this was by far the most disappointing experience i've ever had at a boba shop and i didn't even order anything. so, they open at 9 am and it's 10 am when i arrive. i would assume that by the time a store opens, they would have everything available for customers to order... a fair assumption to make. my family and i wanted to try the snacks as well since they had a sampler deal. once we go up there to order, not only are they out of honey boba until 10:45 am, which i let slide, they're also out of every snack imaginable except for around three. i just feel like if you're going to open at 9 am, then customers should be able to order by 9 am.. if not, then open later or include times for when these items are available. their menu was impressive and the drinks looked really good too. it's just too bad we couldn't get to experience any of it. like if you're going to be called bobaholics, at least have boba. read more

When I came to Bobaholics on their Grand Opening, I was surprised how fast the service was and how all the drinks were all good. With the BOGO that weekend I got a lot of drinks and each one of them have their own taste. On the first visit, the Love Potion and Compassion. In the second trip, I got the Creme Brulee Latte, Trouble in Paradise, Jasmine Green Milk Tea, and Black Tea Crema. The Compassion (tea), Jasmine Green (milk tea), and Trouble in Paradise (smoothie) are my recommendations as the basic flavors and fruity flavors don't miss. The store is small and the price is pricey without the deal, but I would still go here as the workers are nice and drinks are all good! read more

Chris and Christie are just the sweetest people and definitely take care of their customers! They provide a clean, safe and welcome environment to all ages. We chose Bobaholics because they're a recommended partner of our wedding planners Oso Events. We loved that they offered a self-serve dispenser option with toppings on the side, which we chose because it was less wasteful than pre-packaged drinks. i've already gone to the first location an embarrassing number of times so i already knew this secondary location would be equally great. MANGO SMOOTHIE: does not taste like artificial mango sweetener at all!! i got mine at 50% sweetness and it's perfect for me ~ not too sweet but still evidently flavorful. they also top it off to the fullest which is so nice !! definitely feel like i'm getting my moneys worth and feels good knowing less of their product is going down the drain lmao POTTED MATCHA LATTE: their matcha is such a deep green (as good matcha should be, sorry to sound entitled) and you can tell it's mixed well because there aren't any clumps of matcha that settle at the bottom! STRAWBERRY MILK TEA WITH BOBA: 25% sweet with oat milk is closer to a fruit tea than a milk tea. the tea is very strong too, but not to the point where it's a bitter brew, which is always a plus! this drink alone would get a 3.5/5 because the boba is cooked well (perfect consistency, a little chewy but still soft) and the tea is great. overall love this place ! it's very inviting with its bright interior and is so clean it just makes me feel good going in there knowing the food and drinks are also going to get the same care. read more

A pretty good boba place in the SJ area with snacks as well. They seem to have expanded their shop with more seating since the last time I came. They're a little pricy, but they give you a lot of food so that's ok I guess. Last time I went there, I ordered Strawberry Matcha cold foam, no boba and 25% sweet. It was still sweet at 25%, so it would be nice to have a no sweet option or a sugar substitute. I'm taking one star off for this reason, but the drinks and food are still pretty good. I'm pretty sure i've tried their boba with a Thai tea and liked it. Ordering is pretty straightforward. read more

Been coming here since this was called "Blackpearl". I was with Bobaholics during the whole COVID speak in the mic, and waited outside to hear your name thing. For some reason, in the last couple of months, they went to a no-interaction ordering system where you order on a tablet, that's probably never been whipped down after all the customer's orders before and still asks for a "TIP" towards the end of the transaction. Two weekends ago, I bought 3 large drinks, so a $21 transaction. The ordering system to me was a lil bit confusing and I mentioned they should just take the order when I was presented with some drinks I didn't want after waiting several minutes. I wasn't rude but just made a statement that I was going to pay for another round and have them keep the 3 drinks I still paid for. But a young girl behind the counter said, "It's not our fault if you entered the order yourself," and pointed to the tablet. WOW! At that point, I started to tell her "I didn't say it was your fault, I was just saying..." Suddenly I just walked out and left the drinks. I don't have time for this new entitled customer service generation where you ask for a tip before the service. I've been a customer for years, but now I know you guys don't care about customers. Just like the drinks I left, you can keep your customer service as there are many Baba shops around the corner to choose from. Won't be going back anytime soon, unless they change ownership again! read more
