Passed by here many times and finally decided to give it a try. Once you're inside, you can either order at the register or by on your own with their tablet. I got the jasmine milk tea with boba, less ice, and 75% sugar. It was about $6 for the large. The tea flavor was strong and floral with the perfect amount of sweetness. It wasn't watered down at all and tasted quite nice. Their boba is handmade and its a little different than your typical boba. They are a little smaller and flatter, but still soft and chewy all the way thru. It was a lil weird at first but it was actually not bad but definitely 'different.' Hands down one of my fave spots and I love their homemade boba. My go-to drink is their ice cream boba milk tea, SO DELICIOUS! I also tried their mango king, if you're a mango love, you will love all the mango in this drink! It's mango ice cream with mango puree topped with some whipped cream. The whipped cream isn't heavy either so it makes the drink super refreshing and light. The taro is delicious also! Since they use real taro to make it, you can take the flavoring. There are so many amazing bubble tea spots in the Bay Area, so you really do need something special to set you apart. Bobaville's uniqueness is the boba itself. It is the only shop (that I know of) that makes their boba fresh from scratch. (Instead of making the boba from dried tapioca balls). It's not even a gimmick, as the boba's texture is unparalleled. I like their clear boba and matcha milk teas, but they really need to do something about their cups! It's really messy when there's a removable lid. Most boba shops seal their cups and you can shake it up knowing it won't spill. Each time we've had their boba, it would spill getting all that stickiness in your car! I am so freaking happy I live near Bobaville, but also a little worried for my sugar intake and wallet LOL. The milk teas here are a little less sweet than other boba spots, so if you normally get like 50% sugar at other places, you might want to get a slightly higher sugar level here. My only complaint is that sometimes the sugar level does seem to be a bit inconsistent (I get 100% sugar and some days my drink is noticeably sweeter than other times). BLACK SUGAR MATCHA LATTE + BOBA: I usually don't order matcha lattes, just because I normally prefer black milk teas. However... this is the exception. The black sugar matcha latte is sooo good. The black sugar syrup definitely makes a difference! I always get it with boba as well. The boba here is made in-house, and is amazing!! They have the perfect amount of chewiness and sweetness. Everything I've ordered here has been terrible. I know there's a sign at the counter that says if you're unhappy with your drink, you can ask them to remake it.. but iono.. I don't think I would've liked it regardless. Thai tea was mediocre - I've had far better elsewhere. Their fruit green teas (lychee and strawberry) were ridiculously watery and only the addition of boba gave it some flavor. A little pricey for the poor quality ($5-6). Just realized Daly City doesn't have a lot of boba spots and found this place after dinner. I love their selections since they have a gold variety of different drinks. I had the matcha mango latte with boba. I was surprised they home make their own boba and it's not your normal color. They were perfectly cooked and the right softness. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I've been dealing with this issue for over a year and I've got time today. I always order from bobaville through doordash (I pick it up myself instead of having it delivered). Every single time that I order, I set the pickup time for at least 45 minutes later to give myself or my husband enough time to run a couple of errands before picking up our order. I would prefer not to have my drinks watered down due to melted ice. They literally pay no attention to the pickup time whatsoever. It happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've started opting for "less ice" when ordering from here. The drinks themselves are great (I'm sure they would be even better if all the ice wasn't melted before I got to it!), but the employees don't follow the pickup time and then have the audacity to tell us that we left our drinks there for too long. Could I opt for no ice? Yes. Would my drink be as cold as I'd like? No. No it wouldn't. The attached photo shows that I set my order to be picked up by 6:20 and then I got a text at 5:34 stating that my order was ready. Basically 45 minutes EARLY. Why? Every single time. I have been here a few times now to grab boba, I stick with their regular milk tea and agar boba. This is the only place in the bay area that I have found agar boba. Agar is a jelly like substance obtained from seaweed, and is way less calories than traditional boba. It is also a lot chewier than regular tapioca, and to me the texture is more pleasant because it doesn't get as mushy. They don't have too many options here compared to other boba places, maybe 15 or so drinks too choose from. They don't use any fruit syrups or anything like other boba shops. Bobaville also makes their own boba from scratch, I haven't tried their home made boba yet, but I might give that a try next time. read more

Heading there and got inside to see my 3 drinks already to go, just around 8 minutes. Unsure how busy or slow they were, plenty of drinks ready for pickup from my observation. I respect their quick turnaround time, as I was definitely in a crunch for time. The boba here is so delicious, not the typical "boba" or "sago" I'm used to ordering. I read a review earlier that equated the consistency to mochi, which I think is a fair assessment. I enjoyed it! Boba tea balls and jellies here are homemade and you can definitely tell in the warm and soft texture. The menu is creative and unique and the flavor combinations are wondrous. The quality slaps you the face - out of the countless boba joints I have patronized and reviewed, I have to say only Teaspoon rivals this experience. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures and only sampled one drink: the roasted oolong salted creama puts your mind to Teaspoon's famed Roasted Tea Crema, but for a twist of pink Himalayan sea salt that bites nicely into the fresh creamy milkiness. In the small Boba Tea shop, I was happy to see that the workers wore masks and they also have an option of ordering online or just on a screen so there is really not much human contact for people preparing the drinks during COVID-19. We got Mango King, Taro, and Boba Milk. The Mango King is a Mango Smoothie with Cream and Mango Ice Cream. I simply love this drink because it was refreshing and creamy at the same time from the Cream and Mango Ice Cream combined with the Mango Smoothie, so it gives you some sweetness but not too sweet while being giving a light and kind of refreshing taste from the blended Mangos. The Taro Smoothie is basically pureed Taro that we also added Homemade Boba with. It was good because it was actual Taro and you could really taste it. It also went well with the Boba that was still warm and chewy. The Boba Milk tasted like sweetened Milk since the Boba that was still warm and tasted like Maple Syrup. Overall, I definitely recommend all of the drinks that we got because they were really good and not too sweet. Will definitely come again to try some new drinks. read more

I think this place has a lot of promise, but I will have to come back and try it again with more sugar in my tea to better understand the hype. I typically get 25% sweet at most places, and it is already pretty sweet for milk tea, but 25% here is literally bitter tea if you get the Hong Kong milk tea. Their homemade boba got me a bit confused because it was clear, but many of their photos show it to be brown colored ... but there was no brown colored boba option just boba (a single option) so I wasn't sure why mine were clear. In addition to it being clear, the homemade boba had ZERO flavor. Literally ... it was like eating the gel off a petri dish. There's not even a hint of sweetness to it. But I think we should appreciate their super chewy and fresh boba - no wonder It's handmade! Their boba is a bit smaller, and It would be really nice If they had bigger boba as well because that's what I normally go for. I got 100% sugar(no shame), but It was less sweet than I thought. Like many others have said, there's a dearth of quality boba spots in the Daly City area, so I was appreciative when Bobaville opened! It's noteworthy that they are NOT a chain and make all their boba in-house. Their boba looks like the clear agar boba, and the consistency is a little different from traditional black boba, but I like it. My favorite drinks are the mango matcha latte and salted crema tea. All drinks are handmade to order, and I do feel like they put a bit more time and care into the product here than other places. I'm glad to see another boba spot in the Serramonte neighborhood. I made my own drink. Oolong tea with grass jelly and non-dairy creamer. Yes, that's pretty basic, but the only oolong tea on the menu has sea cream. I always like to order a oolong milk tea with grass jelly when I try a new boba spot because that seems to be a staple drink. They didn't have an option for a roasted oolong tea, besides the sea cream one though, so that was a bummer. I'm not sure if the one I ordered was a roasted oolong tea or not but it didn't say it was roasted on the menu. The boba hit the spot but didn't stand out. Let's start by saying this WAS my favorite place to get real strong yummy tasting HK milk tea since they first open. They even make their own boba and it's not black but white. Same color as the crystal boba which sometimes it's hard to tell apart by look till you taste it. So.....I came here on Wednesday when they just opened. Ordered online since they will open in 5 min. Online order is quick and fast. The sad part was their HK milk tea is no longer good. I wish I took a picture of it to show how light it was. It was even worse than their second location in sunset. I was so disappointed and sad I no longer have a good HK milk tea location until today. I got my HK fix from MILKTOPIA on Taraval in the sunset district. Bobaville other drinks were fine. I thought it was hit or miss since the mother location wasn't good but I was wrong. Maybe new owners or they need their employees to be more trained in making it. It is hard to find good workers or if any during the pandemic which I understand. I hope maybe in the future when I do order, the HK drink will be back to normal like when they first open. HOMEMADE boba made in house with no preservatives & filler free. "Just four ingredients: tapioca, water, brown sugar, and caramel"... what more can you ask for?! Seriously, they make their boba fresh from scratch every hour. You can't say that about anywhere else. Yes, Boba Guys makes their own boba but it's made at a warehouse and not fresh. The boba at Bobaville alone is sheer, chewy goodness. Once you've had their boba, you just can't go anywhere else... or at least I can't! I'm a Bobaville original coming here since they first opened and they've come a long way. The drinks have always been top notch but in a few short months, they've got their system down and fixed the few hiccups such as long wait times in the beginning due to new staff being trained. I've come here so often that it's time I give this place a thorough review. Drinks - I can't complain about any of the drinks. I've had the pleasure of tanking down quite a few of them. Honestly, it's really hard to pick one drink to order because I want to drink them all. Roasted oolong salted crema: Hands down one of my go to favorites! The robust tea mixed with frothy cream, chewy boba, and topped with savory Himalayan salt. It's just bursting with so many flavors that go so well together. Classic milk tea & Jasmine milk tea: They use quality tea you can definitely taste. I'm a real light weight when it comes to caffeine so it's a little on the stronger side for me. It's so good that the caffeine doesn't stop me from ordering these great drinks from time to time. Creamy Avocado: I like my avocado drinks not too sweet so this is the perfect drink for me. I want to actually taste fresh avocados and not another sugar filled drink. They don't always have the drink available but that just makes it even more special when you are able to order it. Mango King: This is the king of mango drinks. Mango puree with mango ice cream and whipped cream. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Taro: Chunky, fresh taro mashed with milk, coconut milk, sugar and a sprinkle of taro powder to give it an extra flavorful kick. Another mouth watering gem. Decor - Sleek, clean and inviting. No distracting colors and odd art pieces. I enjoy the minimalist look that gets down to business... it's all about the boba drinks. Staff - Very friendly, hard working, knowledgable staff. It's a lot of work to knead the boba dough, cut the taro, and make a ton of drinks as quick as possible. These people do a great job, all with a smile! I'm ecstatic that a new boba place opened up nearby. It's even better how Bobaville focuses on housemade boba, which makes me feel less guilty about grabbing a drink. I've made it a must to visit this place whenever I could and also introducing them to my friends. I thought Bobaville's menu was different in the way it focuses on Black tea, Jasmine tea, Roasted Oolong tea, Thai tea, and Matcha, which is unlike the typical boba shops' variety. My first visit, I ordered a Ice Cream Milk Tea with Thai Tea (you had a choice of any of the teas- besides matcha), 50% sweet with boba. I would definitely recommend adjusting the sugar level for the Ice Cream Milk Tea because the boba and ice cream are already sweet so if you aren't a sweet tooth, definitely adjust it. The boba was amazing, I still think about it constantly. It was to the perfect consistency for me- chewy and not too tough. I've also tried a few other drinks: Mango King, Hong Kong Milk Tea, Roasted Oolong Salted Creama, and the Almond Tea. The Hong Kong Milk Tea was pretty good (better than some places I've tried). It wasn't overly sweet and not as creamy which fits my ideal taste buds. The black tea wasn't overly strong and overpowering. I really enjoyed the Almond Tea for I'm someone who doesn't enjoy almond tasting drinks/food. The almond flavor was fragrant but not to the point it tasted bad. Although you can't adjust the sweetness for this drink, it wasn't overly sweet for me. The space was rather small, with only three tables available.
