Terrible steak. They used to be great. I came almost every week, and the steak was great until two weeks ago, and now it's terrible, so dry and tough. I dont know why, maybe they got a new chef? or changed the supplier?

Amanda (manager from Bob Evan's Oxford) is my new favorite person! My Freshman daughter has been sick with a cold since she's gotten to Miami. I had to tell her that Our 11 year old dog unfortunately died today and she was crying in the stairwell cuz her roommate was in the room studying. I tried to order door dash chicken noodle soup from Bob Evan's in Oxford OH, but DoorDash wouldn't deliver it today since they were closing in 30 min. I called and spoke to the manager named Amanda and told her my story and that I was calling from CA. She asked an employee if she paid him $5 would he deliver soup, biscuits and pumpkin pie and then told me it was on her when I tried to pay over the phone. So sweet, it made me cry and I'm still crying about it. I told her I'm coming to Oxford at the end of the month to find her. My daughter said the chicken soup was great and just what she needed and that the pumpkin pie was the best pie she had ever had and she's had a lot of pies in her 18 years! And to top it off Amanda called me back to make sure my daughter got everything and was OK. Amanda at Bob Evan's is my favorite person in Oxford. Please tell her I said that if you see her!

Their menu is enormous, the prices are fair for the amount of food you get (i.e. a lot), and the people-watching at this location is always interesting (especially Sunday mornings). The wait can be long sometimes due to all the undergraduates who eat here as well as the church crowd, but it will be worth it. Quick note: the coffee is just okay. The food is good enough. It isn't bursting with flavor, but that's not why you come to the Bevans. You come here for slightly greasy and hearty portions of good-enough breakfast and lunch. The fries are not that good. The pancakes are pretty good. The sausage gravy is slightly weird. The food is hit and miss. But again, you come here for the experience. So go.

Sometimes they got wonderful fried chicken, but this time is sooo bad, am I eating a stone with a which core?

I have probably been to Bob Evans 1,937 or so times in my life. Many good experiences, many terrible experiences. As far as Bob Evans goes, this was one of the better! My husband and I came on a Saturday morning around 9:30. Usually you have to wait for a table at Bob Evans at that hour, but the restaurant was only about half full. Our server was super friendly and personable. She checked on us often and returned promptly with our requests. I ordered the Rise and Shine and my husband ordered the Homestead. I always order eggs over-medium, which seemed to be lost on Bob Evans for a while and I resorted to ordering scrambled. This time though, I took a chance and they delivered! Perfect over-medium eggs. Same for my husband. The home fries, one of my favorite parts of a BE breakfast, were cooked perfectly also. Crispy on the outside, just cooked enough on the inside. The coffee was fresh and just kept coming. All around great food and service!

Expensive cafeteria food. Miami U staff doesn't know how to cook. Really depends who is in the kitchen.

I started smiling as soon as we walked in. Such a cool and fun atmosphere. Chicago sports memorabilia everywhere you look along with Chicago food favorites on offer. The bar is old and wooden with comfortable seats. It has a really nostalgic feel, like an urban neighborhood pub from decades ago. Plenty of tables, and I've heard rumors of an upper deck that is open at appropriate times. There is also outdoor seating on High Street. The atmosphere is undoubtedly very different on a Friday night when it's packed with upper classmen throwing back shots, but on a weekday late afternoon suppertime I'd say it's family friendly and welcoming to all. (I even saw a sign behind the bar: No explicit lyrics before 9 pm.) There were several staff members at work either making food or behind the bar. They were all quite young, and quite friendly and cheerful. I'm holding off on the fifth star till we get a chance to try the food. We had already eaten and just stopped for a couple of beers (a Truth and a Mich Ultra, on tap). But now I'm writing this I'm getting a serious craving for Italian Beef, so hope to be back soon.

They offer $12 flights so you can try a few. Today we shared sauerkraut balls which are crispy out, soft and tangy in, complemented by a very tasty creamy mustard sauce. You get eight in the order and they are plenty big. My husband got the avocado bacon burger which was a delight for the eyes as well as the palate. It must have been a half pound and done to perfect medium as requested. I was in a bratwurst and potato pancake mood and after the app I was craving more sauerkraut, so I went for the King Ludwig. This is listed under Sandwiches but believe me, this is knife and fork, and you might also need a ladder. This dish could feed three people. Big thick brat sausage patties and huge potato pancakes. Delicious! Pro tip: ask for some sour cream and some of that mustard aioli. The beer cheese that it comes with is good but didn't seem to go with this particular dish. I dipped some chips in it instead. This was our second visit. Glad to finally return. It can be an adventure getting here, not the least of which is the parking nightmare of Oxford. The descent of the iron railed stairs is kind of fun. There is a handicapped access at the rear of the building, leading to an elevator, but it's designed for wheelchairs or scooters because the ramp is very long. For a person with mobility difficulty who can still walk, this would be a very long walk and they'd probably do better with the stairs. My husband has this issue and he concurred. The wait staff is young and enthusiastic, neatly attired, and so very kind and helpful. The German decor is delightful. What a treasure! Get down here, you'll be glad you did.
