This boba spot was very meh. We ordered the Hong Kong milk tea with grass jelly and matcha latte. The Hong Kong milk tea, even at 50% sweet, was sickeningly sweet without much tea flavor and just a strong taste of the condensed milk. The matcha latte was a murky greenish brown color, and was extremely chalky as if the matcha hadn't been dissolved properly. The drinks weren't good and we couldn't finish them. We won't be back any time soon. Simple and clean interior with free wifi. This looks like it could be a good spot to potentially work from or meet a friend since it has a lot of seating. Service was simply two people running it while we were there - one at the cashier and one person in the back making drinks. We wanted to ask for a drink tray since we ordered 3 drinks but the cashier person had quickly already gone to the back right after handing us the drinks...

The drinks were so bad that we almost wanted to "return" them to the counter. Brown sugar milk - the boba was so hard to chew, it's either not fresh or undercooked. Mongo milk has artificial mango flavor, taste awful. There's some board games but mostly missing pieces or too old too dirty.

This is a super cute spot! I went in the afternoon and it was not busy at all. You could go here and have a boba attend a few meetings and have a good time. Decided to get viet coffee as recommended by the staff there, i got zero added sugar as viet coffee comes with condensed milk. It was perfectly sweet enough for me and so refreshing. Will visit again.

I decided to come by to use a $5 off code I was sent for my birthday- if you sign up for their rewards alerts with their Square site and provide your birthday, you might be able to get promos like this too. I ordered ahead on the website for a hojicha, cold, with regular milk, 25% sugar, no ice, and a bee-long, cold, less ice, 50% sweet. Generally, it costs an additional $1 to get the drink as cold/chilled rather than hot. The drinks are a decent size, but they are rather pricey (around $6-7 for most of the drinks, cold version). The order confirmation said I would get texted updates, but I did not receive any texts, so I just came after the requested pickup time and the order was ready. In the store, there's AC, free wifi, ample seating, and a single stall restroom in decently clean condition. I felt the hojicha was quite good, I'm glad I dialed down the sweetness since that allows you to really taste the nutty flavor of the hojicha. As for the beelong, I found it underwhelming; I could taste the honey strongly, but since oolong itself tends to be a milder tea, I felt the honey and milk really overpowered the oolong. I wish the oolong had been brewed to be extra strong so that it would be easier to taste it, or that they had offered a version of this drink that uses a stronger-tasting tea.

Cute interior with lots of seating space, games, and merchandise: I did the build your own boba with Jasmine, Boba, and Whole Milk (Strauss) and it came out to be $7.50, pretty pricey but the Jasmine flavor came through. Service was fast!

Are there a million boba places around the Bay? Yes. Does Boba Drive stand out? Absolutely! Boba Drive is one of my favorite spots, and I'm surprised I haven't written a review until now. The customer service, ambiance, quality of tea, and boba are all top-notch. I could go on and on about this place! With plenty of seating, it's a great place to catch up with loved ones while enjoying the board games they offer. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

My husband, daughter, & I went to this location for the first time and it didn't disappoint. We ordered 3 drinks and got several Boba Drive stickers. The inside was clean and very cozy. Didn't get to catch the girl at the front counter name. But she was very welcoming and took care of our order quickly. It wasn't very busy since it was later in the evening so we got our drinks pretty fast. Can't wait to come back again another time.

I came here again since I was in the area and it wasn't what I remembered it to be. I got the jasmine milk tea with agar boba, 50% sweetness but oh boy was that thing sweet. It felt like 100% sweetness for all of my groups drinks and it was very inedible if you didn't have a bitter drink to begin with. The workers were very nice though and remade my drink to 25% which was still pretty sweet in my opinion but a lot better. Really liked the hospitality of the workers for making things right but I honestly don't know if I'll be back again bc of how sweet the drinks were.

I had a pleasant experience here! This space is cute but not overly decorated, which is what I prefer. They even have cool stickers and boba-themed coasters for sale. They also have a shelf with some board games, which suggests that they welcome customers to hang for a bit. My drink was made promptly and tasted good. I appreciate that Boba Drive is spacious and clean with ample tables, which made it a good place to study/get work done. Music wasn't too loud. Their AC was quite strong in certain spots but this would probably be a good thing on a hot day. I stayed for three hours on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded since most people were there to pick up drink orders.

Went at lunch. Clean inside and not too busy. There are lots of drinks from which to select. I got the green tea passion tea. I asked for normal ice and 50% sweetness. It has good flavor, but a bit too sweet for me. I'll do 25% neit time.

Lychee Refresher on the left and black sesame hoji on the right.

The standards for boba stores have soared because there are so many of them out there. Unless you differentiate, I think then you're kind of stuck being mediocre and irrelevant n the boba game. My writing may be skewed as I've been to way too many boba shops before Boba Drive, so please keep the that in mind. The menu for Boba Drive seems unique enough. But upon closer review, it really just feels like the combination of these drink options you could find at other boba locations. I guess what I'm trying to say is that other than the the Hong Kong MT, Bee-Long, and Watermelon Oat, the drinks menu becomes a repeat of what you see elsewhere--which isn't a bad thing! But nothing is differentiating Boba Drive from the dozens of other boba shops scattered about the Bay Area. My wife ordered the Hoji, it was okay. At 100% sweetness, it was too sweet and that sweetness over powered any taste or flavor of black sesame. I mean, the black sesame was there, but it was just too sweet. I got the Lychee Refresher with 0 sweet. I knew it would have some residual sweetness from the syrup and fruit, but it was very sweet where I felt like it was closer to 50% sweet. The lychee flavor was there, but it felt like an artificially sweet lychee flavor. I asked about their mochi donuts and muffins and they don't sell them anymore. They haven't for about a year. I actually visited Boba Drive on the presumption that they still did (via pictures from Yelp). That was a big disappointing. The service was nice and pleasant--quick. And the layout of the store was very open and airy.

I give this place a 3.5 but I usually round up so it gets a four rating. The place is usually quiet when I go in. It is located in the same area of Peggy Sue's, Grocery Outlet, and few more places. I was craving an ice drink and this was just okay. I asked for extra ice and didn't really get it. I wanted an ice cold drink. I asked the cashier what they would recommend and they mentioned the matcha latte with oat milk if I liked matcha and oat milk which I like both. It wasn't a wow factor for me or something I would consider ordering again. It was definitely different.

    Cute merch!

This time I decided to stop by here after dinner, my first time sitting down here and ordering. The inside is very clean, modern, and Pinterest-like. They added more decorations and seating from 2 years ago, making the inside more aesthetic. whaT's More always has unique Asian flavors, like durian, earl grey, pandan, red bean, and oolong. The cakes are not too sweet, so definitely Asian parent approved haha! Unfortunately, when we came around 6:30pm, they were sold out of most flavors - so would definitely recommend coming earlier or just ordering online earlier in the morning for pickup. We got the sesame dark chocolate crepe cake. When you eat in the store, the owner provides you with free cups of tea, which are really great for washing down the cake. The chocolate was super rich, and they did not skimp out on the flavor - super chocolatey. The sesame added such a fun earthy and nutty flavor - I thoroughly enjoyed it! The cake is on the slightly denser side, so was super filling. While on the pricier side, the flavors are super unique and the craft that goes into crepe cakes is commendable. I will be ordering my next cake from here again!

The place was situated in a quiet plaza just outside of Lawrence Expressway. There's ample parking but it doesn't feel like the location is suitable for a cafe where you can picture sitting inside looking through some big windows facing a busy pedestrian walkway. However, once I stepped inside, I was surprised at how zen and peaceful the decorations were and how fitting it was for a cozy and quiet cafe hangout. The cake shelf was surprisingly busy. And this is where I took one star out because the lines were confusing and the staff skipped me to talk to the group behind me while I was clearly the next to be helped. Luckily another staff member came out from the back kitchen and jumped in to help. The staff spoke fluent mandarin. I was interested in their box cakes. A few of the yelpers raved about their soy milk cake and luckily they had one out for sampling. It was covered with lots of cream and the cake layer was soft and moist, but it was still slightly too sweet for me and I felt that it lacked the tofu kind of soy flavor. Then, I spotted on their menu that they have a black sesame matcha box cake, and black sesame is always my favorite, so I asked for it. They had the last one left! The staff said she had never tried it so she couldn't tell me if it is less sweet than the soy milk cake. Since it was the last one available and I already sampled the soy cake, I decided to give it a try. I am happy that I did. The cake was filled with matcha mousse and tasted light and aromatic with the jasmine kind of matcha flavor. It is definitely less sweet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much black sesame as I'd like. But overall, the cake flavor is the kind that I like, subtle, moist, and not too sweet. $38 for a box cake of 4x4 is a bit pricey, but I'm glad that I gave it a try. The cakes were freshly made and tasted best the same day of purchase. They also recommend refrigerating the cake and consuming it within a day or two.

Sulbing is a Korean dessert café best known for bingsu, a shaved ice dessert made with an…read moreincredibly fine texture that feels closer to snow than traditional shaved ice. We walked into a clean, modern space with a casual café feel that works well for stopping by after a meal or meeting up with friends for something sweet. The shop focuses on creative variations of bingsu with toppings ranging from fruit to chocolate, matcha, and other dessert-inspired flavors, and the layout encourages lingering over a shared dessert rather than rushing through a quick stop. The biggest highlight is the texture of the shaved ice itself. The ice is extremely soft and light, melting quickly while still holding the flavors from the toppings and condensed milk. We ordered the Injeolmi Sulbing, which showcases the more traditional side with nutty flavors, and the combination of the fine ice, chewy rice cake, and nutty powder created a dessert that felt both refreshing and satisfying. The Tiramisu and Chocolate Brownie Sulbing turn it into a much more indulgent experience, with richer flavors that feel closer to a full dessert than a light treat. The presentation is impressive, with each bowl arriving looking carefully composed, and the layers of toppings are distributed well enough that you get a good mix in every spoonful. The portions are also a major part of the appeal. A single bingsu is easily shareable, making it a good choice for groups or anyone looking for a dessert to split after a meal. We found that sharing worked well, as the portion was generous enough to satisfy two people without feeling like we were missing out. Beyond bingsu, they also offer items like toast and other sweet treats, which give the menu more variety and make it a place you can visit even if you are not in the mood for shaved ice. The main thing to keep in mind is that the experience depends heavily on the flavor you choose. Some versions rely more on the toppings for their flavor, while others feel more balanced throughout. The presentation is impressive, but certain options may feel less satisfying if you expect every bite to have the same intensity as the first. The fruit-based versions, for example, rely on the freshness of the fruit to carry the dessert, while the chocolate and tiramisu versions have a more consistent richness from the base itself. Sulbing is a great spot for trying Korean-style shaved ice. The unique texture, large portions, and variety of flavors make it stand out from typical dessert shops, especially if you enjoy lighter desserts with creative toppings. The balance of refreshing and indulgent options across the menu gives you room to explore different styles on repeat visits, and the quality of the ingredients makes each bowl feel considered and well composed.
