recommend ordering carryout. read more

I think Bob Evans as a whole has over priced their breakfast menu, but the new dinner menu along with the pick 3 for 9.99 is outstanding.

We ate there last weekend and received great service. The staff were all very friendly and professional and the restaurant was very clean.

After eating at this same location (bethel rd.) a few months ago I did a review of this location - it was dirty, and had extremely lazy staff. Someone from the headquarters contacted me by e-mail to offer me a gift card to go back and give it another chance. Well, after submitting them my address I never received anything! So my husband and I decided to give it another chance last week, now my mind is made up- I WILL NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN! (I probably won't go to ANY bob evens again!) My husband ordered a hamburger which came with fries, he told the server that he wanted to ADD coleslaw, as it mentions on the menu to ADD this to the meal. Well, our food came out before silverware, and my husband didn't get any fries. The server said he thought my husband wanted to replace the fries with coleslaw- but they didn't try to clarify at the time of ordering. My husband waited on the fries before eating his burger. The fries came up but our server and the manager on duty were too busy sitting at a booth next to ours and talking with the servers friend. Finally, after going back towards the kitchen the server walked right past the fries and started talking to another server at one of the registers. Meanwhile, the MOD was preoccupied talking to their friend, who sat at a booth but didn't order food. I finally went up to the counter and ASKED FOR THE FRIES! We only left a $3.00 tip, and that was generous! AND, still saw the problems from a few months ago, such as server trays being unloaded on the service counter where folks sit to eat, AND a dirty towel layed there with a couple trays as well! Ya know, years ago the staff were a bunch of "mature" ladies, moms, homemakers, even grandmothers, now the staff are all young and not attentive to the customers --- AND THAT'S WHY BOB EVANS RESTAURANTS ARE GOING DOWNHILL! The prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down! *Back to the Honey Dip Donut shop, just around the corner on Kenny at Olde Henderson - where there is never any issues....highly recommend HONEY DIP DINER as a MUCH preferred alternative. I had a very disappointing experience with the GM of this location this morning. When a door dash order was delivered incomplete (at 1120) and I called the restaurant they asked me to come pick up the rest of the order or just get the rest of the food on another visit even though they had the means of coordinating with door dash and they offer delivery themselves (per their recorded phone message) and did not try to make it right. I was told the GM would call me in 5 minutes but It took me three phone calls and an hour to get them to address my problem. The GM would only talk about the fact that he's been busy since they reopened after the Covid19 restrictions were lifted and would not claim any responsibility as he was cooking to help with the orders (that had come in since I called about my problem). I finally got the rest of my order delivered (at 1236) and was given a gift card for the price of the meal (that must be used in store) but I was appalled by the amount of time it took for my problem to be fixed and the lack of professionalism and the willingness to put the responsibility on me to fix the problem. We always order carry out from this location. After 13 years of service they have always gotten the orders correct and food has always been as expected and on time. We usually go to the restaurant and eat in the diner once or twice a year. It can get very busy on Sundays and evenings but it is worth the wait. read more

My life membership in Kappa Sigma fraternity keeps me hopping. Having a GO-TO breakfast place that is centrally located to Worthington, Upper Arlington and Dublin work areas ended up being Bob Evans on Bethel Road. I'm there almost every other Wednesday morning @ 7:30AM to meet with fellow volunteers to discuss current events and share breakfast. The food is standard fare which for me means two scrambled eggs and a couple slices of corn meal mush (served with butter and maple syrup). Yum-dee-yum-yum! My "brothers" get breakfast skillet meals or made-to-order eggs; one brother always orders oatmeal with fruit and is "Thin Man" - dammit! What makes the place nice is the service. Servers there are very friendly and recognize PATRONS. Our group doesn't have a particular spot so oft times the conversations are hard to carry with others attending the Bob Evans breakfast extravaganza... no matter. The meals are hot, fresh, on time and affordable. I like Bob Evans and at 7:30AM - they're hard to beat. PS: They'll kill you with, "Want more coffee?", which is a pet peeve of mine. Ugh! read more

We ate at this Bob Evans and it was really good. We both had the country fried steak dinner. It arrived hot and we later learned that our server, Heather was on her first day on the job. You sure could've fool'd me. She did this like she was very experienced at doing the job she does. I don't know if she worked somewhere before or if she never did. Either way, this Bob Evans takes great pride in the way their customers are served and it shows. We'll definitely be back. Nice place. Very polite employees. You might have to wait to get a seat, but the wait will be worth it. The place is often packed, which is no surprise. People tend to gravitate towards places like this that gives you good prices, good food and great service. read more

We were seated quickly. We got menus. 8PM on a Saturday night and the place was not crowded. About ten groups seated throughout the restaurant. I noticed that tables were not bussed and they stayed that way, littered with dirty dishes during the hour we spent in the restaurant. We sat for about ten minutes before our drink orders were taken. When the drinks were delivered about five minutes later we ordered our meals. And that was it. From 8:15 to 9:00 we had no further visits from wait staff. At 9PM - with two starving kids in tow - we pulled the plug and went home for leftovers. I gave the waiter a heads-up that we were leaving saying, "An hour in Bob Evans without so much as a biscuit? We're leaving." So that's what we did and we went home ate leftovers. I've been to this location twice before and the experience has been poor, but at least I was able to, you know, actually eat. read more

Never consistent!!!! I think Bob Evans is good when its good, but when its not its very disappointing. They recently changed a bunch of their food items (new recipes), pancakes being one of them. I don't like change so at first I didn't care to much for the flavor but I figured I would try it again (presidents day visit) and loved everything... pancakes, eggs, and bacon were all cooked to perfection. Went back today for breakfast and the pancakes were FLAT, returned them and they brought me back another set of flat pancakes. I didn't even eat them and expressed my dissatisfaction and all I get is a sorry and thanks for your opinion, no refund on my bill nothing! because of this I probably won't be back at least not for a long while. As I was sitting there I did notice that a few other plates of pancakes were flat too so it must have been the batter, which makes it even worse... if you see your pancakes are not coming out how they should (plump like the pictures) then maybe you should make a new batch of batter! read more
