    Inside.

What a cute boba place! I was intrigued by the name when I was driving past it and decided to give it a try. The inside decor is tastefully designed and executed. Love the curvy seat that can fit many people. Cool place to hang out with friends! I ordered the Strawberry & Banana Slush and Daily Special (I came on a Monday, so it was Cheese Sticks and Milk Tea or Thai Tea). I don't like my drinks to be too sweet so for both drinks I specifically asked for 50% sugar. The milk tea was fine but the strawberry & banana slush was exceedingly too sweet. I had to pour in some water and mix it to make it less sweet but of course it ruined the structure and taste. The cheese sticks were ok. The staffs were courteous. They were busy making the orders of a few customers before me and when they saw me in front of the cashier, they approached me and asked for me to wait for a bit. The place looks clean and well maintained.

I finally tried Boba Chew Chew on a Saturday night around 8 PM. We weren't super hungry, so we just got small stuff--Bulgogi Rice, popcorn chicken, and fries. The Chicken Katsu was already sold out, which kinda sucked. We got Matcha Milk Tea with oat milk, and Strawberry Dairy-Free Milk Tea. They both were weak and barely had any flavor. The food was okay but nothing special--even though we live 3 minutes away, it was lukewarm by the time we got home. The Bulgogi Rice and popcorn chicken looked plain, like something from a grocery store freezer. The fries were basic, just regular fries. The café itself is cute and fun for photos, but it's not family-friendly--no high chairs or bathroom, so we had to take our food to go. Overall, it was overpriced especially for the drinks, and not that good. I wouldn't go back unless I just wanted a place to hang out for pics.

I love the concept of this boba shop! super cute and esthetically beautiful inside. Prices are okay. They also have small snacks and personally the popcorn chicken is my favorite. They used to put the drinks in a "can" type of cup which is one of my favorite things about this place but I guess that changed bc now it's regular cups, but the taste is just as good Quick service and I've never had to wait in line to order (:

This review is so overdue! I love going to Boba Chew Chew. They have the best cheese foam. Their drinks used to be served in soda-like containers. During my last visit, I saw that they have an upcharge if you want a soda can container. The inside is very aesthetically pleasing. There are lots of areas where you can take pictures. They have a couple of tables and a long snake-like bench where you can enjoy your drink. I have tried a variety of drinks but my favorite are the lavender and jasmine milk teas with cheese foam. Sometimes it is busy. However, I haven't waited more than ten minutes for a few drinks. They have a punch card system if you visit often. Give them a try if you are in the area!

What a cute establishment Boba Chew Chew is! I've been coming to this place on and off, and the drinks here are pretty tasty! I usually stick with my usual milk tea, and match milk teas as they're my favorite! The staff here is very friendly, and this place offers both self serve tablets, as well as in person ordering. There's plenty of parking in this plaza, so accessing the store shouldn't be an issue! Definitely give them a try if you have any boba cravings! They also serve food as well!

My final review of 2024 goes to Boba Chew Chew, the cutest little boba shop tucked away in a strip mall near the local college. It's easy to see why it's so popular with the college crowd. The ambiance here is what really stands out to me--it feels like you're in a cozy train station, which adds such a unique charm to the experience. I tried the Thai Tea with boba, and while it was absolutely delicious, I do wish they offered more size options. At over $7 for just one size, it's a bit on the pricey side. Overall, though, it's a lovely spot.

This place is so cute inside! Even though I was grabbing a drink to-go I loved the train themed seating! I ordered a taro smoothie, but they had some interesting items on the menu that I'd like to try next time, like their refreshers. My drink was creamy and good and I liked the taste and texture of the boba. Service was good, my drink was made in a timely manner. And they accept Apple Pay which is nice. I'll definitely be stopping by here again when I'm craving boba! :)

Cute spot with convenient parking. I stopped by for a quick boba grab with my boyfriend but watch out because getting a drink was not quick if that's what you're looking for. There were only two orders ahead of us, with one of the couples already waiting when we got there. It definitely felt like we were waiting close to 15mins for our drinks if not more. Now, I think because they make everything fresh, it does take longer, but I wasn't expecting that for what we ordered. They only had two people working, one of which was taking orders, so maybe that's why. There's some seating but only two booths if you want something more comfy or cute from an aesthetics standpoint. I think the drinks are good but didn't amaze me. That plus the long-ish wait nets this place at 4 stars.

I got the pleasure of visiting Boba Chew Chew a few times. I've never had trouble with parking but I can see it may be a challenge during weekends or during prime time hours. There is no restroom. Cafe has great aesthetics and is so adorably welcoming!!!! Customer service has always had great vibes, no matter who the barista is. I've always enjoyed my conversations when I visit! So thank you for taking the time to talk to a customer!!! The coffees I ordered here, Vietnamese and Thai Tea coffees have been soooooo ridiculously good!!! I also ordered the popcorn chicken and mozzarella sticks - both good, I'd like to try their other food options! Thanks for offering such a great cafe experience!

Check out this fire boba spot across from Mt. Sac! They've got awesome daily specials Monday to Friday where you can snack on classic boba cafe faves like popcorn chicken or squid balls and grab a drink for just $8.95! Their snacks are hot and crispy, and their milk tea and Thai tea are must-tries. Shoutout to our server for recommending the Blossom Snow!

    Sean Z.

it's a train station themed boba tea shop across from Mt Sac. The decor is clean without clutter. The set up is cute. They have different selection of tea and fruit slushes. The service is good. The wait time was reasonable. The dalgona milk tea was unique, tasted almost like dalgona coffee. I'm not so sure about other drinks. Some are just milk tea with syrup. The topping I had was mini bobas, they were not over nor under cooked; provided tender chewy texture. The drinks are slightly on the expensive side but acceptable. Overall, it gets a 4.5 out of 5.

Found this place on Yelp and was intrigued to come because of the decor. I was originally going to just order drinks but the food looked good. I ordered the Thai Iced Tea Slush with boba, Ice Caramel Latte Mocha, Watermelon Slush, chew chew chicken, and French fries. Thai Iced Tea Slush with boba : very good Ice Caramel Latte Mocha : To sweet for me & I like sweet Watermelon Slush : very very fresh and refreshing to drink Chew chew chicken : best popcorn chicken I have ever had Fries: also very good and the season was perfect I absolutely loved the decorations and the concept of this place. They put a lot of time and thought into this and I love it. The staff was great and everything was so clean. 10/10

Blossom Snow with Popping Boba (Seasonal)

We've been coming to Boba Chew Chew for a little while now and this is one of our favorite spots for a quick treat, one that both my kids ask for by name. While I'm not one to typically rate for ambiance or service, this place really stands out in both of these areas. For ambiance, this place is just plain cute. The train theme is cute and clean, the seasonal decorations are always very well done, and my wife always snickers when Piccadilly station shows up on the flip board. Honestly, I don't think the boba tea section stands out too much in comparison to other places in the area (don't get me wrong, they're solid), but where this place truly shines for me is in their snows and service. Now, we have our favorite drinks, the seasonal Blossom Snow in the spring being our all-time favorite and the Starburst (tastes like Hi-Chew) being a close second for me, but what's great is that our kids can just name the fruits that they want and the helpful folks can give them a great recommendation every time. These guys go above and beyond and are more than happy to help you find the drink you're looking for. I'd say the pricing is a bit on the expensive side, but the texture of the snow and flavors are worth it. Don't be shy and ask for some advice from the baristas(?), they'll take care of you!

Ask the Community - Boba Chew Chew

I have a gift card. Is there an expiration date? Can it still be used after the date?

Yes there IS an expiration date which is one year after the purchase date and it should be written on the front side of the card. It becomes invalid after the expiration…

    What are your drink toppings?

Our current toppings are: Honey Boba and Mini Boba. Mango Jelly, Assorted Jelly, Lychee/Coconut Jelly. Custard pudding, Milk Pudding, Aloe, Crystal Boba, Strawberry Popping Boba, Green Apple Popping Boba, Cheese Foam…

For your milk teas, do you offer soy/oat/almond alternatives?

Thank you for your inquiry. We offer soy/oat milk alternatives only for Matcha Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Dalgona Milk. FYI, besides these three drinks, most of our milk teas are made of non dairy creamer.

Are you planning to add the other flavors' popping boba back to the menu? I really want to have lychee popping boba in lychee black tea.

We just got rid of couple of not "as popular" add-on toppings recently including lychee popping boba because I was advised we have too many topping choices and it was not only overwhelming to some guests but also, we were running out of storage…

Do any of your boba options not use honey? My sister is allergic so we will avoid the honey boba.

Yes. Both of our Regular boba and mini boba are marinated in Honey. There is no other option for Tapioca bobas. However, we do carry other toppings such as Crystal Boba that do not use honey. For other topping options, please refer to pictures…

Is this a good place to do some work?

Hello! While we do provide wifi for our customers, there are limited wall plugs for your laptop or any electric device. The wall plugs are not located in the booth area but are in front of our long bench:)

    Are there vegan options?

Hello! We have tofu curry and veggie curry for vegan options. Most of our drinks are non-dairy as well.

There's a reason Torotea has expanded so much! I'm not the biggest fan of the Diamond Bar location purely because of the line, so I'd recommend trying one of their other locations if you don't want to wait as long. You can also order online on weekdays to avoid the line, but there is a small online fee. Also shoutout to whoever designed their shops because they absolutely killed the boho vibes. Super cute inside and the perfect place to wait for your drink. There isn't much of a seating area to chat given the line and large volume of traffic. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. One positive is the overall aesthetic. I like the layout and the lighting design, and the globe fixtures give the shop a nice modern look. Unfortunately, when you look closer, the fixtures have visible dust and grime buildup. Some of them are high up, so I understand they aren't easy to clean, but this is where an occasional ladder or professional deep cleaning comes in. The shop has good design bones; it just needs more attention to cleaning and maintenance. The music itself is trendy and current, but it is much too loud for a work-friendly coffee shop, especially because the space is very echoey. I'm including a screenshot of the sound level along with a short video so people can get a sense of it for themselves. I found it basically impossible to concentrate without earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. Seating is also limited and isn't very comfortable. It's mostly hard wooden benches and plastic or metal folding-style chairs. Nothing egregious, but not especially comfortable if you're planning to sit and work for a while. What really started the experience off badly for me was my drink. I ordered an iced matcha for $6.75 and asked if they could do less ice. I was told that if I wanted less ice, the drink would be less full. I said never mind and asked for it to just be filled normally. When I received it, though, my matcha still had noticeably less liquid than my husband's drink. Since they only offer one size for each iced drink, the difference was pretty obvious. We also tipped $1. The matcha itself was just your standard iced matcha -- nothing special -- and definitely didn't feel worth $6.75 to me. My husband's $8 Butterscotch Cream Latte actually tasted good, but after he finished it, we were surprised by how much of the cup was taken up by ice. The photo speaks for itself. Given that I had already been told that requesting less ice would result in a less-full drink, this really diminished the value for me. The bathroom was another big negative. I tend to judge the cleanliness of a business by its restroom, and this one did not give me confidence. The bathroom door and several surrounding surfaces looked like they had not been thoroughly wiped down in quite a while, with visible grime and buildup, and there were also holes in the wall. Even the glass entrance doors had visible smudges and residue. I'm including photos because these things were noticeable and contributed to an overall poorly maintained impression. There were no paper towels available. Instead, an old-looking handwritten sign was taped over the dispenser saying, "Please use the air dryer. Thank you!" I personally avoid hand dryers because of hygiene concerns, so after washing my hands I ended up using toilet paper and a toilet-seat cover so I could open the bathroom door without touching the handle directly. At that point, they might as well remove the paper towel dispenser entirely. Leaving an unused dispenser covered by an aged paper sign just looks lazy and poorly maintained to me, especially in a customer-facing bathroom. Aesthetically, I also wasn't a fan of all the taped-up paper signs. The front entrance has a large paper sign taped directly to the glass saying "PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR GENTLY. THANK YOU!!!" along with several other smaller notices, and the bathroom has the aged handwritten sign taped over the unused paper towel dispenser. These are small details individually, but together with the visible grime, holes, and neglected surfaces, they made the shop feel more makeshift and poorly maintained than the otherwise nice design deserves. It clearly seems to be a popular spot, and my husband had far fewer complaints and enjoyed his latte. I also think the overall layout and lighting aesthetic have potential. For me, though, the underfilled matcha, ice-heavy drinks, standard-at-best matcha, loud music, limited seating, uncomfortable chairs, and overall cleanliness and maintenance made this a disappointing first visit.

However, the lovely ambiance at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) is the ONLY reason why the review score is so high. Despite the awful, frugal drinks, this business is a college student's hidden paradise. The location is very clean, calming, and comfortable. There's about 15 tables, and there's about 8 electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; the details are on a small card at the counter. This location also has a self-service water station and a gender neutral restroom. Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) is also decorated lovingly. I appreciated the book aesthetic and the hanging leaves. It's also very quiet inside. The location felt like a well-ventilated, comfy library. If searching for a study spot, this is such an easy recommendation. Overall, I had a mixed experience at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut). The location is a cozy, creative study/work spot, but the tea is very bland, poorly made, and unmemorable. This business screams wasted potential. Currently, Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) is a not bad place. Drink - 1 out of 5 Ambiance - 4.7 out of 5 2.9 out of 5

They were always so friendly. The ambiance was always so nice and spacious. Their pastries were also good as well especially when toasted.

For the pastries, it looked like a lot of the ones I was hoping from browsing online were not available. I ended up getting the biscoff cheesecake. It was on the sweeter side but it was very good. For the drink, I ended up getting the banana latte. Been on a streak of getting that lately so wanted to compare with other stores. I didn't get a lot of banana in the taste. At least it had an espresso shot for the caffeine fix and did not taste like the artificial banana. Nothing special there and stand out. For the interior, they had a few seating they primarily accommodated a few groups of four and two. I was able to grab a bench seat that had an outlet. However, there wasn't enough space for my laptop and the items I ordered. WiFi was available but it had a 90 minute limit. The store had a moderate noise level and stayed busy throughout the time that I was there. The service on the order was quick and they do bring it out to you. The store also has their own house espresso which was a medium dark roast. American Express is accepted as a payment option here. Overall, it was a decent work spot. If I come back, I'd prefer to try another drink and hope other pastries are available. Would recommend the biscoff cheesecake for those that want something sweet and the house coffee beans for those that like medium roasts.
