When we arrived this morning to the cafe, we were both surprised and not surprised that we were the only guests - Surprising because it's a Sunday morning and not surprising since this cafe is in a neighborhood. We were greeted by two staff members who were polite and friendly. They took our order without rushing us and brought it to us after a while. Coffees and pastries were good, but not exceptional. We will return when the weather is better to take advantage of their outdoor seating and to try lunch options. I'd recommend this cafe as a place to bring your laptop and get some work done while having a bite.

This place is very convenient for anyone who lives in the area. The restaurant is clean and has a good vibe to it. They have an assortment of croissants and other pastries, as well as your standard coffee orders. The croissants are buttery and flaky, and they pair well in the sweet and savory flavors. The cafe au lait and chai tea were served hot and were delicious to sip on. The barista and servers are all super pleasant, and work with you on whatever you like to order. I will be adding this place to my regular rotation!

A nice little cafe/shop behind Cougar Mt Middle School. It doesn't have any parking, only street side but does have a reserved spot for handicap. Their croissants are flaky and fresh. They also have savory sandwiches and dessert tarts. My favorite is their hazelnut one. Their interior has about 6 tables and they have a small storefront patio for outdoor seating. A very nice place to catch a coffee and yummy pastry. Across from their store is a picnic shelter and a trailhead. I have to say their pastries are not cheap but will do.

As a sweet way to begin the year, two of us started the day with coffee and French pastries! This café is located in a residential area almost near the top of the Talus development. There's street parking only, but since the storefront is on a corner, we were able to find a spot pretty easily. They displayed their pastry offerings at a table near the entrance which included both sweet and savory options. An employee immediately welcomed us and graciously took a couple minutes to describe each one. Everything looked perfectly golden brown and flaky. I selected the Kouign-Amann ($7.00) per the employee's recommendation and my companion got the twice-baked almond croissant ($7.00). I also got a 12 oz. Cafe Latte ($4.85), but was disappointed to hear that they don't have decaf coffee. Instead, the barista kindly suggested one shot of espresso rather than the standard two. It didn't give me the jitters, so I was happy about that despite still paying the full price for a weaker latte. The Kouign-Amann was airy and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The exterior was brushed lightly with a sugary coating that caramelized in the oven. So good! This pastry was pretty rich, composed of many buttery layers, but I appreciated how it wasn't too sweet. The almond croissant was filled with a delightful almond paste. Both of us enjoyed our breakfast, but the pricing is quite steep so we probably wouldn't become regulars. Our two pastries and two coffees totaled $23 before tax. 3.75 stars.

When you walk in, someone will greet you in front of the counter ready to take your order/ answer questions. She was very kind but for me I like to look and talk about the food before ordering so I felt pressured to talk less (to my husband) and order so I won't be in the way They have the glass case & also a few pastries on the counter for display. We ordered the quiche and sandwich; they kindly told us it would take some time to warm up. They brought us complimentary bottle of water & cups as we waited To our surprised the quiche and sandwich came with salad. But it IS pricey, $17. But they were so good!! I had the quiche and my husband the sandwich (croque?) the quiche was lightly crispy on the top and gooey soft inside but with texture. Crust is good... so good Tart was really good too and I loved the little things inside that gave a little crunch... I didn't see the paper menu until after I ordered and be warned, nothing on display has prices on it ... so if you are on a tight budget, definitely look at the paper menu and/or ask for the prices Coffee is normal price but pastries and breads are all $8-$17. I think our bill came out to around $90 before tips and we only had 2 coffee, sandwich, quiche, tart and 2 pastries to take home ... keep in mind they are small... AND DELICIOUS. as one would say you get what you paid for! The sitting area, considering the price of food is very.... Informal? Metal chairs that weren't too comfortable. They also have some benches with higher table/ chairs. Ok but not a great place for little kids (me and my 3 year old love going to cafes). They did have one high chair there. But overall the place is not good for kids that wiggle around and want to walk around. The chairs is not the most comfortable and the bench seats would be a bit too tall And they DO rotate what they have so if there is a particular thing you want you might want to call before hand. There is a very clean bathroom too. But food wise I would give them a 5+!!

Pastries were nice. But cannot even compare to the ones in Paris. They were all good and tasty but found it to be extremely overpriced. I would be willing to pay the price if they compared with any corner Paris boulangerie . Coffee was bad, wouldn't recommend. Would recommend the almond shoe pastry, eclair and plain crossoint. Service girls were sweet. Cafe ambience was cute.

If you live here, and need a local place for a nice tête-à-tête with your neighbors, this might be a reasonable cafe, but I wouldn't take the time to drive here. The pastries were stale, with my smoked salmon tart topped with dry pieces of lox, the edges already leathery. If the coffee and tea was half the price, they would be OK, but thats extremely expensive for a teabag in a cup of hot water. The latte earned them a star for being tasty and nice and hot.

But based on those vanilla cupcakes, I can tell you this place knows what they are doing!!!!! I was skeptical when I went in and saw all these frozen 6 packs of cupcakes. In my head I said to myself, "well, I walked in and I'll feel bad if I leave without buying something. But those cupcakes are frozen! They will be so dry! I'll buy some for pity's sake and probably write this place off". It turns out I did not buy the cupcakes for pity's sake, but for delicious sake!!!! OMG, they are SOOOO good! And surprisingly moist, like they were never frozen! I don't know how they do it but I'm a fan! As it turns out, I LOVE the frozen 6 pack because I can thaw one at a time to satisfy my sweet tooth. From other cupcake places I would buy 4-6 fresh and eat them all over 2 days. My thighs thank Taste of Amazing for solving this problem I had! I can't wait to come back and buy more cupcakes in other flavors! They have some good looking frozen foods here, but I haven't tried them. Based on my cupcake experience though I will not hesitate to do so in the future. This place is located kinda behind Pomegrante restaurant, if anyone has trouble finding it. I read that she uses fresh, wholesome ingredients.. something I appreciate. So I contacted Gail for a custom order of 1/2 dozen assorted cookies and 1/2 dozen cupcakes. I just asked for just an assortment of what she had fresh that day. I believe the cupcake flavors were chocolate with cake batter frosting, chocolate peanut butter, coconut and possibly lemon or red velvet. As for the cookies, my friend got chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and peanut butter. Gail was so easy to work with through emails. And when she delivered the goodies, my friend wasn't home, but Gail called me for instructions and I gave her the okay to set it on the porch. She even took a picture for me to show that it was delivered. Couldn't really try the cupcakes and cookies, but my friend loved them! She said they really delicious, fresh and moist. I definitely recommend Taste of Amazing!

I thought this was the better of the two cookies. I could feel its density throughout - there was a ton of weight to each bite. My favorite part about this was the white chocolate chips - which felt incredibly satisfying to bite into and tasted really good Wish the cookie contained more of them Out of the two, this was really the only one that had a crunch The Cannoli cookie disappointed me. First, the filling was really minimal compared to the rest of the cookie. It felt like it was 90% the outer cookie and 10% the cannoli filling on each bite The outside was ok - it was somewhat crumbly but tasted fine - but there was just a lot of it - and since there were no chocolate chips or any other fillings in the meat of the cookie other than just the dough - it got a bit old just getting like 90% dough You really don't taste the filling at all until you get to the edge of the cookie - where it combines well with the chocolate chips At this point, where I could actually taste the filling, I found it to be quite flavorful Unfortunately, I missed out on this taste for the majority of the remaning cookie Overall, I thought these cookies were probably good overall, but not worth the $5 price tag for each and certainly not worth the 600 and 760 calories respectively for each one
