Here's the thing. Bob Evans is synonymous with breakfast. Food quality is excellent. On this weekend day, there was a long wait, not because there was a crowd but because there was only 1 server. A couple servers didn't show up as seems to be a staffing challenge everywhere lately. Thanks to Biden's economy. We were here a year ago and there was a line because there was a crowd. The food is well worth the wait in any case. 3 of us had an excellent breakfast, thanks to a server busting her butt. Omelets are easy, but good omelets take pride. Great omelet, all of our eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was crisp, coffee was hot, and they refilled it often, toast was warm, pancakes fluffy.. one more thing, order Cinna-biscuits. These are a serious addition to a weekend breakfast. Order 2 orders of them. Seriously, cinnamony, biscuity, warm & flaky. Yum. The food was worth the wait, you get a lot for your money. Breakfast for three with cinnamon-biscuits, coffee and extra bacon was about $50 with a very good tip. read more

Service was excellent. Food was below average. Hash browns were soggy and limp - should be crispy and actually browned! Ham, spinach omelet with Swiss was awful. Watery puddle of goo on the plate - didn't sweat the spinach, cheese was not in the omelette but glommed on top of it. Toast was slathered in butter. I'm not a fan of breakfast food chains but the Bob Evans at The Legends is an exception. I've been there a few times now and the food for the price is very good. Both times I ordered a standard breakfast (eggs, hash brown, meat and toast/pancakes, etc), and they did not disappoint. On the downside, being seated was a challenge. I waited at least 15mins each time but the place was not busy. The 2nd time my friend and I were the only people waiting but they didn't want to sit us because the server already had a few tables. In short, if you want a good breakfast AND have plenty of time, this place is for you. read more

I've been to this location several times before and after COVID, and the service and food quality is very inconsistent. You can order the same thing, but on different days your food might look different depending on the cook that prepared it. I'm not talking about small changes either. Once I ordered the pot roast dinner and was offered scant portions of meat with a little potato and gravy in a small bowl, and was expected to pay full price for it. That's probably the most ridiculous thing that has happened to me at this location but there are other bad experiences too. We met family here for breakfast, it will probably be the last time. I don't think anyone was too impressed with the food. I ordered eggs, bacon and sausage. My eggs were supposed to be over easy but I was brought scrambled instead. I ate them because I was hungry and didn't want to wait. They were very bland and overcooked. My sausage was overcooked too. The server spilled chocolate milk all over my step daughter. They did comp us her meal and the manager came over to the table to apologize. Will go somewhere else for breakfast next time. read more

Long wait time. Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, the fries came burnt, they had no hamburger buns. And the manager came to us and said that she had been there since 4:30 AM, and that she could help us, but we waited 45 minutes and she still was acting rude as hell. Even the lettuce was awful! Let say the staff is friendly. The only reason I go back is because of the staff. The meatloaf that they are suppose to be famous far taste like they opened a can of dog food shaped it like meatloaf and baked it, it is a horrible nightmare. The have a new roast beef with cheese sandwich it is to die for delicious. The potato soup should be against the law to serve, I don't know how you can mess up potato soup but hey did, it taste like somebody took instant mashed potatoes water and then put chunks of potatoes and cheese in it, very, very bland. Hopefully their breakfast is better I haven't tried that yet. But I can't see how they are still in business. read more

This one of my.favorite places to stop to eat while traveling, however, this one has a very bad staff problems. We waited a long time to order and ordered our drinks and food at the same time. When the food came out we still had no drinks so I had to ask for our drinks. I want to thank the person who ordered for us but the others talking away in the front need to get people served. One person next to us had to leave and her parents had to do a to go container so we were not the only ones. If a restaurant is short on staff then close the areas and tell people it will be a wait. The food was very good so we will be back to others but I am not sure about this location. read more

Food portions suck, price is not reasonable for what is offered, management is worthless, and servers do absolutely nothing. I've never been to a Bob Evan's before. I would go back, but not order the same things. I found the gravy to be a little bland and the hashbrowns left a lot to be desired. Nothing was really mind blowing or horrible, either way. The peach iced tea I got was really tasty, however. Service was decent. Overall, it's just one of those places that is missing something, but you can't really pin down exactly what. But you know that "flavor," might be part of it... Hahaha. read more

I can only speak to their breakfast, but it is excellent. The biscuits and gravy are the best of any franchise restaurant in America. Period. Service always friendly and prices fair. The only downside is not their fault, they cannot hire enough help to adequately serve a full house. The "helping" hand of the federal government again creates more problems than it solves. This Kansas branch is as far west as the chain gets I believe, which is a shame, but I try to stop by whenever I'm in KC. read more

Told us to have it removed from our order at the cash register since we were done eating by the third attempt to get the food. Good food, nice server. There was just a short wait to be seated but they have a good sized waiting area. I got a bacon cheeseburger and my husband got a build-your-own omelet. The plates were a little messy and greasy but that's really my only complaint. It's in a nice area across from the Kansas Speedway. Lots of shopping and dining choices. P.S. My family ate there last night, and it was our first time eating at a Bob Evans. The food was overall good, although the cheese on my Farmer sandwich wasn't melted. The drink refills didn't come often enough. My wife had to ask twice for the rolls that came with her meal. They didn't come in time so we got them in a to-go box. And to top it off, this morning three of the four of us that are there are having stomach pains (which is weird because we all ate different things). The one thing the three had in common was the water. Bizarre. The candied bacon was good, but would I go back? I don't think it would be on my short list. read more

My kids love Bob Evans for their smiley-faced pancakes. I'm more appreciative of the turkey meat substitutions that are available. Think IHOP mixed in with a little Cracker Barrel. It's a chain breakfast place. They do just fine. There are only 2 breakfast places in the Legends (as far as I know) I'll never go to the IHOP again. The food is good and hot. Coffe was good. Pretty hard to screw up breakfast. I mistakenly took my kids on race weekend. It was packed. We only waited 5 min to be sat. Server was busy but did a good job. As busy as they were the staff did a good job keeping a good flow. I will be back. :-) read more

This place was horrible. Horrendous service to start. The place was empty and we waited 30 minutes to be seated. At least one thing was wrong on all 4 meals that was ordered, granite they made it right, but still not very intentive. If there was a 0 star option I would not hesitate to rate this restaurant with that. I would not recommend anyone to come here. There is a Hooters, Longhorn, and Applebees right next door. Please think of those options before you walk through this places' doors. read more
