Stopped here for lunch. Haven't been here in a while but my husband wanted Ted to go here. There was only one waiter Nick and he did a fantastic job. I saw the brioche strawberry French toast and had to have it. It was amazing. Fluffy and chocolately with just enough strawberries as not to overwhelm the perfect French toast. Bacon was crisp and peach very lemonade was very nice. We also split fried pickles that were sublime. Thin sliced and crispy with not too much breading. Last place we got them made them too soggy but these were exquisite. Husband had the double dip fried chicken which he said was crispy and juicy and saucy. We had a great meal. I find it patronizing when a waitress calls me "honey" at a restaurant. I was at a place with my son and his wife. She did not call the other girl honey at all and was very respectful to her. She took their orders first and then mine. My food came out cold. My son asked her to reheat, and of course that generated the "honeys" to me. After about 5 of them I told her that I had a name and it was not honey. I would appreciate if she would stop using it. She must have known what she was doing and normally, they take the senior person's order first too. read more

We used to go to Bob Evan's but now this is the only location near us that is open anymore. The people working here are very rude and we had a waitress who was on her phone instead of bringing us our check. And another bed head Pesha who puts her fingers in the food served .We have started going to Cracker Barrel and they are so nice and the food is good. Much better experience by far. I guess this is why all the other Bob Evan's are closed , what a shame all because of some bad people. read more

Food was fine. Waiter was okay. My complaint is air conditioning at 66 degrees, and still blowing strong. No seating away from it. We spoke to three employees about it, and they brushed it off as nothing. Everyone around us was shivering. We, luckily, had jackets in the car and went out for them. This issue is every time we go there. So, next time, we step in, we check the temp, and turn around and leave if too cold. How can a manager ignore this? This is a gem. Why don't we have this in NYC? It's super family friendly. When you walk in, someone greets you and offer your kids straws. The kids breakfast menu is super cute and affordable. Although it was a couple days before Christmas our waitress - Irelynn was so kind (even though she was running around like crazy.. busy). Meh. The French toast was very good. Besides that, the mostly clean coffee mugs and half cooked bacon took away from an otherwise decent outing. The service was also merely ok. Not bad, not good, just middle of the road. The experience was concluded well with the customer before me paying it forward (or technically backwards since he was in front of me in line) by handing me a $4 off coupon. That was just enough to cover the cost of the medium rare bacon I barely touched. So I left feeling better than I felt when my food arrived. I ended up ordering strawberry pancakes which were ok, some burnt hashbrowns which ketchup def helped out, and grits that nothing could help. Bob Evans is a family oriented restaurant. Excellent food excellent service. The prices are the best around that area and the waitresses and Waiters are very pleasant. You get a lot of food for your money and if you don't want a certain side order they give you fresh fruit as an option where else can you get that and it's not extra just pay for the side dish that comes with your meal. Managers are excellent and very friendly and kind. Very clean place. Each season they have their homemade pumpkin pie for fall summer is strawberry cheesecake and they always have their famous banana nut bread and you can buy it there in the store only $4.95 for a whole loaf. The food was good, the server (Nick) was great, we got an unclean bowl with cheese, tomato, and a cucumber when we got lemons, the bathroom was disgusting with toilet paper on the floor, and pee was on the toilet seats. The person at the cash register was told about the horrible bathroom and just said "That's how it is at the end of the day" and then we called a manager and never saw the girl get talked to or anyone go to clean the bathroom. My whole family and I enjoy Bob Evans.This time the grandkids chose to go there as I hoped they would.wd all ordered and then settled in to color with the crayons and kids menu supplied. Where was screaming coming from the front of the restaurant. Sounded like a customer and someone from the staff were having an argument. Can't say what was happening but things calmed down and everything seemed to be fine. We all enjoyed our food. All of it was hot and fresh. Our server came by the table and told us someone had payed our tab and wished not to be identified. Not only is this place very very slow but they did not get my order correct. I arrived at the restaurant at 9 o'clock in the morning. Placed my order at 9:20. Received my order at 10:12. The waitress apologized because she said they received a large take-out order and the kitchen was backed up. I ordered the farmers special with sausage links, scrambled eggs and home fries. Nobody came to check for a drink order for 10 minutes, finally got our order for drinks and food. Waited around 30 minutes for food to finally arrive. About a half dozen other parties were seated after us and over the course of 40 minutes, they were served their meals. Someone from the kitchen came out and greeted a couple of the guests personally, so I imagine their orders were put in front of ours. We checked with the server three times and she told us the meal wasn't ready but she would keep checking. Even though she was conscripted to help a party of 20 shortly after, she kept up on the order. 50 minutes after we ordered, Matilda's biscuits and gravy and my chicken strips arrived. They were freshly made, so weren't just hanging out under the lamps for a long time. When we talked to the manager about it, she asked why we waited so long without asking for her to intervene and then took 15% off our order for the trouble. I really enjoyed this location. The food came out quick and correct, the staff was very friendly and attentive to our table and needs. I ordered the western omelet, which was ok.. it could be so much better. The peppers and onions weren't cooked at all.. and they give you a huge amount of it, inside and on top. If those veggies were cooked down and not so crunchy that could have been a dynamite omelet with the ham and cheese. Would I go back, Yes. Would I order that again? As of late, the newest management had kept the facility clean and the staff is pleasant and works hard. All the food we ordered was cooked well. I have been going here since the place was built. I consider it a good restaurant. The food is consistent. Its comfortable. Accessibility is good. This is important sometimes. It is easily compared to cracker barrel. But as anyone who has gone through the obstacle course in a wheelchair that is Cracker Barrel has become. Sometimes ease of access is nice. I think the prices are a little on the high side. The food is not super spicy. But for the target market its going for. Family's and seniors it does very well. The little country store area is just a few shelves. Two walls. They do have updated seasonal offerings to shake things up some. That being said we do eat here a lot for breakfast. But I still like cracker barrel when I am up for it. read more

My wife and I and her parents went to the Bob Evan's tonight for dinner which was nothing short of a disaster. My father inlaw and myself ordered the Alaskan Cod with French fries and a side. I was very hungry and usually eat everything that is on my plate UNLESS it's not worth eating. I could not finish eating the fish which was just only 2 small pieces. I did eat the fries and the side which was macaroni and cheese. The fish did NOT taste like fish and it had the consistency of mush inside a breaded coating. My father inlaw couldn't finish eating his fish eather. He said "this is the WORST meal I have ever had here". I had to agree with him. I ask the server if the fish was frozen or fresh before it went into the deep fryer. She checked with the manager and returned and said it was frozen because I thought it tasted like it was borderline spoiled. The server returned with a NEW check from the manager since we were not satisfied with 2 of the 4 meals and took $5 off of the total. BIG DAMN DEAL. The real kicker was that the manager DID NOT even come by to talk to us about the problem. VERY POOR. She would not be on my management team if I owned a restaurant. We all agreed, we won't be back. First, let me begin by saying the location was immaculate. I'm all about cleanliness and this place was aseptic. Reminds me of a hospital cafeteria. To me, that's not a bad thing. Our server was a nice older lady. Very soft-spoken and cordial. Not much more to be said about her. I ordered the Brioche Strawberry French Toast. Upon arrival it looked pretty good. Nothing spectacular in the presentation but appealing to the eye nonetheless. The portion size was adequate in that I couldn't finish my order. Surprisingly it was really good! I mean delicious doesn't even cover it. Now, I wouldn't go as far as to say delectable but it was quite good. I'm impressed in that it's a chain restaurant.
