No complaints here. I like that they have some healthier options like the fresh state omelet which can be paired with fruit. Their cinna-biscuits are a lot less healthy, but they are great little sweet bite appetizers for a group. There is a nice variety of breakfast options for everyone. Our service was great and never had an empty coffee cup. Paying up front is quick and bathrooms were clean. It had everything I needed for a nice breakfast right off the highway. read more

Haven't been there in over a year, used to love their food. Went last week for breakfast. Greeted by a young lady with a large nose ring. Nope but stayed anyway. Sausage patties were burnt both sides, hash brown were brown on top, as they should be, half done on the inside. Eggs were good, waitress was awesome! Subpar food in comparison to other chain locations for multiple reasons: Hair found baked into bread roll- sent back & replaced. Breakfast sausage (tasted by 2 people at table) had aftertaste of a dish soap. - When told to the server, she apologized but stated that's just how they are, stating the links were better. (Would have been good to know prior to ordering.) Coffee had grinds floating in it that I had to fish out with a spoon. Butter and bread both were right out of fridge cold making the butter extremely hard to spread on otherwise delicious banana nut bread. Server was unenthusiastic and average. read more

Ordered Country fried steak with over easy eggs. The eggs were far from easy. The cook obviously doesn't know what that means. They were hard. I specifically got toast so I could dip it in the eggs. Bob Evans used to have the best country fried steak ever. But this.... It tasted freezer burnt. It was awful. The DIRTIEST, NASTIEST location EVER!!!!!! The staff is beyond rude and has no idea what they're doing. Came in with a party of 9 adults and 4 children, everything was dirty! We arrived a little after 9 and they open at 7!!!!! We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time and none wanted to work. Our waitress who was actually normal and very helpful, was trying to accommodate all the issues that we had and was running around like a slave while the other 5+ girls sat around laughing and talking. I took my dad out for breakfast this morning and he wanted to go to Bob Evans. When we arrived we were seated right away. Waitress took our drink order. We ordered and got our meals. He got eggs over easy hashbrowns bacon and toast and I got a western omelette hashbrowns and toast.Nothing was burned everything was delicious! read more

My wife and I stop in for breakfast on 8/24/2022 and ordered the country biscuit breakfast with hash browns, the sausage was cold and the eggs were luke warm with the biscuit. The only food that was hot were the hash browns. I used to work in the food business where the food was suppose to be at a certain temp when served. Very disappointing. My daughter and I stopped in here around 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon. My first red flag should have been that the place was nearly empty. I ordered a bacon mushroom cheeseburger and fries and my daughter ordered a grilled chicken salad. Second red flag was that it took 25 minutes for my burger to come out at which point the server told us the chicken wasn't ready yet for the salad. The bacon on my cheeseburger was so hard and dried out that it reminded me of Baco-bits (but Baco-bits are much better). The burger itself was dried out, obviously overcooked and was likely sitting in the back for some time. When the salad came out, my daughter took 2 bites and said the chicken was terrible. I tasted it. No flavor whatsoever. It didn't taste spoiled, just no taste at all. So I figure they made the burger and the salad, something went wrong with the salad and the burger sat. Or, their burgers just are lousy in general. Who knows? The server notified the manager and he took it off the bill. I didn't press the issue of the burger and I paid the bill and got out of there. I arrived at 6:45am, and the only waitress was leaning on the counter snoring. A busboy seated me when he realized I had been standing there for five minutes. Waitress was friendly after her nap. Have you ever looked at a food server and wanted to run from a restaurant? Yeah, this waitress was that way. One look and you can tell her life has been one bad decision after another on the way to the welfare line. Tattoos all over, huge ghetto-claws. Think about that! When you visit the restroom you cleanup after, right? Those ghetto-claws are like ten little backhoe arms digging, scraping , nobody wants to think of this stuff. I wanted a breakfast. I didn't want a heaping helping of E. Coil bacteria from her ample backside. If she has those claws, how is she properly washing her hands? Good enough to touch your food? The three employees present (ghettozilla, the busboy, and a Manager '?') all stood talkingwhile I waited and waited for the check. Finally I stood up and went to the register. I left a fifty cent tip on a $12 bill to send the message. I told the Manager'?' , "pretty shitty service!" He seemed unconcerned. Bring a snack, you will need it because we waited for an additional half hour and ended up leaving after watching her harass a table across from ours over dessert all the while our food is under a turned off heat lamp getting cold defeating the purpose of the heat lamp. As we walked past her she looked confused that we would be leaving her area of wonderful neglect. The acting manager tried to make a bad situation better by offering our cold food to go, we declined and left. I recommend someone from corporate come ON SOME UNDERCOVER BOSS EPISODE AND REVIEW THIS LOCATION here or just shut it down and stop dragging down the other "Bob Evans" locations down with yours. The manager was slurring his words, either too intoxicated or far too tired - we couldn't quite tell - and the waitress named Jessica was completely incompetent. She got the order wrong, not once, not twice, but three times. She never refilled our drinks without us tracking her down, and she seldom visited our table.The whole experience was a joke. Bob Evans is basically an overpriced less than average diner. Service was awful-- we were never checked on and the waitress made several mistakes with the order. I ordered an omelet with two different cheeses and only got one, my boyfriend ordered loaded hash browns and got plain hash browns, and he got a really sad egg benedict. I literally paid $10 for an omelet with barely any cheese and little hash browns. My tip is to just go to an actual diner. read more

I have not been to a Bob Evans in 8 years. I will not be going back. We were there at 2:45 pm, there were 4 people in the place. We ordered our food and when it came, it lacked everything food should have. No taste, no heat(lukewarm) and just poor quality. I would recommend one thing here, the lemonade. It tasted better than the food. I'll suggest a menu item, eat somewhere else. They should close this place too. Deep fried potatoes, what happened to actually cooking them on a flat top? We have long been fans of Bob Evans and used to dine at this location often. Changes to that restaurant, as well as different dining choices in the area have since taken a toll on the frequently. After a long hiatus we dined here on a recent Weds. evening and here's our observation. While I appreciate that they have kept up with the times and remodeled this location to something more modern, it now feels cold and sterile, especially the excessively large "lobby area". Although dated, I miss the comfort and welcoming feel of the old country design. Being this is a Bob Evans I think they should rethink their current décor choices and go with something with a farmhouse feel. Clean from a distance but once you sit down you notice the little things they could improve on; food splatters on the wallpaper and sticky residue/visible dust on the wall moldings that bump up to the tables. While the food was excellent (as it usually is) and tastes very home cooked, but the menu changes constantly and long gone are some of our favorite meals from the past. Too bad they can't get the rest of the restaurant up to par with their good food. Menu was a tad confusing; the same meals are listed twice with different prices but no explanation was given for the difference until I asked. Apparently the duplicate meal listing is the meant for seniors (which no longer references this NOR is limited to just seniors) and a smaller serving size. Drinks are now served in mason type jars and they are just that; jars. They have a funky lip design forcing you to use a straw. They are also a smaller size. Total fail. While service was prompt I miss the old staff that went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Our young waitress smelled like an ashtray to the point that I could taste the smoke coming off of her. For a non-smoker this is quite unappetizing before a meal. It also made me question her cleanliness and food handling. The parking lot in on a decline and has a road running thru it. There's some spaces to the front and others to the side which feels choppy and some not familiar with the layout wouldn't realize the road running thru and think it's just a parking lot. This location is the last one in the area. I hope they can work out the clinks and once again be our to-go restaurant for when the home cooked meal craving hits. read more

I'm probably going to expend too much energy on this review, even though I waited an hour to chill out after tonight's totally unacceptable experience here before putting my thoughts down for you. We hadn't stopped here for a couple years due to a previous poor visit. Thought by now there would be enough turnover that maybe things had improved. Well, tonight I sheepishly had to admit to Mrs. Foodie that I screwed up. OUCH!!! At least 5 times I was reminded "I told you things wouldn't be better." We had an errand to run that would take us right past Bob's and I had received an email coupon. Perfect combo, right? (I'll be opting out of their mailing list after posting this.) After being seated, our soon to be waitress swooshed past with a breezy "Be with you shortly." Apparently on the farm Bob runs, shortly can be up to 10 minutes. Saw a series of inefficient trips to various tables where she'd forget items and had to go back up front. I'm getting grumbling from Mrs. FB and we haven't even ordered yet. Yikes! Ok. Now it's our turn. I said nicely "looks like you're busy....we'll give you our food and drink selections so you can save yourself an extra trip." "Ok, but you gotta tell me your drink order first." Like if I reversed the order, the wheels would fall off this wobbly wagon. We complied with her request: drink choices first, followed by food. Well, guess what happened? She brings out our salad and soup selections first. Alas, she couldn't even bring me the correct soup selection. Because we've now been here close to 25 minutes I asked the closest staff member to flag down the manager(ess). She arrived a few more minutes later and as I explained what had happened so far, our drinks finally appeared. After a lackluster attempt at an apology, they departed. Oh, yeah, the forgotten biscuits required yet another trip. Food finally arrives and some things are barely warm. Apparently the one hot item on my plate caused all the other things to have time to wait and cool down. Another wave to someone to flag down the manager(ess). She arrived and we advised her about the food temperature issue, (she already knew about the waitress issues) and to her credit, advised she's going to take care of the bill due to the substandard experience. It may be my imagination but I suspect by how quickly she offered this, it happens a bit more frequently than she'd ever admit. Since I help to instruct customer service skills in my occupation, I may be a bit more in tune with that side of the equation- don't toss all your cards onto the table right away. While she patiently listened, I wasn't given a feeling of "Hey, please, stop back and give us another chance. We're sure we can get it right next time." I'm pretty sure there won't be a next time. But I'm certain I'll hear an "I told you so" from Mrs. Foodie every time we drive past Bob's. read more

We haven't been here in a long time, and didn't want fast food for lunch, so we decided to stop by. I remember the rolls that were delicious, but this time they seemed too sweet for me. I got the grilled chicken breast and fries, but it looked more like tenderloins. It was tasty though, I didn't use the barbque sauce that came with it, my son got the same meal from the kids menu, which is a good price for the little ones, I think it was $2.99? Food wasn't too bad, once our server brought us our food, he disappeared and never came back?! Had to find someone to finalize our bill. The girl up front told us it would be 5 mins that she needed to put together two tables. She took my name and my family sat and waited. ..and waited. .while smaller parties went ahead. No problem we were a party of 5. Well....a party of 6 came in and they were seated. I asked the same girl where we were on the list. She said there is a 5 minute wait and asked my name again. Wtf...am I in the twighlight zone? She put me on the bottom of list! I asked for the manager...they went to get him. He said sorry and I was still on bottom of list! Service is horrible. Not a fan, unfortunately. This particular location is absolutely terrible with their service. If you have a few hours to kill--this is the place to go. Don't even think about stopping if you're on a time schedule. They must have only designated people who are allowed to seat diners because on many occassions, I've come in and had to wait at the host stand while four-five employees stand chatting, not five feet away, behind the bar. While I understand that management might make these designations, I thoroughly expect to at the very least be recognized when I walk into an establishment. It was unacceptable to stand waiting for a lenghty period of time, make eye contact with an employee, but not even receive a smile or head nod, let alone a "Hello!" or "We'll be with you in a minute!" We visited the Bob Evans in Lancaster PA off the Centerville exit on Saturday 5/19/19. We arrived about 4:50PM and were promptly seated. Our server did not approach the table until 5:15PM. We saw another couple walk out of the restaurant because of the wait. At check out we were asked how our meal was and I mentioned the wait time. I was asked if I wanted to see the manager. After a few minutes wait, he approached us. I explained about the wait time. He said that is not normal practice and walked away. My comment definitely fell on deaf ears. I used to go every weekend for breakfast until I noticed I was getting stomach pains and nausea shortly after eating. I gave up going for a while and had since visited a doctor and was put on a strict diet to address those stomach issues. Decided to go back yesterday with a group of friends because it's close, and ordered a custom omelette with ingredients that won't upset my stomach. About halfway through, I realized I had gotten onions put in (which are basically the worst for me). I told the waitress about it and how I physically can't digest onions and she sympathized and brought me a new omelette, but I still had to pay for it. Seriously? They seated us and we must have waited 15 minutes before my mom had to go tell the manager we needed someone to come by and at least take our drink order. She finally showed up, obviously stoned by the expression in her eyes, took our drink and food order. We stopped here at the Lancaster, PA Bob Evans Restaurant last week and this is the first time we were very disappointed. Restaurant was sloppy, the servers don't clean up after the patrons. The manager stood behind the counter just talking to the staff, never once walked around checking on the patrons. Received our salad, only to be asked to bring the salad dressing. We overheard a couple sitting across from us asking for the same thing. Before we left, I used the ladies room and noticed there was no liquid soap in the dispenser so I notified the cashier and she was visibly annoyed that she had to go and add more soap.
