Bob is super friendly and treats you like a good buddy the very first time and every time! Not to mention he works magic, too. I went in for an adjustment due to pains related to second trimester prenancy. He noticed that my back is slight twisted and was very patient to explain, in plain english, where the pain came from. He reassured me that my body just needs to be regularly exercised, and that if I still don't feel better, I can come back for further adjustments, but that adjustments are just external methods of stretching, the key is really to use exercise to rebalance the body. I go at least once a month for an adjustment with Bob. Entire staff is warm and welcoming. I like the music playing. I am placed on a roller table on heated pads 1st. I ask for the highest intensity on roller and request extra hot heated pads so the heat penetrates my back getting me loosened up for my adjustment. Bob is down to earth, nerdy, and entertaining. Warning, you might feel a lot better after only one visit and will be so ecstatic you might want to dance but fear not, for Bob is ready for a celebratory dance. Ps. I would give this place a 5 star but its difficult to find parking. It sucks to enjoy a massage and have to worry about time limits on parking. If your going to book here, be sure to situate your parking either uber, lyft, or stay at a local hotel so that you can relax after massage. Other than that, they are perfectly located by boutique shops and sit down restaurants if that is your thing. The service is amazing here, but they don't have as many rooms for massages. Cant blame them since their specialty is chiropractic. However, their prices are pretty good as compared to higher end massage services. My deep tissue massage felt more like a sports massage, but that's just as good.Your getting students who are want to earn a good reputation as they venture into the field. read more

I've been going here for about a year and it was OK for the money. But after going recently and feeling worse right after I left, I called and spoke to the receptionist and told her. She spoke to the Dr. and she told me that its normal to have pain right after and to give it a day. I told her I didn't think so and she said she would call me back in a couple hours.. NEVER DID! So I made another appointment and told the Dr. that I think I have a pinched nerve after his last adjustment and he went off on how it's not a pinched nerve, etc.. So I just left and went to a new Chiropractor and guess what I was told after he examined me.. "You have a pinched Nerve!" He adjusted me and I feel GREAT!!! Great chiropractor! I have always been skeptical of chiropractors since I've never found one that truly helped my lower back pain. I reluctantly tried this place because of their great deal for massages, which BTW they have some great therapists. After meeting Bob and discussing my problem I made an appt for an adjustment. After 1 adjustment I noticed a difference and scheduled another. After 3 adjustments, major difference in my back. I'm a believer now. One drawback is Bob's disturbingly dead on likeness to his logo. I had severe pain and was bed ridden for one week. I have health insurance but decided to try a chiropractor first. Knowing that a consultation was $15 was attractive to me. After 10-15 minutes, Bob was confident about what the problem was and he gave me excellent advice as to how to heel. He was refreshingly honest telling me that there was not much he could do for me. What a difference a day makes! So I've been going to a different chiropractor in Long Beach for a few years and I haven't liked the service I got, he gave great adjustments but I felt like I was part of an assembly line. My fiance knew I wasn't happy so got me a $100 gift certificate for Bob. Yesterday I had to go to downtown LA for a business meeting. Well, the meeting got out at 4:20 and I had to spend an hour and a half on the 110 and 405 to get back to the LBC. I made it just in time for my appointment and man were my nerves frayed! Dr Bob proceeds to greet me with a smile and a joke and already I relax a bit. Then he proceeds to put me on the greatest rolling table in the world. Man, was that good. I almost fell asleep and when I got up, I almost fell down I was so dizzy with relief. Then comes the adjustment. Well, then come the jokes. He's a funny dude with a great bedside manner. Then comes the awesome adjustment with detailed explanations of what's wrong with me. Then more jokes. Then talk about baseball. Then the hardsell about haveing to come back 3 times a week for 2 months so he can fix my problem........ PSYCHE! He said come back when you feel like you need one. Wow, first time that happened with a chiropractor! At my last chiro, I feel like a cog. Here I felt like a valued client. read more

This review is only for the massage. When you walk into the main door they take you back outside and there are several massage rooms next door. Nothing fancy but they are dimmed rooms with music playing. One of the rooms faces broadway and they have white blinds but I would have liked more privacy and wouldn't hurt to put a film over it to make room not so bright. Plus when people go in and out of the building the blinds move around and make noise. I had two massages with Ali. She is talented however both times my massage was cut short. She was running behind before my massage started and I figured she would have made up the time missed but she ended the massage at the time it should have ended if it was started on time. The first appointment was cut short by 5 min and the second appointment by 10 min. I would be curious to try someone different. read more

I've been having a stubborn lower back ache and decided to finally give this place a shot. I walked by the store frequently but never thought to check it out until recently. I was able to get a same-day appointment for a massage with Antoinette. She was friendly, courteous and I had a great experience. She made sure to check in with me about the intensity of the massage, which I always appreciate. The massage didn't make my ache go away but it helped immensely. Antoinette also provided me some great tips and tools for self-care and healing. Thank you!! From what I've experienced, getting a massage appointment is a lot easier here than getting one for an adjustment (I suppose it's because there are several masseurs but only one "Bob, the chiropractor") and I wasn't able to get an adjustment appointment yet when I called. Will try again though and I look forward to trying that out as well. UPDATE: I've now also gone back to see Bob, the chiropractor for an adjustment and that was a great experience as well. My lower back pain has significantly subsided, I even brought my mother for an adjustment, and I will be back again. He is professional, personable and honest. Thanks! read more

Bob is freakin' awesome! He's funny, easy going, and professional. I've had him crack my spine a few times and it's always helped loosen me up. So if you're looking for a good price, great work, and an even better person, go see Bob. This is more a review of the massage services. My neck locks up on a regular basis and causes a minimum of a week in pain. In addition I work in a warehouse moving heavy shit all day, so my back and shoulders are pretty much always wrecked. I recently had my neck lock up and a huge knot formed on my upper back so I decided to cave to the pain and get a massage. This wasn't the typical 'rub and knead' massage you pay fifty bucks for and lay there feeling relaxed and comfortable. This was a precise, injury focused massage. It was excruciating. The masseuse used combinations of Vulcan death grips and deep kneading to work the knots out. I didn't get the great relaxing feeling I was expecting for an hour, but I did get the pain to stop and full range of motion returned to my neck and arms. I'm sure they have the ability to do a simple, relaxing 1 hour massage and I'm sure it would be amazing, but if you have actual pain and stiffness GO HERE! Also I must reiterate, Bob is freakin' awesome (and a Long Beach local so support him if you love Long Beach)! read more

I wish I could give less then one star but I wanted to be heard so badly this place was a disappointment first off it looks like a gym with impersonal cots with no dividers I called them early with a spinal emergency my wife could barely get there we where 10 minutes late because of her limited mobility and they refused to see her luckily I whipped out my handy dandy yelp app and found clements chiropractic center they are clean with friendly staff and doctors and very affordable thank goodness for them recognizing urgency and having compassion it had turned out my wife had 4 dislocated ribs ouch!! glad we found clements my wife is a couple visits away from a full recovery no thanks to Bob I hope in the future they can work on having better patient courtesy and care read more
