I love Bob Evans but this place was horrible! My visit was 8/19/19 or 8/20/19- Monday or Tuesday night at 8:10. I like to order the family size grilled chicken to go along with family size broccoli and mashed potatoes with white gravy. Also ordered single serving of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots. When I first walked in, the host was behind the counter and indicated the menu and for me to get it myself. Ordered it and as I was waiting, I heard them say they were out of broccoli. I asked if it was for mine and they said no. Then about 15 minutes later the host came over and said they were cooking up some new rolls and they are just waiting for them to bake. I said just give me banana bread. At 8:32 a cook came out and in front of me said he was shutting down the grill and wanted to know if a new person who just started that day wanted anything. My thought was: what if someone comes in at 8:45? Got my food at 8:40 pm. The result: the broccoli was OLD. It was black on the cut ends and the floral part was yellow. It needed to be thrown out not served. I was given a single serve gravy for family size and asked for more. Host came out with a little more but didn't offer any other type of a different gravy. The banana bread lasted 2 days, on the 3rd it was runny and tasted horrible and again old. No tissue paper was used at all and usually I've had it last 5 days. Meatloaf tasted like a hamburger with a straight edge on one side so it looked like a loaf. Only gravy put on it- it had no taste. Just stopped by this morning for breakfast, knew there was a problem when the hostess asked us to wait while she checked out the line of customers at the register, then asked us to wait again while she bussed a table for us to sit at. We were then informed by the manager that they didn't expect to be busy this morning that's why they were short staffed. I wondered why this place was so dead on a Friday night, until we got our food. Out of the six of us, 2 of our meals were terrible. I got the home fries which were just under cooked potatoes. The chicken tenders were over cooked in old grease. Be careful what you order, you might leave with a stomach ache like I did. The manager could tell i wasnt happy and waited until I was walking out to say something really loud about having a good night. Very unprofessional. I'm not giving this a 5 because I think it's fine dining. The high rating is for the overall value that you get here. First, kudos to our waiter, Eric H - superb. Second, the food is quite good, and when you figure that 2 adult meals and 2 kid meals came out to 34 dollars, plus the excellent service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant - it adds up to a place that I plan on visiting more often. read more

Best customer service in the area! Endless coffee, "relax and chat" attitude, pleasant smiling servers. Breakfast choices are great for health conscious as well as decadent breakfasts. First time there, food was not good and service was poor. Tried again a few months later. Same result. Won't try again.

The manager-Dee------ shows a complete lack of customer service. I placed an online order for a Thanksgiving dinner ($65) and despite having a confirmation # and the payment having cleared my bank, she said that "they" were having trouble with online orders. I had to pay again since there was no record of my payment being received. I discovered the next day that my card was billed 2x. I called immediately and Dee told me I must show proof from my bank that I was billed twice-despite having the transaction codes for the billing. When I got to the store, I was told I had to get a "certified letter" from my bank and a "bank statement" in order to get a refund. I had to go to the bank on the busiest day of this month, my time, my gas and then wait while she called the "corporate" office to see if she could do the refund! What a complete waste of my time! I will never go to this restaurant despite some really nice wait staff. Dee said I was "not the only one who had this mishap." Not any consolation. read more

I used to go to Bob Evans frequently. In the past, I liked it because the restaurant was always VERY clean, and the food was always good. Gone are those days! Bob Evan's has visibly gone downhill. It's unfortunate. The past three times I've been there the restaurant was really dirty! The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed for a week. The glass between the booths were smeared in little sticky handprints, and I've been there twice in one month and saw the same sticky prints. I always ask to be seated in the booths at the back of the restaurant, it's nice back there, but they really need to wipe down that glass! Recently I took my in-laws there, because they wanted to try it, and from the moment we walked in, I regretted it. First off, the bakery items at the front counter were practically gone. There was maybe one or two little loafs of bread. They might not consider this, but first impressions when walking into a restaurant are important to the enjoyment of consumers. Walking right into a stark counter gives the appearance that they aren't keeping on top of things! Then, there were large food crumbs in the aisle as we were walking back to our table. When I sat down there was salt all over the table because they refilled the salt shakers there, but didn't think to pay attention to the overspill. Also, the most disgusting part, there was food debris in the crack of the booth. I had wipe down the booth before I sat down. No no no. That's not acceptable. I really can't go back to more disappointment at Bob Evan's. I will say this, though, the food still tastes pretty good. read more

Unfortunately, we drove out of our way to get to a Bob Evans... and the experience was bad. Not only did we wait for a long time to be waited on, but once seated, and after ordering, an hour passed and we STILL didn't have our food. When reconciling at the register, I was shocked by the rude tone used by several of the ladies working, including one who appeared to be management. Great food, great service, very polite staff. Just about every time we go in we get the same waitress, Danielle B., she remembers our drink orders and brings them to us without even having to ask. My wife and I eat at this location 2 or 3 times a month and have noticed a gradual decline in service and quality. Five years or more ago this was one of the better restaurants in town. There seems to be a huge turnover in both management and servers. While the menu choices are very good the loss and lack of truly capable wait staff has been a downfall for this location. Tonight we decided to try online ordering and carryout. Big mistake. A simple order of a cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger was totally messed up. We specified no pickles and no onions. Not only were they added to our burgers but there was no bacon on the bacon cheeseburger and no lettuce or tomato on either burger. When we called to inform them of their mistake we were told, "It's the cook's fault." Then the young girl said we could speak to the manager but we would have to call back because he was cooking! Certainly glad there are so many other eating options in town as this one has fallen to the bottom of our list read more
