July 18, 2026 evening. My wife and I had never eaten at a Bob Evan's. So this is our first time. We had a short wait to be seated. We were the 4th group waiting to be seated. While seated, a lady walked out and said "good luck". I asked is that a good or bad? She said bad. Good luck getting waited on. We still stayed and this is our review: After a total wait of maybe 10 min (6:55pm)at most, the hostess seated us and brought us our drinks. About 7 min later our waitress came. She was very friendly. Took our order and brought us fresh iced teas. Then she brought hot butter melting fresh rolls. 7:20 our food was brought. Hot, tasty. She brought us fresh teas. I should say my wife counted 10 tables this one waitress had. The hostess helped her a little by bussing tables after delivering the first round of tea. I might say the waitress Darla was definitely on top of everything. She was very very good. 7:35 we finished eating. I thought the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with gravy was excellent. The green beans were good and tasty but not especially visually appealing. But not bad. 7:40 she brought us our check. Totally good review. Restaurant was clean, table and booths were fine. No complaints. I'm not sure what the lady that warned us before the meal had problems with but our experience was all positive. read more

We are done with Bob Evans at The Legends in Kansas City, Kansas. This is the second time we have been stung by their website's bait-and-switch delivery/pickup process. The first time we were able to get the order, but this most recent time, we could not. They took $31.26 from our bank account, and we got nothing in return. I called the location to cancel and was told, "Okay, I will tell them," but we never received a refund. The website lets you choose delivery at the start of the order, but if it is unavailable, you are never told. Instead, you complete the entire order, including payment, and then are given a pickup time. If you can't pick it up, too bad -- you are just out the money. This is poor customer service, deception, and fraud. We won't be ordering from here again. read more

I loved eating here! The place felt cozy & was not crowded when we came for breakfast. I ordered the Caramel Mocha Cold Brew with thr Farmer's Choice & Cinnamonroll French Toast. The French Toast was easy to slice & bite into, which I really enjoyed. I usually do not choose caramel or cold brew, but caramel mocha cold brew was delicious & not bitter. I came up here on the 18th of February, and I wanted to eat breakfast, but I decided to have dinner, and she got me an orange juice and a water. She brought my food out the rolls weren't done. There's still yeasy, there was bones in my food, and the stuffing. The stuffing was mushy, the pot. Roast was dried out. So I think I got yesterday's food served to me. I mean, it's just poor service. Altogether, the server went to the table in front of me with the 2 children like 6 times but she didn't come after she gave me my food. She never came. Came back.I drank my orange juice.I never got a refill on my water.This is the second time i've come out here.And i've received poor service.I won't be coming back.I don't recommend this place either read more

Nice place and decor, some booths ripped and need some attention but clean place. Service was very slow but she was friendly and accurate. The food was very marginal, I asked for well done meats and got burnt sausage on 1 side and under on other side, ham and bacon not well done, the french toast same way, cooked on 1 side only. We enjoy this location. The food is always a fantastic portion and served hot. The menu has a great selection. We have only gone for breakfast but would like to try out other meals. Their rolls are to die for - for holidays and pickup. The only issue we have ran into multiple times is how slow the service is - but don't mind it if we have time. read more

Very disappointing visit. Went for breakfast - was told by the hostess that the kitchen was backed up because they had so many to go orders and the wait to be seated would be about 10 minutes. 2 other parties came in after us and was told the same thing. Hostess never came back to give an update or seat us and after over 1/2 hour wait we left along with another party. The entire time we were there NO to go orders came out and no one came in to pick up. Figure she just lied to us rather than tell us they were short staffed. Absolutely terrible experience. I waited for my online order from 10:45 AM until 12:30 PM, only for it to be canceled after wasting nearly two hours of my time. I repeatedly asked the staff about my order, and they kept lying, telling me they were "working on it," while they were literally standing around laughing and doing nothing. They have no idea what they're doing. After an entire hour of waiting, a worker finally came over and said, "Let me take a picture of your order on your phone." Seriously? That's their system? It's unbelievable that a restaurant can be this disorganized. Whoever is supposed to manage or supervise this place clearly has no control, because the employees are not working, not paying attention, and not even pretending to care. I wasn't the only one suffering -- several delivery drivers were also stuck waiting, annoyed and confused because their orders weren't being prepared either. And after all this, the restaurant canceled my order due to their own incompetence. Extremely unprofessional, completely irresponsible. Let me start with the bad. The host/hostess needs some training. We went to breakfast on Sunday 6/5/22 and she could not manage the wait time and was totally overwhelmed. There were tons of tables and she had us waiting for 35 minutes. That is the only negative comment I will make about the restaurant. (This could also be a management/staffing issue. Now for the good the waitress we had was totally personable and on top of everything. She was quick to take our orders, our order came out correctly and our drinks never ran out. We should have left when they couldn't figure out who should be seating us. Placing our order was problematic, charred sausage on a sandwich, one order was incorrect, and coffee cup was empty for too long. No one seemed concerned. The biscuits are amazing and worth the wait! I really liked my caramel mocha too...literally better than an Einstein's mocha. Overall delicious home-cooked meal that tastes like a grandma made it. The wait time can be long (20-30 min), but I understand why they wouldn't want to seat everyone at once if they only have a couple waitresses/waiters. As evident from my previous reviews, we're big fans of Bob Evans. In particular, the Honey Butter Chicken & Biscuits is our go to. Unfortunately, on this visit we were disappointed. They definitely don't use the same chicken as before, and it's downgraded to school lunch quality. The chicken is tough and texture is stringy, and just overall feels fake. Other food items were good--- the Cinna-Biscuits is always delicious and the Fork-Tender Pot Roast tasted like real meat and was in fact very tender. We may just have to branch out with different menu items, but will definitely miss what the Honey Butter Chicken used to be. read more

Plenty of tables but we were told a 10 minute wait catching up on "to go" orders. No problem ... thought she would seat us and we would have coffee and wait. Had she told us they were short staffed and it was going to be on hour wait we would have made the decision to go else where. 45 minutes later we were still seating in the entrance along now with other guests. Now the host had disappeared and offer waiting all this time we have left too along with the rest of the customers. We travel a lot and this restaurant had one of the best atmospheres and customer service I've seen in a while. We had Sam(Samuel) as our sever, he checked on us often and was quick with our requests. It was completely packed yet very quiet and calm. My boyfriend and I ordered the Farmers Choice with bacon and hotcakes with sweet cream cold brews. It was amazing! read more

Several months ago I had the grilled chicken salad, it was exceptional! Ordered again and was terribly disappointed. I used curbside pickup, The salad was quite small, and at first I couldn't find the chicken! It looked NOTHING like pictured on the menu. The chicken was diced into miniscule pieces, probably about 1/4 inch in size and there was very little of it. It could have been mistaken for the feta cheese curds if you didn't look closely. The salad was very small, and for the price, I could have gone to the grocery store and gotten a pound from the salad bar for probably 1/2 the price. The rolls...oh my, hard as a rock,, definitely over-baked, the tops and bottom crust literally fell off because of over-browning. The only thing good about this salad was that I didn't have to leave my car. The dressing - light balsamic -was good, but there wasn't enough salad to put it on! Will not order again! read more

Í am very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. I usually enjoy Bob Evan's, but the service, was definitely sub par. The restaurant wasn't that busy when my husband and I arrived and the hostesses acted as if she didn't want to seat us. Once we were seated, the waitress took a while to come get our order and when she arrived she came with a smirk on her face which wasn't cute at all. Apparently they had all been talking about us. Not for sure why. I'm not one to play the race card, but they sure seemed to be suspicious. Once she took our order it came out promptly, but she forgot to put the order in for our chicken sausage that we placed, so it finally came after we almost finished our meal. The thing that was the most disappointing to me was that this was one of the first times I've been out to eat and enjoy eating my food after going through chemotherapy and to receive this type of service is very disappointing. The store could use a thorough cleaning as well. Won't be back and I advise anyone against that particular one as well. read more

Was at Bob Evans in the legends shopping center the silverware had a nasty film all over it then I showed waitress they said it was clean I said it wipes off she said it's all like that. Gave us plastic silverware manager came over said it was a dishwasher problem I said maybe you need to wipe it off or clean the got irritated and acted like I was hard to get along with for wanting clean silverware. read more

I have been here twice for breakfast. The menu is great with plenty of choices. The coffee while hot, doesn't have much flavor. Make sure you ask for a pot of coffee as the wait staff doesn't keep tour mug full. I ordered eggs over medium with bacon and grits and toast. Eggs came out great and the bacon was crisp. The toast was dry with a smear of butter needs to be more butter. Grits needed butter as there was none. It's better than IHOP or Village Inn. read more

I really miss Bob Evans since the ones around OP area have closed. So, as a special treat, we decided to visit this location the day after Christmas. We weren't there super early. They were busy, but had a lot of empty tables too. We were seated promptly in the freezing cold restaurant and then left to wait about 10 minutes before anyone came to see about drinks. We all three ordered coffee. She had a coffee pot in her hands, so she grabbed 2 empty cups from an unoccupied table and promised to come back with coffee for the third person (which took about 15 minutes). Meanwhile, we shared time holding the warm mugs while we sat in our coats still freezing. I ordered Belgian Waffle, mom ordered French toast and my aunt ordered something that came with pancakes. It wasn't fast, but at least our food came out about the same time. The table next to us had their orders come out in spurts and some of the people in their party were done eating before the others even got their food. We were about halfway done eating by the time my mom's French toast came out but at least she'd had her sausage and other sides to eat along with us. She wasn't really hungry anymore and offered us to eat some of the French toast. I took one bite and didn't want any more. My aunt took a bite and threw the rest of the piece she took back on the plate. It was really sad and not good. My waffle was great and the other food was fine. When we were leaving, we wanted to get some banana bread to go. That took about 10-15 minutes because they couldn't find anyone that know how to place a sticker they were supposed to seal the box with. Once we realized what was taking them so long, we were able to convince them that we didn't need the sticker. Even though my food was fine, the overall experience was disappointing enough to keep me from returning to this location. My mom said that when she was paying two or three other people complained about different things (food/service). Maybe they were having a bad day on that particular day. It shouldn't take over an hour to eat breakfast, especially when most of that time is spent waiting, not eating. read more

Waitress messed up the order and brought fried chicken instead of grilled. For health reasons I can not have fried. After 30 minutes plus checked with us. When I said this isn't what was ordered she walked away and said nothing. Never apologized never offered to fix the problem. Never saw her again until she brought the bill. When we went to pay the bill we were asked how was everything? We both said horrible and the lady said nothing and told us what we owed!!!! Horrible service all the way around!!!!! Food is average to below average. I would recommend eating somewhere else where they actually care about their customer service. Told would be a 15min wait to be seated and it turned out to be more like 45min wait. Cashier was on the phone arguing with someone and was told to take it to the back by a coworker, so she went to the bathroom where my wife went to use the facilities and the cashier looked at my wife then went into a stall then continued to argue and yell at whoever she was talking to, very unprofessional. So now I'm currently waiting for food. Yes I'm currently writing the review while sitting in the restaurant. Told cook didn't show up until 9am and they open at 6am. Several people left and one group said the had been waiting 45min and hadn't been served yet! The food had best be amazing!!!!!! Just finished...it was ok at best. After being seated we ordered. I had the whole pig and wife had chicken fried steak and eggs. Sausage patties were burn on one side and wifes chicken fried steak tasted like the freezer ones you can get from Sams Club. Cinna-buscuits were really good and the waitress was awesome. Took 17min to get food after being seated and ordering. This was our first time at a Bob Evans restaurant. May go again to see if it is always like this or if it gets better. Frankly don't care to ever go back. This was the single worst experience we've ever had at any restaurant!!! read more

Our waitress was Shyane , she was an extremely nice young lady who made it a point to keep our coffee cups full and was extremely patient and understanding when we hadn't decided yet because as we told her we don't eat here very often . I ordered the pancakes, eggs and breakfast meat and it was done to perfection, I don't recall what my wife had and when she asked for a substitute there was absolutely no issue. The restaurant was clean, quiet and well staffed The food was great and tasty. Not 1 complaint from me at all, we will be back when on this side of town for breakfast. read more
