    Fried Chicken

Came in on a Friday night for dinner. Place is very quaint and small. The bar takes up half the dining room! Started with their version of an Old Fashioned "Our Old Pal" which features squash infused bourbon. Now, who in their right mind would find that a good thing? The waiter said it was very subtle, so I had to try it. It was nicely prepared and tasted like an Old Fashioned. We had the Brussels Sprouts and charred Octopus for appetizers. The Sprouts were outstanding. Never had them prepared with blue cheese, apricots or toasted corn nuts. The Octopus and smoked sausage was also good, but I wouldn't order it again. For dinner we both wanted the chicken, which I have a rule against, so my daughter got that and I got the beef tips. The chicken was outstanding! The beef tips were good, but not great. Glad we came and gave this place a try.

Tried Alqueria out for Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is inviting and bright and the service is incredibly friendly. This place is perfect for a date or a nice meal with friends! You can tell their ingredients are farm to table, everything is so fresh! Every dish is executed amazingly and there are fun little twists sprinkled throughout. The crispy artichoke hearts are incredible and the flavors in pork loin dish are balanced and delightful! You need to give this place a try!

I walked in on a busy night with no available tables. But the hostess quickly offered me the last bar seat- thank goodness. They had a dinner special which included an app, main, and dessert. I had the butternut squash soup, cassoulet, and crème brûlée. The food was spectacular. Each dish individually flavored but it seemed the menu all balanced well. Although crowded, I was comfortable at the bar. And the bartender made me a special mocktail to go with my meal. This was one of my favorite meals during my time in the short north.

Good food and service. Was bummed then didn't have the short rib on the menu anymore. Lamb chops were solid tho.

Very impressive restaurant. Excellent food and vibes. Good service. The burger was legit and is topped with housemade pimento cheese. The all-star of my plate were the brussel sprouts. So amazing!!! Everything in them compliments the sprouts. I will definitely return on my next visit to Columbus. The area seemed really neat too. Lots of bars and restaurants. Street parking was easy on the Thursday I went.

Nice neighborhood dining spot with a small eclectic menu. The food is farm to table and made from scratch and anything but boring. Great local brew offerings as well. The fried chicken is spot on. Crunchy, juicy in the inside and full of flavor. Delicious. The blackened shrimp pasta with arugula pesto was equally delicious. Nice mix of flavors and the pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The only miss was dessert. The bread pudding was a little dry and really needs a condensed milk sauce to make the dish pop. The whipped cream was ok but a little bland. The crème brûlée was burnt. A little too long on the blowtorch. Burnt salted caramel is not good. Service was friendly and fast and we really loved the outdoor patio area.

Great experience at Alqueria Farmhouse Kitchen. My friend and I went on a Friday night and had a reservation and at first I wasn't sure why we needed one because it was very empty until all of a sudden people started arriving. A reservation is a must as it is very busy starting at 6:30. It is a plus though we arrived before happy hour ended. Happy hour is Monday through Friday 4:00 - 6:00 pm. My friend and I both tried the Rosè spritz. It is Campo Viejo Rose Cava,Peychaud's Aperativo, simple & Passionfruit Puree served on the rocks in a wine glass with an orange wedge. For appetizers we split the Fried Ravioli and Whipped Ricotta and Feta. The whipped ricotta and feta came with caper relish, pickled sweet peppers, extra virgin olive oil, herbs toasted Hazelnuts, Ras El Hanout spiced flatbread. It was so good. All of the food that we got was delicious. We ended our evening with splitting the main entrée which was still a huge portion, we split the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The chicken came with herb mascarpone potato purée, roasted green beans, local honey hot sauce. The restaurant was a little expensive, but it was such a good experience and I would definitely come back

This was a fun evening out. The food is delicious. We started with the sweet potato breve for a starter. The flavors blended together beautifully. I got the lamb shank as the main course. It literally fell off the bone. It is a bit higher priced, I would consider Alqueria more for special occasions. We were there for my sister's birthday. The service was good. Our server was attentive and checked on us a couple of times. It is not a larger restautrant, reservations are recommended. There is a bar and indoor seating available.

We had a seriously amazing time. The interior has so much to look at and we sat at the little two top in the windowsill. The service was great it was fast and our server was very attentive. The food was excellent, I really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. All around amazing!

Wow. The ambiance here is totally different than last year. I'm disappointed. I don't want to pay $80 for am elevated delicious meal like this and listen to pop country blasting across the restaurant. Sorry guys but ambiance matt

    Beet and burrata was superb!

Another stunning meal at Alqueria! No matter the seasons the food is so fresh and so perfectly prepared! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming too! We tried the burrata and beet tonight and it was top tier! Also got the crispy bacon-y sweet potato bravado, farmhouse burger, and of course the classic fried chicken! Our favourite spot in Columbus! Can't wait to try their sister restaurant Subourbon soon!

    Burger and fries

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. While I'm glad I went, it fell short of my expectations. Our greeting was not great. It was okay but not overly friendly. There is no designated parking so it's find your own street parking (not a big deal, just an FYI). The space itself is very open and the lighting is extremely bright. This sorta set the tone for the night which was not cozy. I never fully relaxed. The food : We started with the meat and cheese plate. While it was okay- it was nothing special. Again, tasty but nothing you couldn't find at the grocery. The burger and fries were very good. Also very much enjoyed the shrimp & grits. Service was decent but nothing great. Friendly was never asked us for drink refills and took a good amount of time to have our plates cleared. Glad I went but most likely would not go back.

Great Farm to table restaurant. I had the Bubbles and Buttermilk Fried chicken special. Being from the south, the chicken was spot on crispy and juicy! Service was excellent!

Way too much but the wings were edible... and that's where edibility ends! The tofu with peanut sauce sounded good to me, but I swear they took a whole block of tofu and cooked it as one piece. The exterior was bland which meant the inner depths of said tofu was even blander. How do you make peanut sauce bland? The drinks had to be good, right? After all, they're also a distillery with their own craft whiskey. Nope... Epic Fail on the blandest old fashioned in Ohio (I'm guessing). If they're trying to showcase their whiskey... maybe they shouldn't. Just really not a fan. Other Old Fashioned fans in the dining party weren't impressed either. The margarita wasn't much better either. What about a refreshing peach dessert? I'll give you 3 guesses and they all start with B! You guessed it, so flavorless and the pound cake was dry! It was even dry if you were calling it a biscuit. If you're going to serve this, then maybe a peachy sauce to cut through the dryness. Oh, the description promises that, but it did not deliver on those bourbon macerated peaches by any means. Even Bowser would send this peach back! TLDR: Bland food, Bland drinks, Dry Bland Cake, and Bland Drinks (a no-no for a distillery themed place). So many other great restaurants in Columbus, but this is a pass from me.

Was able to split the Caesar salad, in which the dressing was more mellow and less acidic than typical Caesar dressing, but was accompanied with a charred lemon wedge to add however much acid your heart desires! The crispy potatoes albeit fried were extremely light, and the aioli complements well the shaved cheese placed on top. Then came the burger, with the fries being extremely crispy and perfectly seasoned. The burger was very good as well, but I could do without the mushrooms added. It is a wet burger as well due to the mornay instead of a typical slice of cheese that just sticks to the burger. Most importantly, the cocktails are FANTASTIC as always. A seasonal menu always gets created, with the staples of course always available, typically using their own products within.
