If you like southern meals this a great option. The food is very tasty, lots of options you would typically find in this style of restaurant. I call it Thanksgiving comfort food lol. We have been a few times recently and our servers are always friendly and come enough times to our table. They are very nice to our kids and like many places they provide coloring pages and crayons to keep them entertained. There is a small section up front with merchandise like shirts and stuffed animals, some kitchen things and other misc items. The only issues I've had, and the reason for the four star, is that some of our food was not very hot, the bathrooms were a little messy each visit and the health rating on the door was a B. Also, one of the times we went they were out of turkey and green beans. Which was disappointing. Not a flawless experience, but good comfort food and kids each free on Tuesdays! We visited this restaurant on 01-01-2026 in Hillview in Louisville, Ky and we were riding along and we noticed the other restaurants were just loaded with customers. The is the reason that waitress are patronizing them because they are so welcoming. They all have good customer service ( waitresses). When we were there the white girl was working by herself as a waitress, and she was really a good waitress. There was a black girl that could have helped her but all she did was clean. The black girl working today. Didn't even acknowledge that we there waiting to be waited. She at least say "I will be right with you" or "say that the other waitress will be right with you, "but she didn't even welcome us. All she did was keep on cleaning. The other waitresses need to be trained on how you are suppose to treat the customers as far was how to greet, and welcome the customers that come into the restaurant to eat. I think that is why you all don't have more customer than you do. Please have your waitresses not just to clean, but to recognize the customer, and acknowledge them, and make them fill welcomed. Terrible customer service, terrible wait time. My family ordered in advance for a 2:15pm pickup on Mother's Day. We just left at 3:04PM Waiting 20 minutes to even be asked our name for the order. 30 minutes in a guy walked up to us told us he couldn't find the cake, so they made all hot food and held us up over a cold serve cake so of course everything was cold as the cake. The blond girl with the princes buns was disrespectful! She threw her hands up every-time we asked for help, stared at us as she whispered about how bad we were when we waited nearly an hour for our food. Servers care more about tips, managers care more about a smoke break in their car, and back of house cares more about vaping in the restroom. Bob Evans is an American restaurant franchise that has been around the Louisville area for what I can recall as practically my whole life. They are a standard run fo the mill restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I was younger I can remember only liking there breakfast foods. Now that I'm older it worked out perfect because they serve breakfast all day. I've been to this location quite a bit over the years. They always keep it upkept really well but they are usually on the slower side and the service is hit and miss. Pricing isn't ever too bad. On our latest visit I got the steak and eggs breakfast. Eggs were solid (a smidge cold), the sirloin was tiny and tough. Like it made Waffle House steaks look like fine dining. The hash browns side was pretty tasty and I did love my banana nut bread side. Overall my meal was just solid. Wish the steak was better but it is what it is. My wife got the homestead (bacon and eggs variety plate) and some French toast. She mainly shared the eggs and bacon with our 1 year old daughter. Her French toast was "just decent". My oldest daughter got the double chocolate hot cakes. And I'll give props. They were phenomenal. I keep swiping samples off her plate. The other two daughters got kids meals. They get what they get at every place. One gets a chicken tender/nugget and the other gets a cheeseburger. The 2nd oldest liked her tenders a lot. So that was approved. The 2nd youngest ate half her cheeseburger. So hit or miss on that one. Overall bob Evans is always a solid place to grab a bite. You kinda know what your getting when you go. So my expectations aren't ever through the roof. It's never a place I'll crave or seek out but it's the type of establishment where I'm like "we haven't been there in awhile". I'm not really a breakfast gal. But my MIL and my son are. So when we were visiting I went along for their beloved breakfast date. We had never been to this establishment but everyone was so welcoming and treated us like family. I don't know what the guy's actual title is (I think he said his name was Rod) but he should be the guy in charge if he isn't. If he is, he's a great leader. He treated us like we were his only guests, outside of introducing us to our neighbor diner. He accommodated our needs and kept a close eye on us to make sure we were good for our entire meal. Coming from Baltimore, this was like a breath of fresh air. Customer service is lacking greatly in this country right now. A first when we went into the restaurant there were several people waiting . Was told it was a 25 minute wait. Which was fine for a Sunday afternoon. After there were five couples given tables . My husband and I should of been next. The woman that called the names call two other names. My husband went to ask her and she said she could not read the name so she just moved on to the next page. I have now been on hold for a total of 50 minutes (you are disconnected after 19 minutes) attempting to find out when my family dinner will be ready for pickup before I drive there to pick it up. I drove 11 miles to pick up my Christmas dinner even though I couldn't get them on the phone. Ordered through Doordash. The Doordasher arrived at the restaurant timely and waited while updating me throughout. An hour passed since I placed the order, and the doordasher messaged to let me know they asked about my order, and they hadn't started preparing it yet. The doordasher let me know they were going to take another close delivery and would come back to get my order. The dasher messaged me about 30 minutes later, and no one would assist the dasher back at the restaurant. The dasher even sent me a picture of an empty counter where they said everyone-including the manager, was all in the back. The dasher attempted to ask about my order, and no one would help them. This is unacceptable for anyone to be treated so terribly and dismissed while they waited patiently. Obviously, I canceled my order since it had been 2 hours. I felt horrible for the dasher who had wasted a great deal of time waiting for my order. You see, I am a very understanding person, and if someone had explained to the dasher they were understaffed or given any excuse at all, I would have overlooked this. Picked up a carry out strawberry pie for a party. Got there and cut it it was coconut cream. I called and the manager on duty, a lady, was super nice and told me to come in and get a replacement pie and my money back. When i got there the manager on duty,Brett, was rude and refused the refund. He acted like it was no big deal and it happened all the time. Are usually go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, I hardly ever come to Bob Evans. I'm glad I made an exception this time! The food was hot, what was supposed to be crispy was crispy, what was supposed to be sweet was sweet... and not too sweet, and all of the food came out at the same time when it was supposed to for the group of eight of us. I had a waffle, fried eggs over hard, and bacon. It's breakfast... when you have these regular staples there's not a lot extra to say about them. So let me tell you about the service... The service was excellent our server was Jessica and everything was on point. We didn't have to ask for refills, we didn't have to look for her, it was almost like she anticipated our needs and I love that! Definitely a place I will come again. I haven't ordered from Bob Evan's in years because of the poor service at the location closest to my home. I decided to give them a second chance when I received a $50 gift card. I ordered a family chicken tender meal with mashed potatoes, salad, macaroni and cheese, rolls, cookies, and banana bread. The rolls were as hard as rocks. They were either stale or frozen. The macaroni and cheese that I waited an extra 10 minutes for was cold. The chicken tenders were mediocre at best. The salad was probably from a bag. The mashed potatoes, cookies, and banana bread were the only highlight of the meal. The location on 11800 Standiford Plaza Drive In Louisville, Ky 40229 continues to disappoint. Poor service. Whoever put those rolls in there knew they were bad or just flat out didn't care. I don't recommend this place. read more

Let my misfortune be your gain. When you want a bite, pass right on by Bob Evans. My dining partner and I try to frequent local establishments but we needed a quick bite and Bob Evans was available. We were both optimistic about our choices; the full turkey dinner for him and the potato crusted flounder for me. Our service was alright, nothing particularly bad but not attentive and not very confident about anything on the menu. However, the other waitress who swept the carpet next to us was beyond belief. We moved our food away from that side of the table because she was sweeping the dirt vigorously on the carpet and you could see it fly up in the air. Their raspberry vinaigrette is amazing. Probably one of the best vinaigrettes out there. It's not a great marker when the salad dressing is the best thing on the menu. We ate and both agreed it was bland, but pretty good. The rolls were hot and fresh and our food was decent. However... Later that night we were both in a world of hurt. Heartburn, sick at our stomachs, nauseous, and those are just the words I can politely write. Something at Bob Evans made us very ill. Typically, I am a creature of habit! 99 percent of the time, I'm getting the Cinnamon Supreme hot cakes with extra extra whip creme , and sausage parties with syrup. Today was no different. The food always tastes great, and that's what keeps me coming back. The only reason why I gave three stars, is because of the service. The cashiers were nice, but they were not quick to complete my order. I had already paid an above average tip, and I watched as my food sat for almost 10 minutes waiting to be bagged and handed to me. I figured the cashier needed to see me standing at the register to remind them, but that didn't work. The longer I stood, the colder my food had gotten. Eventually one of the severs saw me standing there and assisted me. I made sure to let her know my food had been sitting there for a while. She didn't apologize, but she was nice. Definitely did not expect a wait time, however we had about twenty minutes midday. The waitress that called our name seemed very frustrated and was not happy to be there at all. I always say service with a smile, definitely not the case. Once seated, our server came over quickly. She was very nice, appearance wasn't the best and she coughed at the table, a major pet peeve of mine. We waited way seemed like forever for our breakfast and refills. Our food was warm and delicious, I always over eat at breakfast. In the background throughout the course of our meal, we heard glass break three times which is a bit disturbing.
