Been here a couple times so far, once before covid and once today. Verdict: I'm a fan! It's a little out of the way for me, but I think I'll add it to the list of boba places I like. Service was excellent both times I was here. They also sell super cute merch on the side. In terms of drinks, so far, I've tried their hot oolong milk tea, mochi muffins, and matcha latte with strawberry. The mochi cake I believe comes from an outside source (pretty sure I had the same one at a market in SF), but it's decent. All the drinks are pretty solid, and the boba is good. One thing to note: aside from the wintermelon tea, which uses a syrup, all of their fruit teas are made using housemade fruit purée. I thought that was pretty interesting and a nice touch. The matcha latte with strawberry purée is a little different from Boba Guys'. You can't adjust the ice level, but you can change the milk and sweetness - I got mine with Califia oat milk and at half sweetness. It definitely was half-sweet, which was nice. The matcha is a little more bitter and the strawberry purée a little less chunky than Boba Guys'. I do like BG's purée better, but it was nice to get a pretty comparable drink from a place that wasn't as crowded or potentially overhyped as Boba Guys. My dad got a lychee tea at 0% sweetness and did say the purée was still too sweet for him. I think I'll definitely come back in the future to try out some other things! read more

The place is so nice as well, but during this time (pandemic), they only offer take out for the customers. We also love how friendly the employees here, and how clean is the place too. Very good taste of oolong tea but they put very small amount of boba in their drinks, which makes you feel your boba only at the beginning. However, very nice people work there, they keep facility clean and good looking, they are also only Boba place that pick up their phone and told me that they work on Presidents' Day. I have no idea why I haven't been to this place until now. This is definitely a solid spot for boba, tea, and drinks in general. I had the bee-long, which was milk tea with honey and added boba, and it for sure hit different. First sip and you get a huge gush of pure honey along with the milk tea. If you have a sweet tooth, then this is definitely the drink for you. I had a 75% sweetness level which was the recommended level, and it felt like it was 100%. However, this purely due to the honey added in and quite frankly, it added the perfect touch to the drink. You get little bursts of honey in every sip and the drink hits different every time. I also had the black sesame hoji milk tea and that was bomb as well. You definitely get that mini grainy texture from the sesame in the for sure, but it doesn't deter from the overall drink itself. read more

Matcha Latte with strawberry! Loved it! I personally like it more than other boba spots. It wasn't too sweet or too strong. There was plenty of indoor seating and we were lucky that there wasn't a line going out the door on a Saturday. No donuts though...they said that they haven't had them for a while. We tried this new boba place for the first time last week. This cute little place with a lot of cute decor. We ordered their brown sugar milk tea with boba and their Matcha Latte with Strawberry Puree. The brown sugar milk tea was on point and we really enjoyed it. The Matcha Latte was not our cup of tea. This place has been on my radar for a while now, and I'm so glad I tried it. It is located in a plaza, and it is a cute little shop. The interior decor is sweet but simple. They also sell mochi donuts here in addition to boba. I've only gotten one thing here and that is the strawberry matcha with oat milk and boba. It's so good, and I cannot stray away from it. I'll eventually try their brown sugar, but this is my favorite for now. I like it because the flavors of the strawberry matcha are not overwhelming each other, but they compliment each other well. You get a good mixture of the tartness from the matcha and the sweetness from the strawberry. It is just right. Plus, I love the texture of their boba! It's chewy without being too soft. Service here is good. The workers here are helpful and great when it comes to asking for suggestions. I would say this place is a bit pricier than most places for boba, but it is worth it. The mochi donuts are good too and I believe they are from Third Culture, but I could be wrong about that. I really enjoy coming here. read more

Probably 3.5 stars. PARKING: It's located in a plaza/shopping area with apartments on top and I haven't had any trouble finding parking in the lot. ATMOSPHERE: There is so much space here! They have a lot of tables for people to sit down and do work or chill. They also have a ton of board games (and not just lame ones) such as sushi go, love letter, the ramen game, splendor etc. so if you want to bring a group to hang out, this is a great spot. That is part of the appeal since there is plenty of space and games to hang out with. FOOD: They have a pretty extensive list of options so I think you can find something for everyone. They have oat milk as an option if you don't like regular or almond milk. However, keep in mind for the brown sugar boba drink they can't make it with an alternative milk. Their cold iced drink, which costs $4.75 is 24 oz. so you're getting a pretty good "deal" but the quality of the tea is only 3 stars worth. ROASTED OOLONG - my go to drink, I would recommend 50% sweetness if you get 50% from boba guys or 75% from some other places that don't make it that sweet. I got 75% the first time and all I could taste was sweetness. Their roasted oolong isn't bad but it's not great. It lacks tea flavor and that really woodsy taste. I would rather get Black Sugar or if I'm in the area, TP Tea or Teaspoon for Roasted Oolong. BOBA - their boba is on the harder side, but it doesn't have that bounce/chew to it. It's almost a little too gelatinous or like it's been sitting out too long. Don't get me wrong, I prefer harder boba over too soft boba but I wish it had more chew and bounce to it. Also, I think they use honey or something for the boba, which is a bit too strong of a flavor for the boba. It overpowered the drink a bit. I was really impressed with the boba here! Their drinks have a strong tea flavor and their boba was the perfect chewy texture. They followed strict social distancing inside the store with tapes on the floor to follow and they had masks on and hand sanitizer! My brother got the Lychee Refresher and he really liked the cucumber bits in the drink. I got the Bee-Long and loved how creamy and strong the oolong taste was. Advice: I always love my drinks to be super sweet, so I got 100% sweet. Surprisingly, their drinks were quite sweet for me (sometimes 100% at other shops aren't sweet enough for me ) so if you like you drinks to be less sweet, I'd definitely reduce sugar level. read more

I was in the vicinity looking for boba, and this place popped up on my yelp. Their mochi donut pictures definitely captivated me, as I've only had the delicious mochi donut in Japan. I ordered the genmaicha milk tea, with regular sweetness, and the matcha mochi donut. Genmaicha milk tea was a tad too milky, could barely taste the tea. Sweet level was to my liking. The workers were friendly, and the seating area is very nice, and mellow- it's a good place to drink and talk, or study. The brown sugar boba was so sweet, of course I know its meant to be sweet, but this amount of sweetness made me get light headed, and I didn't enjoy it. If I were to get it again, I would ask for 25% sweet, rather than regular/default. Their taro milk tea was good, and tasted very natural. Now their matcha latte, was amazing, it was my favorite one that I tried. Latest newcomer and welcomed addition to the Matcha/Boba/Premium Tea craze. They are going through their soft opening and are working out the kinks. 1) Strawberry Matcha - aka Strawberry Matcha Latte (Boba Guys, Mints & Honey, etc.). It is right up there with the established folks. Their boba is a bit denser/chewier than that of Boba Guys. So choosing between the two will come down to your boba preference. 2) Pastries - They serve items from Third Culture Bakery just like Boba Guys. While BG offers 4 types of mochi custard cakes, these guys offer 5 types of the cakes AND donuts. Mochi donuts! The Coconut/Ube version was delicious and dense. 3) Marketing - They really should have their logo on their cups via a sticker, etc. 4) Kitchen Window - It's a bit large/expansive and shows too much. It can be distracting, especially if it starts to get messy and disorganized. We will definitely be back! read more

I stopped by here after a visit to Grocery Outlet which is in the same shopping center. The interior is super cute and looked like it was a great place to hang out pre-pandemic. The tables now are pushed to the edges and the floor is marked with social distancing signs. There is hand sanitizer for customers as well as contactless payment. Their menu was expansive and also offered dairy-alternative/non-dairy milks as well. A plus for vegans and lactose interolants! What drew me to visit was their Taro Milk. This is my mom's drink as she doesn't usually take tea so this drink is sometimes hard to find at other boba shops. I ordered hers with 0% sweetness. It was perfect for her. For myself, I ordered the strawberry matcha latte, 25% sweetness and topped with boba and coffee jelly. This was well-made and had just the perfect amount of sweetness. The matcha flavor was just right. I appreciate the friendly service here and stop in whenever I go to that grocery outlet. read more

I picked up Boba Drive for myself and a couple friends after having lunch nearby. They have online ordering, and they send text updates when your order has been confirmed and is ready for pickup. In-store, they sell some cute merch, including tshirts, stickers, and coasters. I got the artisan tea, and I got the roasted oolong base 75% sweet, with less ice and boba. My drink was average. I did enjoy the sweetness of the boba, but it was a bit hard. The drink itself was good. My friend who got the Watermelon Oat enjoyed it and said it was refreshing. I got my other friend a Bee-Long with boba and almond pudding. The order was missing the boba, and when I asked about it, the worker added it in. Unfortunately, he had to pour some of the drink out which ended up being the salted crema, so he lost that part of the drink. I think I'd come back if I were in the plaza already to try their other specialty drinks, but otherwise, it's not my favorite boba destination. read more

I was looking for a new boba place to try, and the fact that my friends and I were craving for boba as it was really really hot this weekend. Let me tell you this, this place is really really amazing! My friends and I enjoyed our milk tea here for the first time. The location of this boba store has plenty of parking space, and staff is amazing when it comes to following protocols during the pandemic. I ordered Bee-Long with 25% sugar, and it still a bit sweet for that range, which was okay in my opinion. In addition to their drinks, one of their cashier who helped us that appears to have blonde hair (we forgot to ask his name) was accommodating and friendly as he delivered excellent customer service. Will definitely come back as it's closer to my house! I do not recall them offering snacks, but I hope they do someday such as fries, popcorn chicken, etc. By the way, this place appears to have cellphone reception issues. Great mochi pastries and boba. Their matcha series is awesome. I like mine with oat milk since I'm lactose intolerant. Hojicha, roasted oolong and house black are great as well. The honey boba and grass jelly are great toppings, as well as all their puddings. I also like crystal boba (which is actually kinda like ball shaped jelly, not chewy boba). They also have decaf tea drink which is great for kids and caffeine sensitive people. The decaf combined with fast wifi is great for working here in the evening. read more

We really enjoyed our boba drinks here today. We wanted to try someplace different, and since we had to stop by the SMaRT station to drop off some recycling this was a logical place to visit. We were surprised by how busy the place was on a non-workday, given that this particular retail/residential complex is pretty far from the rest of the commercial parts of Sunnyvale, so you'd have to specifically make an effort to come here - unless, of course, you live in the apartment complex above or in the sea of townhomes and condos nearby. Perhaps that's where everyone was from. But I digress. We were pleased to see a fairly simple menu without an excessive number of offerings. Sometimes places like these suffer from providing too many options, and it's hard for them to really get them all right. We chose the Assam tea, the lychee green tea, the milk trifecta, and the Thai tea, all cold. All of them were very good. They were prepared with the sweetness level that we requested, and the boba were sweet and chewy and not overcooked. Overall really well done, and I think we've got a new favorite boba place in town. read more

Great boba and tasty pastries! I'm a regular customer at Boba Drive, and I usually stick to classic drinks, so my go-to drink is the roasted oolong milk tea with boba, 75% sweet, regular ice. They are pretty consistent with their drinks for the most part. They just rolled out a new menu, so be sure to check out some of their new specialty drinks! I have also tried most of the pastries which they get from Third Culture Bakery in Berkeley. My favorite is the mango passion mochi donut because it has cacao nibs sprinkled on top. The environment is also very spacious, so it's a nice place to get some work done, especially during non-peak times. However, cellular service is spotty inside for me, so I find myself having to connect to their wi-fi. The owners are friendly, the service is fast, and I like how they sometimes bring out the drinks to you personally instead of just calling your name up front. Highly recommended! read more

It's very frustrating. They have Salted Crema listed as milk substitute/topping but they don't actually let you have that for like half of the menu. And they won't say why. Honestly this is my friend's go to place so he often picks me up something and every time they won't let me have salted crema on whatever I've ordered. Can't have it on the Hong Kong MT, Thai, Vietnamese coffee and many others. So, for me, all of them tasted watered down. In general I find most things on the menu to be that way. The salted Crema here is some of the best I've had, but they only let you have it on the fraction of their menu that I'm not interested in. Frustrating. read more

I'm not a big boba person but I've definitely come to like this place. I used to love getting their baked goods from third culture bakery but unfortunately it's not available these days. I recently got the ice boricha with aloe and crystal boba. Not my favorite, haha. I don't really recommend it unless you are looking for a healthy option. We had been at the Santa Clara convention center for a volleyball tournament all day and the girls wanted boba. Actually they want boba ALL THE TIME, and they're always in search of something new. This was conveniently located not too far from Levi's stadium, Great America, and SCCC in a strip mall with a few other restaurants and a Grocery Outlet. Funny enough a friend of ours lives very close to this place and after I posted it to IG, she said they were at the burger spot a few doors down around the same time. The flavor alone had me, mango passion fruit and ube coconut, WOW! They were too steep in price for me though, $4 each, so I passed. Gave Boba Drive two tries. First time: Jasmine milk tea regular sweetness with egg pudding, very watered down no flavor. I could literally make it better myself at home brewing my own tea. Second time: Jasmine milk tea hot, only size they offer is equivalent of a tall(small) at Starbucks. I'm so glad that I found this spot over the weekend! It's a super cute shop with a huge space. I can't wait for COVID to end so we can all enjoy sitting in cafes again. It looked like they had a bookcase with games saved. I appreciated the tea flavors. They had my two favorite teas: genmaicha and hojicha. And they had oat milk!! I know it's becoming more and more common to be able to select different dairy options but I don't know if it's just me but since covid started, I've been seeing less places offer it. So I really appreciated it! The boba consistency and sweetness was perfect! I feel like it's often hard to find a reliable boba now a days but this one was excellent.
