Thanks to the premium teas that BTH has just introduced, a solid 3 stars from me!!! Please don't discontinue them! The Assam milk tea was so good, and I'm really looking forward to trying more types of the premium tea! I recently tried whichever one had rose, and it was good too. The Assam is still my fave though! If you're bougie as hell like me, I highly recommend giving the premium teas a try. I believe they either make them to order or in small batches. The only turnoff is the price; I paid $5ish for a large with boba. I realized that most boba places use non-dairy creamer/Mocha Mix in their drinks, so it's not the creamer that's offputting. The machine that BTH uses to circulate their drinks, along with the non dairy creamer, aerates the drink in a way that makes the milk teas thick and weird for me. JUST A HEADS UP FOR Y'ALL WHO DON'T LIKE THE CONSISTENCY Overall, the service is still great, the popcorn chicken is still dank, and the boba itself is still underwhelming. Went to grab a popcorn chicken meal today. I usually get non-spicy popcorn chicken because I can't do spicy. When I got back to my apartment, I opened the box and knew immediately that this was mild thinking only a few pieces of my chicken were coated in spice. I was wrong. All of my chicken pieces were half coated in spice. As a person who formerly worked at a boba tea place that served food, if a really bad complaint of yelp happens, then something needs to change in their kitchen. May I suggest doing the spiciness by yourself? My roommate told me a few weeks ago that she went there to get popcorn chicken, she was not given the option of non-spicy for some reason when ordering. My roommate also can't handle spicy at all. When she got mild, it was way to spicy for her. I'll still go back for the chicken, but I'll check next to so see if they out spice on it. read more

Tried Boba tea House for the first time today and got the brown sugar milk tea. It was sweet without being too sweet, the boba has flavor and it's not mostly ice like other places. My husband had the piña colada smoothie and it was made with real fruit. He said that it was the best smoothie he had from a boba place. My friends and I came here after getting food nearby and I go to Boba Fiend down the street pretty often so I asked if we can try somewhere new. There's a lot to choose from so there's something for everyone! My personal favorite was the shaved snow, mostly because it's my favorite dessert mostly anywhere and if a place can make it well, they're in the top in my book! We went in for some drinks and popcorn chicken. After eating a few pieces of my popcorn chicken I found this mixed in with my food. I pulled it out and looked closely and I honestly have no idea what it is. It looks like a clump of hair deep fried with breading and seasoning. Obviously I went in a demanded a full refund. I've never had a bad experience in the Loma Linda location so I was surprised. I definitely won't be going back here. I believe the kid in the kitchen was named Taylor. Boba Tea House has definitely upgraded the heck out of their interior since when I came here 8 years ago! I've been a die hard fan of BTH, especially since it's so close to UCR I used to come here all the time. I have to say I loved BTH before compared to now. The staff has changed and unfortunately the drinks are nowhere near how they used to be. I just came here two weeks ago and my almond milk tea wasn't that bad and I came back again last week and got a hot drink and an iced drink and it didn't taste good at all, but also the staff was different so it just might vary staff to staff. BTH has upgraded their interior tremendously! I had no complains before and don't have any now either. They're really turned this place into a hip center to come hang out. Unfortunately, it gets pretty loud in here. They play great loud music so it's hard to study in here. I'd come to hang out here instead of study now. Overall: Great, clean place! good drinks with friendly staff. Must try if you're in the area. I prefer BTH over the numerous tea places around UCR. read more

I used to always come here and enjoyed the drinks + service. However, last night was a very disappointing experience. The female cashier who helped me was so so so rude and short with me. I ordered 3 drinks and wanted to use my stamp cards, but she didn't seem to understand what I was trying to do. I patiently (& nicely) explained to her I had a few stamp cards I wanted to combine and purchase one drink to complete another stamp card... pretty simple right? This is probably my go-to boba house just because it's so close to school and has reasonably priced drinks/food. The one star I didn't add to my rating would be because their set up isn't very group friendly. If you have a large group, you're lucky to get a spot in the booths if there aren't many people around, but more often than not those booth tables are being taken up by one or two students studying. A lot of the time student organizations use the place as a fundraiser spot, so on the off chance you go there during a fundraising night for a big club, it'll be very loud and will have no seating anywhere. Other than that, I think the place is really nice and has a pretty good offer of drinks! I've tasted all their milk tea drinks and my favorite is their lavender milk tea! My group ordered the Jasmine Milk Green Tea, Passion Fruit Green Tea, Honey Pudding Milk Tea Slushie and Salted Caramel Milk Tea. The jmt and pgt were very watered down! Not sure we were even drinking tea... the salted caramel was way too sweet. The honey pudding milk tea slushie was probably the best of this bunch but still tasted closer to honey over ice. (It's bomb and it looks bomb too) if I'm craving something fruity, I order the watermelon slush. (Taste like real watermelon!) They have a really good selection so don't be afraid to try something different:) The place is always clean and aesthetically pleasing. The workers are nice and understanding. (my friend accidentally said Chai Tea instead of Thai Tea. Smh. And a male worker offered to make another one) The Popcorn chicken is really good. Me + Spicy food= Death, so if you're like me, don't order it mild. I thought it was going to be similar to Taco Bell mild where it just tickles your mouth a little but no. Went back bc the daughter couldn't stop thinking about that popcorn chicken, haha. This time I felt I should try something new since my go to has always been hot jasmine milk tea. I was torn between Tiger Tea and Lavender Milk tea. Mai Yen was there again and I told her about my dilemma, haha. She said, "Do you want to try a sample of each to help you decide?" I was blown away! This is the first time any boba place has offered samples! So I said, "Sure!!". She gave me a good sized sample of each tea to try, both were very good by the way, and it definitely helped me to decide...I still wanted my go to hot jasmine milk tea. ;) In the end, I think that everything boils down to customer service. If you have great food but bad service it just kind of ruins your whole experience. I really think the customer service here is great, and that's what keeps us coming back. Boba and food were good but the wifi in this place is beyond awful and cheap being so close to UCR I decided to go here and study but when I asked the barista for the wifi password she told me to connect to a my spectrum wifi instead of the actual BobaTeaHouse network and it was so slow and my productivity was decreased by so much. This review is for the owner /s of this place. This was the boba spot for us after picking up our kids from school. On an average visit, we would spend about $45-$50 on boba and snacks. I just wanted to let you know that we will not be coming here anymore. We will also encourage our friends and family to stop coming as well. The reasons is because there had been several occasions that we were NOT allow to use the bathroom to wash our hands before we eat or after we eat. This is annoying! There is a written sign saying the bathroom is closed. In addition, the white girl with dye black hair is extremely rude with horrible attitude. Every time my son asked for extra bbq sauce or extra chili powder, she would denied him. We have even offered to pay for the extra sauce but she would still denied us. " we can't do that, We can't give u extra bbq sauce"! I would rather give out a small tiny cup of bbq sauce or chili than to lose a family of 4 that spends money here. I believe she acts this way bcuz she's a lazy fu*king person and don't want to work. Also, the other workers lack the customer experience to provide good or even decent service. They seem to take a long time especially if you don't use the kiosk. There are still people that prefer to pay things with cash! All these issues make coming here not enjoyable anymore. This place is great to study (if you can stand the noise), the popcorn chicken snacks are great, service is ok, drinks are lame. With the numerous places to get boba around UCR, Boba Tea House is definitely a place more for fundraisers and if you're feeling for not too much of a drink. Prices are average but I don't think the drinks are that amazing. The only drink I will get here now is the matcha milk tea as every other drink here just makes me want to cringe. They also don't like to adjust drinks much and it was only because of one of their managers/shift lead? that I was able to get my drink the way I wanted it. Still didn't come out great though. There's a lot of space to hang out and study with friends with the numerous amount of seating and the parking lot is bigger to fit more cars. This is my favorite boba place in Riverside! Home to the most delicious drinks and the best employees (MAJOR SHOUT-OUT TO MARY!!!) ever! As a UCR student, this was my go-to spot for studying and post-meeting hang outs. There are so many drinks to choose from and so many seasonal ones, I never even had the chance to try them all! My hands down favorite drink is the avocado smoothie with mini boba. It is so worth the money--you'd be missing out if you didn't try it for yourself! There's complimentary wifi here and the best part about it is that they have two separate ones: one for Apple products and one for non-Apple. They're also located in a plaza with several other restaurants I frequent such as Rockstar Shrimp and El Fogon, so there's a dedicated parking lot for them. If you're doing pick-ups, they have two 5-minute ONLY parking spots at the front of the shop. With their stamp cards and quarterly finals week deals, Boba Tea House sets itself apart from all adjacent competitors. With so many boba shops in Riverside, I find that Boba Tea House remains to be my favorite. Their prices are far cheaper compared to Ding Tea and ZeroX. There are tall bar tables and regular tables. This place is great for gathering with friends. At times, it can get loud, so it might not be the best environment to study in. Parking is always extremely convenient. I consider myself to be a regular customer at Boba Tea House. The workers have always been extremely friendly. They have never rushed me to order and have always been helpful when I asked for new drink recommendations. Often times, there are monthly drinks that you can sample. I usually stick to drinking milk tea, but going to Boba Tea House has widened my palette. Their boba is always fresh and there are a wide variety of drinks, ranging from teas to smoothies to slushies.
