Conveniently located next to Dumpling Hours, Boba Studio is the latest bubble tea shop to hit downtown Walnut Creek. My friends and I came here after having dinner nearby on 05/15/2023. We walked in 20 minutes before closing and were greeted immediately by the owner, a very polite and friendly lady. The interior was cozy and impeccably clean. There were a couple attractive backdrops for those who like to take "Instagramable" photos. One of my friends had some questions about their offerings and the owner was very patient in answering them. She even provided some free pearl samples to her. I thought that was very nice of her to do that. We ended up ordering a couple drinks - a Brown Sugar Boba Black Tea Latte and a Mango Milk Bar. Both were beautiful and delicious. Prices were on point with other shops in the area. The owner was also very nice for allowing us to hang out after closing time. Friendly service, delicious drinks, and comfortable environment - what more can you ask for? They are a great addition to downtown Walnut Creek. Pretty solid for Walnut Creek. Boba Studio is in the middle of downtown, conveniently near other eateries so you can grab a treat before your meal. I've actually been here a few times already, but each time their quality has been better and better. We were here on a Saturday evening and experienced very little wait. Clean, tidy interior with plenty of seating. Two kiosks are available to take orders. Our drinks were out within 5 mins :-) MANGO WITH YOGURT CREAM FOAM (30% sugar w/boba): I was hoping for mango chunks and a tea! This is more of a mango smoothie with a tart cream on top. Kind of hard to drink the cream with the thick smoothie (it's THICCCCCC) so I ended up just mixing everything together. The yogurt cream isn't my favorite. That being said, their boba is cooked and sweetened well, perfectly chewy and ladled generously. Staff are friendly and courteous. Our students had lots of questions and they had lots of answers for them. Our experience was fabulous! The crew was so patient and our experience was top notch. Everyone enjoyed their delicious drinks. They ordered the Brown Sugar Boba, Creme Brulee Boba Latte, Oreo Cookie Puff, Tropical Fruit Tea among other boba drinks. Saw this boba shop when I was in Walnut Creek and decided to give this a place a try as well. Strawberry Matcha Latte: This was the only drink that I found appealing for me to try. I have had other places make a similar style to this, so I was looking forward to comparing it to others. My verdict is that it is not a bad drink. It tasted great and refreshing, with the matcha coming out rather strong. The strawberry puree was nice and balanced the drink for me. The boba itself was standard. We decided to check out Boba Studio this past weekend since we were in the area, craving boba, and I'm always looking for a solid boba spot. Boba Studio is in the busy retail area of downtown Walnut Creek, and despite their busy location, the self checkout machines and service were great! Our drinks came out much faster than expected based on how many customers they had, great job! I think it's helpful that customers can come in and order what they want on the machines which allows the employees to focus solely on cranking out excellent drinks. It's a cute little shop with lots of seating. We ordered the Rose Peach drink and a matcha brown sugar boba latte. Both were great and the boba itself was flavorful and bouncy. There's a good amount of seating but it can get filled up when they're busy. The inside is very modern and well decorated. I love the art on the walls! I came to Boba Studio during their Grand Opening weekend. The store, right next to Dumpling Hours, was beautifully decorated and accrued a great number of people, especially for the size of their store. The staff was extremely friendly, but the layout of their menu made it easy to navigate and figure out what I wanted. I ended up getting their Brown Sugar Black Tea Latte with Oat Milk. After placing the order through their online system (online system was the same listed prices as their menu), I noticed that it was one of the suggested items, as noted by their Boba tower. I sat and waited for my order in one of the chairs/tables. Along the wall, they had several (4, I believe) tables with 2-seaters at each of them. Larger party can sit at the 4-6 person table closer to the door. I would say that the price is similar to most other Boba places within the Walnut Creek/downtown area. I appreciated, however; that their app had no additional service fees and that Oat and Soy Milk were customizable for no additional costs. They also had adjustments for ice and sugar, similar to most places. I don't think I've found my drink yet, but I would give the boba a solid 4 stars. Pearls were squishy. The drink was definitely not as sweet as I expected. The brown sugar also dissolved immediately, which I found interesting. read more

Solid new boba spot in Walnut Creek. I heard they were open prior to their 4/14 opening date, but when I went then, they had a sign saying that they are closed. Ah well... I came back after 4/14 and tried the following drinks - Oolong tea latte - choice between regular whole milk and oat milk. Toppings were limited - no grass jelly (my fave with oolong milk teas), so I tried their honey boba. Pretty good, but wished there was a bit more tea flavor. Regular milk tea with lychee jelly - my son's fave combo. It was their black tea latte and he added lychee jelly to it. No complaints there and he finished it all so I'm guessing it was pretty good. Crème brûlée drink - comes in the smaller size, and comes with a spork in case you want to eat the top brûlée layer with that. Really delicious. Also choice between of whole milk and oat milk when we ordered as well. Sweet drink, but definitely a nice treat. Thai tea - Thai tea latte with strawberry popping boba. Ugh, no clue why my daughter likes these popping pearls with her Thai tea, but that's what she got. She thought it was just alright. She actually got it again when we went back a couple days after, but she complained that something tasted odd. Was their half and half bad or something?? No idea... Peach oolong - added some agar boba, and it was a refreshing drink. Subtle peach flavors and peach bits in there. Yum! Brown sugar boba - whatever their brown sugar milk tea with pearls is called. The husband tried this one and I think he enjoyed it. We went a couple days after and there was an option to choose soy milk then so he got that. Order in person, online, or on the screen at the store. Simple, which was nice. They also have matcha lattes, such as strawberry matcha and mango matcha. Their menu reminds me a lot of one of our fave spots in Dublin (Boba Bliss) for boba. Pretty good, other than the Thai tea mishap where not sure what went wrong there. My daughter always finishes Thai tea, but that one where she said something tasted wrong didn't sound good. Luckily she didn't get sick that evening or the day after! The person that worked there was friendly, handing us the drinks after they were made. A pretty good boba place in the Walnut Creek downtown area. The interior of this boba place has a nice relaxing vibe to it & has a beautiful wall decor, from their boba mural, to the grassy wall background which seems to be great for taking Instagramy photos. There's also additional seating near the kitchen area. While waiting for my drink I got a cup of ice water from their self service water dispenser. For some unknown reason the water I drank had a sweet flavoring to it, I found this unusual. I was politely welcomed by the cashier, I place my order through the kiosk. There is a variety of drinks here & since it was a nice warm day I decided to get one of their fruit teas, the drink I ordered was the Organic green tea with passion fruit. When the cashier called out my order she was so sweet and delivered it to the table I was sitting at, instead of me picking it up at the counter. As for my drink, I got the organic green tea with passion fruit with 100% sweetness & less ice. At first the drink was pretty good & definitely taste the green tea & passion fruit. I really like how this place adds passion fruit seeds in their drink. One critique I have is that I wish they they added more sugar/syrup into the drink, as I got 100% sweetness & it did not taste that sweet. I'm excited for a new boba place! I saw this store pop up on door dash and had to give it a try. I've ordered from here a few times now, so it's pretty good. I wouldn't say it was the best milk tea I've ever had but it's different enough from the other boba shops. For instance, they have yogurt foam instead of cheese foam. I wasn't too sure about the yogurt taste, but it was pretty good! My only real complaint is that the lid cover doesn't actually stay in the little slot while your drinking. Since this shop is located in downtown Walnut Creek, it's a little hard to find parking. It doesn't have its own parking space, so either factor in some time to find street parking or park in one of WC's parking garages. Mind your step when you go inside! There's a weird upward slope leading to the cashier. Service was ok. When I went in, no one was at the counter, but a woman greeted me from one of the tables and was on her phone. I got the sense that she might have been the owner and was covering during a break. The establishment looked pretty clean. Limited seating. I would come here to pick up boba, not hangout. read more

Had this bookmarked and I was in the area to check it out. Ordered inside in at the kiosk..easy. Ordered the hojicha milk tea with boba. While waiting I did notice steam from the kitchen and it smelled like boba, so assumed they were freshly making boba. After a few minutes,I got my drink and it was awesome. The boba was warm and so yum, so my assumption was right. Love a warm boba. Drink had a strong tea flavor which I like. Delicious drinks with strong tea. My only complaint is that they need to be more organized when they are taking orders. Theres an iPad and a cashier sometimes. But only a single line from the door. I think it'd be better if there were two iPads and two lines. While the cashier focuses on just making drinks instead of going between the kitchen and the front end. I got the oolong milk tea while my companion got a strawberry yogurt drink. The oolong tea was strong, which I like. Whatever water they used to brew it gives it a weird aftertaste though. The strawberry yogurt drink was good. Though the tapioca that was suggested on top was double the price of the honey boba in my oolong tea for some reason. $1.60 was the most I've ever paid for tapioca even in the bay area. The two drinks cost $18+ each. $9 per drink is expensive even for California standards. At least the drinks were tasty. read more

I just had lunch next door and needed a drink for the ride home. It was a short ride home but who doesn't want a fun little drink with them! I went with the Tropical Fruit Tea and it was delicious! I really enjoyed the chunks of pineapple in the bottom! Normally when I oder tea they are really sweet! But not here! I went with 80% sweetness and it was just right for me! A little sweet but not to much to take away from the tartness of the tea! This boba spot was such a good choice after the dumpling dinner my friends and I had right next door. We all got different flavors of the yogurt drink with cream, which were blended with tea. They were all great, and the assorted berries flavor tasted like a true mix of berries which was nice because most of the time I find that flavor to be heavily blueberry. Saw this place had a line and wanted to try it out since it must be popular for a reason. There is only one kiosk to order from so it can get a little crowded but I also saw you can order online. I opted for the strawberry green tea delight since there was a poster about it and it was refreshing. I got the lowest sugar and I love that they use fresh strawberry purée and you can really taste the tea flavor. I definitely want to try the tropical fruit tea next time since it looked so good. I finally got to try out one of Walnut Creek's new boba places! The entry way is pretty small, but it's a cute little study/work environment. Definitely aesthetically pleasing with the interior design and boba light. I liked how there's an order kiosk and a cashier in case you have any questions. Can I give 10 stars? Please? Boba Studio serves the best boba I've ever had. No joke, we stopped in every day we were in town. I ordered a peach oolong with 0% sweetness, no boba, and low ice and it was incredibly refreshing. Because of the fruit it comes with, there's really no need for extra sweetness, and the entire drink itself was made perfectly! Although it does take them about 5-7 minutes to make your drink depending on how busy they are, you won't be disappointed and we will absolutely be returning next time we're in town! read more

I was meeting a friend in a Walnut Creek, so we decided to try out the recently opened Boba Studio after dinner. We were immediately greeted by the owner upon entering, and we placed our order at the self-service kiosk near the register.
