BECAUSE they have non-dairy options, it was awesome to try some familiar flavors that didn't hurt my system later. There is also food that is familiar to boba spots and it was comforting, fun, and some new things to try. Their service is as fast as they could and their location was good enough for social distancing enforcement. At first, I was unsure if I was going to get anything because I don't like boba personally. I saw that they had smoothies and slushees, but I know most places use powder instead of real fruit, so I ended up getting a mango and passion fruit slushee, and to be honest it was great! NO powder at all, natural fruit! Great mix of flavors, and the ice from the slushee was just breezy with chucks of mango on the bottom. Great service, somewhat hidden location. There's some graffiti on one of the high tables but it doesn't bother me as much because the rest of the establishment is clean and well lit. The chicken and fries together could be a little expensive but if you just stick with one of the two with a drink you'll be satisfied. I especially love it because they make the best tasting concoction's compared to other boba companies, and they have the most adorable branding! They really live up to their motto of adding a smiles in every cup! They have another location in Loma Linda, that I frequent. With COVID-19, they've made ordering their much easier on their website with pickup. They're also available on Door Dash (depending on location), which I've used. It has good drinks and food and is not too expensive and close enough to campus to walk. I have gone 5 times and my favorite drink is wintermelon black tea with basil seeds. Service varies depending on the server, usually it's good since there's barely any interaction with the servers. I only had one bad experience with the service so far when I went at a different time from my usual evening runs one of the kitchen staff was rude when I was asking if an order was mine, and that day the popcorn chicken bag was folded an inch on the bottom so I didn't have as much as I usually got. It's a good place to stay if you clean the table beforehand because I don't think they clean the tables after each customer. The wifi isn't posted anywhere so I just use data if I stay and study. Overall would give it 5 stars if the service was a bit better but everything else is great! read more

I usually go to Boba Fiend, but decided to come here recently and had a pretty similar experience to Boba Fiend. I couldn't decide if I wanted tea or coffee, so I went with coffee milk tea. I liked the flavor here. Half sweet was perfect for me. The coffee also helped tone down and balance the sweetness. They did a pretty good job of mixing the two so that the tea flavor isn't fully masked by the coffee. The boba here was a bit soft for my liking. It had a nice sweetness to it though. I'd definitely return. Boba Fiend just happens to be in a more convenient location for my commute, but when I have a bit of extra time, I'd definitely come try another drink. read more

Bring a sweater! Background noise: 6/10 The level of talking is moderate. The noise from blended drinks is the only one that may disrupt your music listening experience via headphones. Boba drink: 7/10 Sometimes the flavor of a number of the milk tea drinks can taste watered down and lacking the full body flavor in comparison to other boba shops. I have only ordered the taro, tai tea, boba milk tea, and a I do not normally study hear only because the quantity/price ratio is not that great. The Riverside location serves snow ice. The Loma linda site does not. I was craving some snow ice with fruit and condensed milk and this was the first location that came up on Yelp. I ordered the number one combo that came with original snow ice, mangoes, strawberries and condensed milk. It was ok, but the mangoes tasted green and the snow ice and condensed milk just wasn't as good as other places (Guppy house, Bingsoo) I also got an iced coffee which tasted good and had a nice kick to it. Boba Tea House is my go-to boba spot in Riverside. It is conveniently located next to UCR in a not-so-busy plaza. Every time I've come here, the service has been good. I also frequent the busier Loma Linda location. Prices are slightly higher here compared to other boba spots but I have no problem with that since I know I'm also paying for a quality drink and service. I also enjoy their hot Taro Coconut Milk Tea. It's perfect for chilly days and nights. During the summer, I enjoy a Lychee smoothie. I've also tried their popcorn chicken and calamari. From the outside the place looks like an average strip mall, relatively dingy with bad parking. It's cramped, and you would hesitate to put your hands on anything. From the inside, the place looks nicer and is appealing/modern. The floors were relatively sticky and the cashier was pleasant. However, the people actually making your drinks were less so-I stood at the pick up spot about my drink and one of the workers ignored me. I finally got the workers attention after three tries, and after finally getting one of the workers attentions, inquired about a miscommunication with my drink. I was under the impression that boba would be added to the drink for a promotion, but unfortunately not. :( The tea was sweet and tasted like an average milk tea, but in comparison to the other locations in the surrounding Riverside area, Boba Tea House pales in comparison. That said, the staff here are very friendly and service oriented. The drinks too are very good. Lately I have spread the love around to see which place makes me the best boba teas, slushies/teazers, or smoothies. The winner of the first category? This place for basic teas. They don't have the huge menu like Ten Rens, but they do it well. The winner for slushies is a two-way tie between Boba Fiend and Ten Rens. Boba House just can't find the consistency or texture sadly. As for smoothies? Boba house is second only to Pho Hyung on Arlington. What tips them up to four stars? Free Internet with separate passwords and connections for Apple products and Android. Plus, their popcorn chicken rules! Tender and still moist. Ten Rens is okay, seasoned different, but smaller crunchier pieces. Lilly Cup too falls short there. Still waiting for Boba Fiend to start cooking, but if you are hanging out, eat a snack here. However, it cost (base $3.15) $3.47 at the end of that for a regular size. It was kinda small for the price that you pay though. :( With tea stores like Half and Half and Oh My Pan, even 85C making drinks cheaper, I don't think that the price here justifies the drink. This boba shop is really, super close to my house -- which is probably one of the strongest motivators of me returning more often than I should (that, and the stamp card! 10 drinks get you 1 free one -- I have filled out almost 2 cards within 6 months now...) Otherwise, the drinks are pretty standard for any boba shop, however, sometimes not strong enough for my taste, especially for the OG drinks like black milk tea. Sometimes, the drinks to me taste watery. For that reason, the beverages themselves are a 3 stars. I have once tried to order the sea salt cream, which they did not have in stock, so I never asked after that. Recently, I have been impressed with the roasted oolong milk tea -- it's super strong. I usually get it less sugar, which brings out the tea flavor even more. The boba balls are pretty solid -- chewy. I have not had a bad experience with the tapioca balls themselves (yet!) -- whereas in contrast, some other places have flimsy tapioca balls that are the size of cut up grass jelly (I hate it when that happens!). Tall bar tables and also regular tables for you to do work or catch up with friends. Bathroom is clean. Space is well lit. Orange interior makes the whole place burst with energy. I give Boba Tea House an extra star for the quick, friendly service. Usually I am here for a quick boba run, and I always leave within 5 min of placing my order. Plenty of free parking in the lot as well so you can run in and out. I haven't ever tried the food, but if you are in need of boba in a cinch for a decent price, this is a good solution. read more

The best popcorn chicken near UCR!! I have been hunting for a good popcorn chicken spot near the school! I have been to Tim boba (that's not even Taiwanese popcorn Chicken more like chicken nugget) then I tried Ten Ren's popcorn chicken (they use some kind of chili oil which is too spicy for my taste, if you like extra spicy you can go to them even when I ask for mild) but the chicken at Boba Tea House is so juicy yet very close to the original taste of Taiwanese popcorn chicken! Their boba is also really good too. I ordered the Almond milk tea, very rich in taste and not too sweet, perfect for me when I don't want being too sweet. Boba.... Came here with a popcorn chicken craving and since lollicups kitchen was closed, we ended up here. Driving in to the location, the plaza is pretty dead, you wouldn't think they'd put a boba place here, and the place smelled like sewer, gross! But we were already there and decided to try it out. The menu is pretty huge and is laid out along the wall, mind you right where the seating area is, so kind of awkward when people are already seated and enjoying their boba while you're staring at the menu above their heads so kind of awkward. Anyway, I was craving something fruity to drink, figured mango tea would be pretty good and it was okay. The cashier was very friendly, he made efforts to make our visit pleasant. We ordered the popcorn chicken and it took a while but not too bad, the flavor and the crunch was pretty good, I actually liked it. The ONLY decent boba store in Riverside. This is my go to Boba spot whenever I'm in Riverside. They have cheap drinks and their popcorn chicken in BOMB! Compare to all the other boba stores in Riverside, Boba Tea House wins hands down for their Popcorn Chicken. I usually get it as a side order, but other times when I'm feeling really hungry, I get their popcorn chicken meal ( which includes Brown or White rice, AND Grilled Vegetables or Side Salad). Their side salad dressing is very tasty btw. Also for a $1 more, you can add a Green or Black tea (sweeten or non-sweeten). Boba Tea House is the best place if you want to study during the day or catch up with some friends. They have plenty of tables for you to sit at, I never had to worry about not finding a seat. Also, all the workers are students, so their all very nice and chill. This is my second time visiting to Boba Tea House. I usually go to Lolli Cup & Ten Ren Tea Time, but I decided to try something different. I don't know if they remodeled since my last visit, but the location looks great, with a good amount of seating. The place has similar elements to the other tea places I listed (Big UCR crowd, good place to study, trendy music, drinks ect.) I think the main difference that I noticed is that they have shaved ice desserts. I've heard from other fellow yelpers about the price is expensive for what you get. They are not as cheap as Lolli Cup, but it's not too expensive either (Maybe 50 cents more) As for the drink I had a peanut butter mocha. It tasted good, but definitely tasted more like peanut butter than mocha. Overall good place to go, I'm will probably come back when I'm in the mood for something different. read more

Popcorn chicken meal with veggies and brown rice, was my first visit selection. I also added a pina colada smoothie with it, no boba. The popcorn chicken was so tender and lighty breaded and they give you a nice portion. I would have liked more veggies with it, but its ok, maybe i'll request more on the next go round. The dipping sauce that comes with it, is quite tasty as well. I can't really grasp the taste, but it tastes like it may be a homemade sauce, but its on the line of a sweet n sour sauce taste. I also got a cup of the sweet chili sauce, which was too spicy for me, but if you like spice, then it'll be right up your alley. The pina coloda smoothie was very creamy, but could have been a bit more flavorful.
