Been wanting to try this place, so I was excited when they opened a location closer to me. I went the first time on a weekday, and tried the Tapei Memory and the Yuzu Matcha. I asked if they adjust sugar level on those, and she said no, because the sweetness comes from the fruit jam, and the drinks aren't too sweet. And she was right. The drinks weren't too sweet for me, and tasty and refreshing. The tapioca was good and chewy, but they don't add enough toppings in the drinks, and least not for me. They didn't have any pastries when I went that weekday. She said that they usually have more on weekends. I went back on a weekend, and they had the flat croissants and the ube mochi cookies. I tried the strawberry matcha flat croissant, even though it's not my kind of pastry, but it was still good. I'm hoping to be able to try their regular croissants. The shop is cute, and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. read more

The 800 Folds Brown Sugar Boba Milk is probably my favorite brown sugar boba milk of any boba shop. Better than Tiger Sugar, CHICHA San Chen, ComeBuyTea. Price is maybe $1-2 higher than others. That's probably likely due to the ingredients. Not sure if people have noticed, but pretty much every boba shop charges $7-9 for a drink. read more

First time trying bobae as we were in the area for an errand and I really liked it. I loved the variety of drinks they had available and when I ordered the ube cheesecake they told me that it was prepared in house so the ube is still a bit fibrous, which to me is honestly the ideal state for it to be. It actually wasn't though but both the ube and the cheese foam really come through authentically. The boba is SO soft and chewy too. And warm when it first came out! Also liked that I had the option to have my drink hot or cold. Usually that's not much of a thing outside of asia. The matcha passionfruit was also great. They poured the matcha into the drink in front of us and also told us it was prepared the traditional way. The matcha wasn't as strong in the drink as the passionfruit but the passionfruit was delicious. Definitely a lighter drink than the ube cheesecake lol. Then we also got some baked goods that were apparently just delivered fresh from origin bakery. Don't know where that is, but I'll need to make the trip some time. We got the double baked sesame croissant and the ube oreo mochi cookie. The sesame croissant was really great in the way you'd expect a solid croissant with a sesame paste spread inside would be. Because it was double baked it was very flakey all the way through, whether you like that or not. But that pop of sesame flavor was so beautifully pervasive through every chew. And the cookie was just something i couldn't resist because of how much was going on just within the name. Huge dense very very heavy cookie that might be a little too much on the flavor side actually but still good. We only took a bit of it so far and are saving the rest for later because we might've had too much sugar here- oh that's the last thing. I got 50% sugar on the ube drink. Next time I might actually go for 0 haha and just let the ube and cream do the talking. read more

I give props to the one person gal who ran the store all by herself. Tried the hojicha latte with boba 25% sweetness. I thought it was just right especially since the boba is already sweet. Boba a bit soft but still good. Dessert - limited and honestly wasn't that great IMO. Overall..they charge more for the drinks. I don't care for the "crazy names". They know how to market the drinks and making it colorful and pour the concoction in front of you. read more

I think the drink is very good and the staff are very kind and hard working, however, I do have 2 complaints. 1, the price is insanity and its the smallest boba ive ever had I mean $12 for a brown sugar milk tea with boba added?? for a 16oz drink?? 2, it usually has a very long wait (like 20+ min) everytime ive been, and ive gone 6 times. If they lowered the prices I would go much more often. Until then, I suggest going elsewhere. read more

Cute little spot with super friendly staff! I'm staying nearby and my friend brought me here since they just opened recently. Lots of potential :) I tried their limited edition passion fruit matcha drink. I have never seen this combo ever. I love both separately so I knew I had to try it. They did let me know that the passion fruit would be a jam. Usually fruit drinks are syrups so I thought it was very interesting. It was hard to mix the jam in with the rest of the drink, so it was pretty thick. I wish it was a little more liquidy, but otherwise the taste was great! read more

I ordered the Sapphire Moonlight lavender drink w/ oat milk and the twice baked black sesame croissant. Both were delicious! The strawberry match flat croissant and strawberry sundae were good as well. Their ingredients including the boba and drink mix-ins are fresh and made in house. This place replaced ShareTea. ShareTea was your classic go-to chain boba shop and was great for Issaquah, but BoBae is a good replacement for that boba fix. I always get the classic black milk tea for every new place I try, their Nitro Brew OG black milk tea was delicious! I like that they use some condensed milk as sweetener. I got half sweet and it was perfect. They also have lactose free milk as an option for you lactose intolerants! Boba: soft and not too chewy! Loved the texture and great flavor/sweetness (this totally preference, those who like chewier boba may not like as much) Cheese cap: a tinge of saltiness which really elevates the flavor. Not too cheesy. Also love that they have pastries. We got the twice baked black sesame croissant 10/10. Happy to have this in Issaquah. Go early before it's sold out read more

TL;DR: Great flavors, delicious drinks, knowledgeable and welcoming staff, clear markers for caffeine free drinks with milk alternatives easily and clearly available, and a great location to sit and enjoy your beverage. Long version: following my sister's recommendation the family tried it out last Sunday morning. The rose matcha drink had a wonderful balance of rose and matcha, the lavender drink had a deliciously healthy dose of lavender, and the bobaejicha (hojicha tea with boba) was astonishingly delicious. The staff person was knowledgeable about the product, including a warning that because everything is precisely balanced, ordering your drink without ice will have a small amount of room left. I ordered my bobaejicha without ice anyways, and found no noticeable difference between my beverage and my sister's. The matcha was clearly actual matcha, not merely food grade (you can tell by the color), and was mixed fresh before being poured over the drink. Overall, a happy new location to discover, and I am happy to go back this weekend! read more

Food/Drinks I'm obsessed with the Bobaejicha. I love the care that the team puts into making their drinks and I love how it's consistent no matter which location you visit. I also love trying all the seasonal drinks as well. It's fun to follow their instagram to see what surprises they have up their sleeves. Service The team is so nice. It feels like you are alone in a room with them, even if the place is jam packed. You can feel that they actually care about you as a person. They always take the time to explain the details of their drinks when you need help. I also love that you can customize every drink. Well done. Ambiance The decor in the new location is simple yet beautiful. I love the pink theme with plants. The place is clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. I'm a fan. I've been twice, and both times they've gotten my order incorrect AND overcharged me the last time I went. Besides that their flavors are decent but the boba is overcooked, borderline mushy. It's cute inside and they really know how to stick to a theme. I think two tries was enough for me and I probably won't be back - having to correct my order gets old fast, especially considering their prices are pretty steep.
