I made an appointment at Bob Hook to get my car's airbag recall taken care of. They got me in within a week, at a time convenient for me. Arriving at the dealership, I was greeted kindly, and ushered inside. I had to wait at a service desk while the employee completed some calls. To my right were several guys who worked there, not busy, standing around shooting the sh!t. I overhead them say something to the effect of, "Those Hispanics, they triple our billable hours, hahaha." I'm not sure if tripling billable time was supposed to be good or bad, but it didn't feel like a good thing. A Latino man who also worked there was walking by at that moment, and they said "Right, (name)?" And he nodded and kinda looked beaten down as he headed off to wherever he was going. It felt really uncomfortable to witness. My car was taken care of very well, and the staff I interfaced with were friendly and courteous to me. I was, however, put off by the casual racism (and in customer-facing spaces no less). I appreciated their help with my car recall, but I'll find somewhere else to take it next time. read more

I never thought I would have to write a review about this place, but let's start with the GOOD: The Sales Department is top notch! I purchased two vehicles from there a few years ago. One brand new, the other used... Now the BAD: When bringing a vehicle in for service, that's a whole different story! When you bring a vehicle in for service and the vehicle has to stay a day or so, the only good thing provided is free coffee and a shuttle service back home! If you need anything major (A/C, Engine, Transmission, Brakes), you're in trouble! Go elsewhere! It seems like only ONE person works on vehicles back there! They're always behind even if you had an appointment. They never have a courtesy vehicle as advertised. Communication about the status of your vehicle is obsolete. You have to practically go in-person to Bob Hook service department to ask about your vehicle because they will not call or email you back. I don't know what's going on in this service department but I will not bring my vehicle back. If I ever get it back! It's been there over 2 months already! read more

I had an appointment for an oil change for 9:00 this morning. I was there a little early and left my car for them to change the oil. Over two hours later I checked on the progress (they assured me two hours max.) They hadn't even started and gave me no idea how much longer. Their excuse was they only had one rack for my car and it was being used. When I asked why didn't you tell me this when I arrived or better yet before I made my appointment there was no response. This isn't the first time of very late and poor performance on the same car earlier this year for a new air conditioning compressor only this time the delay ended up being a week. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Kelly sent us several videos in advance since we were driving in from Tennessee. They make promises about service they cannot keep and they are just too overwhelmed to respond to questions and calls. I dropped off a car at 7:30am on Thursday and was told it would be ready by the end of the day on Friday and at that time, it hadn't been looked at yet. They weren't concerned. I can't speak highly enough of the Bob Hook Service Department. We have used them for years to service our vehicles. Between July and September of 2019 we became frequent fliers with them. First my station wagon had a gas leak. The original thought was older vehicle and natural wear and tear. Two weeks later the air conditioning on my husband's Buick Enclave stopped working. Two weeks after that a warning light came on the dashboard of the Enclave warning of a problem with the brakes. Several weeks after that the gas line on the station wagon started leaking again. Tim in the service department was there each time to jump in and assist us. It turns out that we have or had some critter (probably a squirrel but maybe a groundhog) that decided to reek havoc on our vehicles. It chewed right through the gas line twice. It stripped the wiring from the air conditioning compressor, and then again decided the harness for the brakes on the Enclave was fair game also. Tim jumped right in to find how to replace the gas line on a vehicle that is too old for the shop to have access to the part. Between my husband and Tim's research they found where to buy the kit to fix the gas line. By the second time around with the repair Tim was researching products that protect the gas line from rodents chewing. He advised my husband to get a special metallic tape that has cayenne pepper fused into it to wrap the gas line with. The variety of repairs were costly but would have been far worse if the service department didn't show a little compassion. Bob Hook Service you really are WOOHOO, AS GOOD AS IT GETS! The customer service abysmal and multiple staff were rude. People within the service department allowed my truck to sit for over a week with no contact of any sort and no resolution on the case a specific representative made numerous promises that he didn't keep. Once supervisors got involved they acted like they were doing me a favor and my fears were not real. When I finally arrived to pick up my check I had to wait an hour and during this period I was yelled at by staff multiple times. Reply to response: My car was not towed to your lot. I stand by my comments the gentleman stated this part of the experience has only taken 5 or 10 minutes became agitated with me when I asked questions and then left his desk. I dropped my car off after work on a Tuesday so it could be looked at Wednesday. After getting an insane quote (350 to run diagnostics on top of that) I called a different dealership who could do the same work for a third of the price. I did need a keyfob so I asked if I could order that. After being given five different prices, I was eventually told that it would be 119 plus 165 to program (which I was okay with since I needed a new key fob). The following morning, I asked for it to be ready around twelve so i could have someone drive me to the dealership on my lunch.. I show up on my lunch at 12:30 and it's still not ready and i was asked to pick up the next day. After I explained I need then my car to go out of town once I left the dealership, I was told it would be done within 30 minutes. Currently sitting inside, at the hour and a half mark waiting on the keyfob. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

We have tried unsuccessfully to reach out to the service department and the owner bob hook regarding this issue and have yet been contacted by anyone from this business. This is a scam of a business. They sell faulty cars for cheap, and then completely screw you over with repairs in the following months. My boyfriend recently purchased a car from them - less than 6 months ago. Since purchasing this car, he has had to pay over $5,000 in car repairs. He even purchased a warranty to ensure that he is safely covered, as the car he was purchasing was used. The Bob Hook crew checked out the car prior to sale and said "everything looks great. You're getting a great deal" Their entire crew is filled with incompetent staff just looking to make money. They do not care who they screw over to make commission. I purchased my 2011 Chevy Silverado back in 2013 from Bob Hook Chevrolet. Since then I have continued to return every 5,000 for my scheduled oil change and vehicle inspection. While almost all of my experiences here have been pleasant, one time (and the only reason I can't give a 5) the day after an oil change I pulled my truck out of the drive only to discover a five foot in diameter, ugly oil stain standing right where I was parked. My blood was pumping probably just as hard as my oil pump was. I crawled underneath to see where the problem was. The slow drip was coming from the drain plug on the oil pan. (I know a thing or two about vehicles) I got some kitty litter from the neighbor to soak up any standing oil there was. Still I was left with a nasty stain on my driveway. After speaking to the service department about the problem I drove straight to the dealership. With no wait they took my truck to the back to inspect the issue, for no charge. The person who helped me later told me they found nothing wrong with the drain plug and didn't know why it was leaking. I felt that my knowledge of vehicles was insulted, knowing that someone either didn't tighten it down enough of cross threaded the plug. I was out my time on cleaning my driveway but fortunately I have a great pressure washer that cleaned up the mess. Given that bad experience I still like taking my vehicle to Bob Hook Chevrolet but will not work with that particular service person again. The other guys are always friendly and have always treated me with respect. For a full size truck you are looking at about $35 for an oil change and multi point inspection. I would recommend Bob Hook as a service center, even with the one bad experience. read more

I am very disappointed in the service I have received from the service department from Bob Hook. My 2018 Equinox has been in twice for the same problem. The first time they couldn't hear the problem It was brought in for. This time the identified the problem however, the can't get the part and since it's not a safety issue they will no longer paid for a rental. When they locate the part, they will contact me. Twice after showing up for an appointment for recall work the staff acted like the appointment didn't exist. The second time I took the name of the person who I made the appointment with and threw it out there as proof because I knew they were going to try to do me like that. Then the guy tried to act like all recall work had been done already, producing a report of all the recall repairs I've already had to have. I was smart enough to bring the notice letter with me to prove the problem was real and had been acknowledged by corporate GM. Then I sat in the waiting room for an hour while service people came and went, listening to them try to nickel and dime other customers with a slew of extra repairs...call them Bob Crook. Finally, since they hadn't even begun work on my vehicle yet, I asked for my keys back and left. General Motors makes a bad product that literally kills people. After manufacturing and selling millions of death traps, they took a bailout composed of tax dollars paid by the families of the people they'd killed and millions of other customers who are in danger for their lives every time they get behind the wheel thanks to this company's cold, calculating attention to the bottom line. GM is straight evil from the top floor of their corporate HQ in Detroit, a city they helped to destroy, to the desk of every greasy salesman and the shop floor of every scamming service center across this nation.
