I like the can cap bottle that the drinks come in. You can't go wrong like poking a hole with a straw and hoping you succeed and not puncturing too big of a hole or too small and having to do it again with drink coming out from the top. Haha it might just be me... That aside. This place has been consistent in flavor and good so far. Definitely worth a try and coming back. read more

We saw the pics on Yelp and wanted to try. This place is very cute and has a cute name as you could tell. Chew Chew like the train sound. They have drink and snack/food menu. We ordered honey jasmine mt, Oreo slush, popcorn chicken and squid balls. The food was good, and I preferred the Oreo slush more than the milk tea. The AC however seemed to be broken when we visited and it was 104 outside, guess that's our bad luck. My only complain is they don't have restroom for customers which I don't understand. If this is a takeout only spot, sure. But if you provide food menu and seatings, shouldn't you consider providing customers at least one restroom? read more

My partner goes to Mt.Sac so we thought to stop by and try Chew Chew since we pass by it all the time. I'm rating them five stars, however I wouldn't drive out of my way to come to this spot specifically . The decor and ladies working the register were very lovely, however the boba I had was pretty undercooked. Maybe it might have been an off day and I wouldn't want to dock them for things they may not have noticed, however my "boba standards" are kinda high and I wouldn't recommend going out of your way. If you're a Mt.SAC or cal poly student that needs a quick boba fix then I would recommend stopping by however. read more

Family owned business, awesome remodel, and classic amazing food and drinks! The remodel looks so amazing and clean. The new drink containers dare I say make it feel like tea from the future if you haven't had a try it's time for a visit!! Uniquely cute boba location. What a a fun spot! It's train station themed and the staff are dressed like cunductors. They even have a sign on the wall that changes just like you would find at a station. The tea was refreshing and the chicken curry was delisious. Food is not great, drinks are OK (but if you are a tea connoisseur then you might not like it. (It has that hot tea poured over ice taste)... This place is by far THE best boba place in socal. From the interior design to the friendly customer service, everything was absolutely perfect. I ordered a signature milk tea with mini boba and milk pudding. This drink was very milky and refreshing! The decorations inside the store are adorable and unlike any other boba place in this area. came here after lunch for a post-lunch pick me up. my bf and i had seen this place on tik tok. ngl on tik tok this place looked a lot bigger. there's only two tiny booths, a long bench with small tables in the middle of the shop, and a small table in the back. definitely not somewhere to hang, catch up with friends, or study. my bf got the matcha cheesecake and i got the peach yogurt green tea. his drink was good but he said the cheesecake flavor seemed to come from a cream that just sat on top of the matcha. i do prefer a stronger matcha flavor as well. the peach yogurt green tea was good but if i were to go back i'd ask for 75% sweetness. the tea was strong but not too bitter in my drink. their boba was cooked to perfection though and their cups are aesthetic. they do have food also and will probably try it at some point. read more

We've been coming here for years. Back then it was Lollicup. I'm glad the drinks and food taste the same with the name change because they have the BEST popcorn chicken/chew chew chicken! My husband and kids will only eat theirs. I've ordered popcorn chicken at other boba joints and they'll try it and ALWAYS say "eh! Boba chew chew's is better". I'm glad they have the option to upgrade to a large. My husband also really loves their fried tofu. He says other places have really large tofu pieces and the "fried" texture is lost so their tofu pieces are the right size for him lol. The new establishment has a really cute theme. Just wish they had more tables/seating options instead of the large bench in the middle. read more

This place is aesthetically pleasing and their drinks are good. So far I've tried the matcha cheesecake, blended oreo, blended jolly rancher, and honeydew milk tea and they're all great. I'd say adjust the sweetness for their blended drinks because I had to wait for it to water down a bit since it was really sweet. I have yet to try their snacks but I'll definitely come back again! read more

Boba Chew Chew was recommended to us by a friend. My daughter is a boba pro so she is always up for trying a new boba place. Boba Chew Chew did not disappoint. The decor is fun and is cleverly themed. The staff is super helpful and customer service oriented. The drinks are served in a VERY cool cup with a sealed soda can top. We loved that! But all of that alone wouldn't compel me to return. The drinks were deeeeeelish! My boba pro daughter stated it was the best milk tea boba she has ever had. My wife had milk tea and said it was the best SHE ever had. I had a peach iced tea and drank most of it before I got out of the parking lot. On many, MANY occasions i've gone to this shop and got some variation of a milk tea and had a good experience. while I get a milk tea, the other people in my group get a fruit tea, specifically lychee and passion fruit. every. single. time. it tastes and smells like sewage. i haven't seen any other reviews notice this, but we've tried the tea months apart and still get the same flavor. sadly i don't go back here because i can't get that out of my mouth or head when i visit. read more

Some of them are high up, so I understand they aren't easy to clean, but this is where an occasional ladder or professional deep cleaning comes in. The shop has good design bones; it just needs more attention to cleaning and maintenance. The music itself is trendy and current, but it is much too loud for a work-friendly coffee shop, especially because the space is very echoey. I'm including a screenshot of the sound level along with a short video so people can get a sense of it for themselves. I found it basically impossible to concentrate without earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. Seating is also limited and isn't very comfortable. It's mostly hard wooden benches and plastic or metal folding-style chairs. Nothing egregious, but not especially comfortable if you're planning to sit and work for a while. What really started the experience off badly for me was my drink. I ordered an iced matcha for $6.75 and asked if they could do less ice. I was told that if I wanted less ice, the drink would be less full. I said never mind and asked for it to just be filled normally. When I received it, though, my matcha still had noticeably less liquid than my husband's drink. Since they only offer one size for each iced drink, the difference was pretty obvious. We also tipped $1. The matcha itself was just your standard iced matcha -- nothing special -- and definitely didn't feel worth $6.75 to me. My husband's $8 Butterscotch Cream Latte actually tasted good, but after he finished it, we were surprised by how much of the cup was taken up by ice. The photo speaks for itself. Given that I had already been told that requesting less ice would result in a less-full drink, this really diminished the value for me. The bathroom was another big negative. I tend to judge the cleanliness of a business by its restroom, and this one did not give me confidence. The bathroom door and several surrounding surfaces looked like they had not been thoroughly wiped down in quite a while, with visible grime and buildup, and there were also holes in the wall. Even the glass entrance doors had visible smudges and residue. I'm including photos because these things were noticeable and contributed to an overall poorly maintained impression. There were no paper towels available. Instead, an old-looking handwritten sign was taped over the dispenser saying, "Please use the air dryer. Thank you!" I personally avoid hand dryers because of hygiene concerns, so after washing my hands I ended up using toilet paper and a toilet-seat cover so I could open the bathroom door without touching the handle directly. At that point, they might as well remove the paper towel dispenser entirely. Leaving an unused dispenser covered by an aged paper sign just looks lazy and poorly maintained to me, especially in a customer-facing bathroom. Aesthetically, I also wasn't a fan of all the taped-up paper signs. The front entrance has a large paper sign taped directly to the glass saying "PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR GENTLY. THANK YOU!!!" along with several other smaller notices, and the bathroom has the aged handwritten sign taped over the unused paper towel dispenser. These are small details individually, but together with the visible grime, holes, and neglected surfaces, they made the shop feel more makeshift and poorly maintained than the otherwise nice design deserves. It clearly seems to be a popular spot, and my husband had far fewer complaints and enjoyed his latte. I also think the overall layout and lighting aesthetic have potential. For me, though, the underfilled matcha, ice-heavy drinks, standard-at-best matcha, loud music, limited seating, uncomfortable chairs, and overall cleanliness and maintenance made this a disappointing first visit.

There's also customer internet with password; the details are on a small card at the counter. This location also has a self-service water station and a gender neutral restroom. Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) is also decorated lovingly. I appreciated the book aesthetic and the hanging leaves. It's also very quiet inside. The location felt like a well-ventilated, comfy library. If searching for a study spot, this is such an easy recommendation. Overall, I had a mixed experience at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut). The location is a cozy, creative study/work spot, but the tea is very bland, poorly made, and unmemorable. This business screams wasted potential. I recently visited a boba shop in Walnut, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered four drinks, but none of them were good. The boba itself was hard--not the fresh, chewy texture you'd expect--and the tea lacked any real tea flavor. To make matters worse, I came in just 30 minutes after they opened, so the boba should have been fresh, but it clearly wasn't. The service was also underwhelming. The lady working there seemed uninterested and unfriendly, as if she'd woken up on the wrong side of the bed. I will not be visiting this place again. Do not waste your money here! read more

This is a super cute place ! The staff are friendly and nice and they'll answer any questions you got about the drinks and about the place. It's really convenient since it's right across from school and that the drinks are amazing !! The interior is adorable and clean in addition to that the bottles are to die for !!! The drink I ordered is served in a BMC Pho cup. It's very inconsistent too because I ordered the strawberry raspberry mojito. It's basically strawberry color and bits of raspberry with Sprite. That's the spritzer part and a few basil leaves. Maybe it's mint but cannot be sure. Another person ordered the mango pineapple mojito. Mine has a drink lid like you get at burger joints for soda fountain drinks. The other person got it in one of those boba right sealed cups. That thing is going to pop once you pierce it with the straw. My last remaining question is why did someone create a separate listing just for this?
