All of their staff look like they enjoy their jobs and they all do their jobs well. It's a pleasant atmosphere to dine in.

I was their once and the food was delicious. I got an order of a burger and it feels like I was in heaven.

One word: awful. We were excited to see a Bob Evans close to our hotel. Total opposite experience of our usual BE in other states. The service was fine, but the food was disgusting. Took a family trip to Pennsylvania PA for the weekend. Decided to come to Bob Evan's for Sunday dinner. We got there maybe 5 mins after 7:00 pm granted 8:00 pm they are closing but was met by employee with a nasty look as if we didn't belong there. I'm hoping it was because she really wanted to go home and not for other reasons but there were other customers after us so I don't know and attempting to sit us at a dirty table she decided to run and get a towel to half ass wipe it. We over looked all of that only to receive our food and the chicken was what you see in the pictures and the mash potatoes we ordered for my two year old daughter was ice cold. I know we said no gravy but I hope Bob Evan's secret to having warm mash potatoes isn't the gravy. It was truly a horrible experience especially as a person visiting for another state. If your a mom like me who went to Hershey and was looking for dinner options, avoid here at all costs. In Jersey we don't have Bob Evans, but this food was worst then drive thru. So bad we actually threw it out and went to Wendy's. We enjoyed Wendy's much more! We got a very large order and everything was terrible. Chicken Sandwich, steak, salad, and tenders. SURPRISINGLY good . Our waitress, Nancy, helped to make our visit very relaxing, even with a table of teenagers. ( we had the kids sit separately, and she treated them equally well ). Had the pot roast dinner which was very tender and good quality, as well as a turkey dinner, also tasty Kids loved the breakfast choices and dessert options. Great for picky eaters ! Meh. I will start by saying we came on Easter. Our server was kind and attentive. What is hard to get past is the food. They were out of lemonade, bacon, and chicken when we came. My coworkers and i order the turkey family meal and i have to say it was delicious. The turkey was juicy, stuffing was great, green beans and mash potatoes with chicken gravy was all delicious. However... I am giving this place a 3 out of 5 because they did not have to decency to give us fresh biscuits. The biscuits tasted like the said "Oh! No one used these biscuits from the bottom of the pan that was from yesterday? I have been to Bob Evans before, but had never been to this one. I was visiting a friend, and we met up with even more friends here for lunch. It was a decent experience, nothing that blew me away. The only odd incident was that the lady who sat us was a little upset that my friends' kid ran ahead of her when being seated. I found this a bit peculiar as they were very well behaved for kids their age, and which greeter would not get the menus and stuff ready before taking people to their seats to begin with? Fortunately, our waitress was very nice. The atmosphere was very laid back, yet not excessively loud. A good casual, but relaxed environment. I was told that their kids' menu was very reasonably priced (I have no experience in this area). I ordered off of the small plates menu and got 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 1 french toast for a little over $5. Not too bad. The portion was an itty bitty bit too small for me, so I am sure for some people this is way too small a portion, but I really appreciated the option of paying less and getting a meal that was not large enough to have to take some home. As I was visiting friends on a road trip, I really did not have the option of taking much with me. I also had a bite of my friend's home fries, which were okay, but really too salty. Nothing really special. The highlight of the meal were the apple fries I ordered. They were warm, gooey and delicious. The dipping sauce of caramel was a great complement, and it was fried to a crisp perfection. The only gripe I have is that it comes as an appetizer, when I was intending it to be a dessert. The food and the waitress are good. But the hostess, an older lady called Linda is HORRIBLE. We arrived with a starving toddler. Waited because no one was at the front to seat us. Then Linda saw me standing there and said "I will be right with you". Later, 2 more people came in. Linda went up to them and seated them right away. I was appalled. Excuse me, we were here first and you saw us. My husband went up to her and told her we were waiting already. Linda just looked at him and said ok. Then she continue to offer to seat the other 2 people. The other 2 people saw what happened and apologized to us. It's not their fault, so we said no problem. But Linda never apologized at all to us. So here we are, still waiting. Linda waltz back slowly and took us to a 2 person booth. My husband asked her for a high chair for the toddler and she literally walked away ignoring him. So my husband went to hunt down a high chair himself. Guess what, Linda comes back and say we can't sit at the 2 person booth with a toddler in high chair. Umm ok, but you sat us there, saw us with a toddler, and ignored us when we asked for a high chair. Later the waitress came and sat us at another table where there are more space for a high chair. After seeing the picture of the "Bob-B-Q Pulled Pork Knife & Fork Sandwich" on their place mats, I just had to try it. What a good choice! The pulled pork was absolutely delicious. We also had the "Pot Roast Beef Stew Deep-Dish Dinner", which was also good, but not as good as the pulled pork. The waitress was nice and attentive. Food arrived quicker than expected (after about 5 minutes), even surprising the waitress. This is one of our usual places for a quick breakfast or if we are in the mood for some comfort food. Today, I ordered carry out since we don't have a kitchen as we are in the middle of a remodel. I ordered a salad and 2 family sized soups. When I returned home, the soups were ice cold. I called and spoke to the manager and with the $5 special, if you want them heated up, you must ask. Despite the web site saying "warm and hearty" soups. Nowhere does it say you receive them cold. I was not willing to take them back and fight the evening traffic to have them heat them up. I went over to my neighbors house to use their microwave. That's when I found out tat not only did they give me cold soups, one of the soups was not what I ordered. I again called the manager and all he said was that it was due to a new employee and he will talk to her. We won't be back. read more

This was truly a treat! I have never been privileged with eating at a bob Evans but on vacation to Hersheypark we had breakfast and it was a delight. The place is extremely clean and spacious. The waitress was extremely!!! Nice and attentive. The menu had such a amazing selection it took me a little bit to chose, I got a omelet and fruit and the banana bread. It was the best banana bread I have ever had and the fruit was delicious and fresh the omelette was perfect. I highly recommend Bob Evans for any meal the staff alone is such a breath of fresh air it makes it worth it. read more

Food was excellent. Unfortunately, the service was not. Food took about 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Willing to forgive that since the quality was very good. However, our waitress told us she's bring banana bread and never did, never came to ask about refills on drinks or even how our food was. Then had to chase her down about 15 minutes after we were done eating to get the check. Also had to readjust an item on the check which they overcharged by $3. We are regulars here, but today it was rough. They claimed it was a 20 minute wait, but it was more like 40. When they went to seat us over half the restaurant was empty. We were pretty frustrated . Then we overheard our waitress tell the host that "Well, they will just have to wait." (Referring to us.) She was a terrible waitress. I tend to be overly kind to wait staff because I know it isn't an easy job, but we had to remind her of everything. She didn't bring butter or syrup for my daughter's pancake, she forgot my French toast, and never refilled our coffee. We usually love Bob Evans but our Server Gregory was very rude to us today. We went for lunch. We sat down and ordered turkey dinner and a bowl of that potato soup. First off I've been coming to bob Evans since I was ten. I know the drill. The soup tasted good but potatoes were hard and there's was only bacon no scallions. I mistakenly ordered a regular ice tea so I asked for a sweet tea and said it was my fault and I would gladly pay for the other he slammed it on the table in front of me. Then had the audacity to ask me how every thing was. Then the turkey came. It was three prices of thick deli meat on top of a crap load of dressing. Looked nothing like the picture on the menu. I was very disappointed but didn't complain because I wasn't in the mood. read more

I was here with my brother and my cousin. We arrived to a line full of people, and the service was slowly. Once we reached the hostess, she was arguing with another waitress on where to seat people. They argued for 5 minutes before seating us. Then the hostess seated us. Our server was good, but the service was so slow in the whole restaurant. I am from Hershey, and I will not be returning. After we finished eating, the hostess asked me how everything was. I said "The food was good, but the service was awful". She said "I'm sorry, that will be $31.29. She didn't say anything else. Meh. The food is a tad bland and the decor reminds me way too much of Cracker Barrel (complete with a mini country store). My chicken was somewhat dry and the "Bob-B-Q" sauce (rolls eyes) wasn't all that. Also, the hostess seemed like she wanted to go home hours ago (the waitress followed suit shortly after). Bob Evans should be ashamed of itself. Our visit tonight just reiterated why we stopped going there over a year ago. Not only is the food substandard, when we ordered the new fall appetizer, candied bacon, we were told the cook did not have any made and wouldn't make it because it takes 40 minutes to make. On the up side, the waitress was very attentive and friendly - unlike the waitresses/waiters from a year ago. Bye-bye again, Bob. Good alternative to Hershey Lodge on-site restaurants for breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfasts here while staying at the Lodge, it's barely a 5 mins drive. Fast efficient service, all your usual breakfast items. Only thing I don't like their hash brown, it's the butter or whatever they cook it with, smells like bad margarine. Yuk! read more

Was in town to visit Hershey Park and had a good experience at a Bob Evans in Indianapolis so decided to give it a try. Greeter seated us quickly which was good, but that was the last good thing that happened. We were seated in a section where a waitress already had a large party of around 20 people despite being many tables open in other sections. Drink order taken quickly, but took forever for the waitress to come back for the food order. Took another long wait before the food finally arrived and the two people that ordered pancakes had burned pancakes in their stacks. Given the long waits, we didn't think it was smart to send anything back. Overall a disappointing experience and will make us think twice before going to another Bob Evans. read more
