What it does lack, however, is a standalone boba shop. While Asahi is, first and foremost, a poke restaurant, it does offer a selection of boba teas and slushies. The weather had just turned from dreary cold to summery hot, so I was craving my favorite Asian drink. After some hand-wringing (I couldn't decide which one to get), I finally settled on an iced strawberry tea with milk foam. I wasn't confident in my order, but all my anxieties allayed at first sip. It was delicious! The boba was soft, the strawberry flavors came through strongly without tasting artificial, and the milk foam added a complex layer of creaminess and saltiness that elevated the drink altogether. Even my husband, who's not much of a boba drinker, thought it was great (and kept stealing sips). If you're in Beacon and you're suddenly hit with a hankering for boba, try Asahi.

Why not go to charming Beacon and get yourself a poke bowl for a reasonable price? Especially, if you're around the area or across the river. The beverages are superb and a must try. Love the Galaxy Tea! Everyone in there are also super nice. Appreciate this spot, very much. Definitely a poke & tea spot, 1st. check it out

This location is consistent with the quality and service at its other location in Englewood. Interior is clean and bright with a large group table and bar seating. You can build your own bowl or choose from a signature menu with pre-selected ingredients. I built my own (~$17) and filled out a sheet with a list of ingredients. You can choose 2 bases, 2 proteins, 6 toppings, 2 sauces, and 4 garnishes. Just a side note for those who don't like raw fish: they have options with cooked meat like shrimp tempura and fried chicken. I chose brown rice, spicy tuna, smoked salmon, mango, pineapple, tamago, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, red onion, nori, candied walnuts, and cashews. I topped everything off with spicy mayo and ponzu soy sauce. Service was super quick as I was the only one there. Everything was fresh! My bowl was sweet, savory, and spicy. It was just the right portion size to satisfy my hunger, but not enough to put me in a food coma.

My personal preference is salmon so of course the Skuna Bay bowl was my favorite! As for the drinks, I was honestly shocked that the hibiscus and cranberry tea was my favorite because hibiscus is usually sour but this mix of flavors made it so refreshing! I loved the fast casual style of the restaurant - you can either get take out or stay and eat your fresh bowl by the big windows!

Update to my earlier review from 2024…read more We dined in for the first time on a spring Friday evening at around 6 PM and we were pretty much were the only ones dining inside for a majority of our meal. However, they were plenty busy with takeout orders. Service was quick as the waiter took our order down and our food was out within MINUTES! I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, which was a pretty good ramen considering they weren't a restaurant that specialized in ramen. The ramen was very tasty and like any other I've ordered from legit ramen restaurants. My wife ordered a custom poke bowl, which we've ordered many times before for pickup. The bowl was MASSSIVE and seemingly much bigger than what they typically give for takeout orders, although their takeout poke bowls are very generous too. For our kids, we ordered the House Special Fried Rice, which came with eggs and Chinese sausage. It was a solid fried rice and we were quite surprised it came with Chinese sausage because it's an ingredient we rarely see used for fried rice entrees at restaurants. Overall, our dining experience here was good and we loved that it was nice and quiet. It never got super busy, but a few parties did come in after us. The bread and butter of their business is definitely takeout though.

I was so excited to have my poke bowl with a side of a yummy bubble tea…read more The poke still bomb, fresh and a great portion. They have pre made bowls or you can build your own which is my fav! The place clean and cute and of course, packed and full of life. The staff upbeat and friendly which is what we love! Unfortunately I had to give them one less star for this rating (compared to my previous 5 star) because their bubble tea changed, not only their packaging but their quality. The cup felt flimsy, like if you squeeze too hard might pop the cover off, no big deal if the actual drink is great, then you bypass this BUT unfortunately this has to be one of the saddest bubble tea drinks I've had in a while. The drink was warm!!! Ugh, the ice was added last so therefore it melted immediately and so by the time it got to me, warm... I'm like ok I can add ice at home lol .. I had the mango and my boyfriend the peach. Both flavors were good, but both warm with ice is just not the same. We had it with tapioca bubbles and mango/peach popping boba. The popping boba was good but the tapioca pearls were SOOO HARD and a weird orange see through color so either they weren't ready or they were old! They were so hard they kept clogging our straw and couldn't sip our drink... everything about it was just a disappointment, I was so sad because I've been going there for years and I've loved their bubble tea and never had that problem! Anyway, go for food, skip their bubble tea.
