It taste so nasty and straight up half the cup was syrup purée and only a little matcha. They forgot the milk ? Mixed it hoping it would taste better but it tasted so thick and gooey I had to spit it out in the sink. No phone number and I already left. In all honesty, I underestimated this place. There is just so many boba places within SF, DC, and SSF that i thought it was just going to be another Boba spot that was whatever. Now, I dont think this boba spot is close to a 10...however i am impressed with the quality of the boba pearls and somewhat of the actual drink. To start off, there is definitely parking everywhere as this spot is located inside a Plaza or Center as you can say.. The moment you walk inside, it's plain but clean, and spacious. You don't smell sweet boba right away but it feels very "Air-y". The sleek menu's, white walls/furniture, complimented by the big boba just gives a nice vibe and impression. First impressions are always a nice way to start. I would say a star is knocked off because the quality of the actual drink is not worth the minimum of $4. There are two sizes, a 16oz and 24oz. I got a 16oz Thai Tea, no toppings...and my mom got a 24oz Classic Milk Tea with boba....total of $10.84 for 2 very basic drinks. The drink itself is okay..but not horrible. The boba pearl is what saved the drink. I tried it because of my mom's drink and im very impressed. I have not had a perfect chew/sweetness of boba from most boba spots in awhile, except for Tpumps always being my #1 satisfying boba standard. This place used to be a solid boba spot. Not sure what happened. Drink was watered down (gave it a shot again after their Sunset location gave us 4 watered down drinks!) Service was bad at this Daly City location. We asked for a new drink and was given attitude. The barista was being rude to everyone she interacted with. I emailed them about the issues. Pretty disappointed as they were swift to respond years ago when there was a piece of plastic in their homemade boba. They responded with a short sorry for the inconvenience, but basically ignored my follow up of how it's going to be handled. Maybe I'm asking for too much, but I would say it's the bare minimum to at least add that they'll work on improving quality in both stores and discuss customers discomfort with the barista. I didn't request refunds or future free drinks, but the mention of improvements would have eased my reluctance to come back. I ordered the classic milk tea and my bf got the coffee milk tea. Some things I noted: 1. The boba definitely tastes home-made and natural, like not even any honey or anything. So the boba itself it's not sweet but it is a good texture and is soft. Also, the boba balls are smaller than usual maybe because it's home-made. 2. The drink itself was pretty meh. I wouldn't order it again. It was pretty bland, but idk when I have boba I like the to have a creamy milk tea flavor with still strong tea flavor if that makes sense. I think MeetFresh at Serramonte makes a good overall milk tea so that's basically what I was comparing it to. 3. I preferred the coffee milk tea over my classic milk tea because atleast the coffee milk tea has way more flavor. The milk tea I got really didn't have any sweetness to it, so I mean that can be a good or bad thing depending on your vibe. Overall!!! I would come back to try other stuff, but would pass on the milk tea. I see the vibe and this place potential. Another plus is their homemade boba, which is nice and chewy and is an off-white color without any added black dyes. My go-to orders are: 1) Mango King (mango smoothie w/ scoop of mango ice cream) 2) Mango Matcha and Passionfruit Matcha Lattes 3) Strawberry Green Tea 4) Coffee Milk Tea Other fun drinks are the avocado smoothie and oolong salted crema and they have staples including Thai Iced Tea, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and Taro. Definitely the best boba spot in Daly City right now if you're willing to pay $1 or so extra for the aesthetic/quality! I've been here twice so far and it's been pretty good! This stop is located next to Boston Market/Big5/In n Out, which makes it super easy to park in the lot. They have a pretty nice menu with milk tea options, especially made with non-dairy creamer for people that are slightly lactose intolerant like me. My first time here, I tried the Almond Tea ($4.50 + 0.75 boba), which I really enjoyed! You could really taste the black tea and the almond syrup wasn't overly sweet even without being able to adjust the sweetness. The boba (which I found out was handmade!) was a really good texture, and surprisingly a white rather than brown color. Would definitely get again! I also stopped by another time post-work on a really hot day. Tried the Mango Summer Tea with boba ($4.50+0.75), and I didn't love that as much. I got half sugar, but the drink was still super super sweet. It was also a little too tart for my liking from the mango puree. The handmade boba this time still had a good texture but was slightly off...the boba was not as round as it should of been, but rather felt like boba chunks. Anyways, all things aside, I would definitely call this my new go-to local boba spot in Daly City. Sure there are better (and slightly cheaper) places if you go to SF or south (San Mateo and beyond), but it's pretty convenient coming here. I also like that they make their own boba, and the tea is pretty good. I've been driving by Bobaville for a while now and have been wanting to give it a try. Decided to give it a go yesterday. There was a line outside but it moved relatively quickly. You place your order at the touchpad kiosk and there is a team of 4-5 staff members busily making all the drinks as the orders come in. I decided to go with the jasmine milk tea with boba while my husband got their passion fruit matcha. Both drinks can be customized with your preferred ice and sweetness level. I loved my jasmine tea - it had the nice aroma of jasmine tea leaves and wasn't overly sweet. You can also tell that they make their boba fresh - it was perfectly sweet and chewy. My husband was relatively happy with his drink but we both agreed that it was a bit on the sweet side. It would have been nice if we could have customized having more matcha and less of the fruit puree in it. read more

I want this place to do well, I'd love to have a decent boba place in Daly City so hopefully they can improve. The place is cute with their neon Bobaville sign making it a great spot to take photos. They have three tables inside but it's more of an order and go type of spot. I tried the mango matcha latte with housemade boba. I was excited for their housemade boba and though I do like the chewy texture of it, it has no flavor to it. They really need to soak it in honey or something. The drink itself was also disappointing. It tasted like milk with a hint of mango. I couldn't taste the matcha whatsoever and if you look at the photo you can see how light green it looks, they definitely need to not skimp and add more matcha to it! I won't be back for a long time but I do really hope they improve. I also noticed a sign that mentioned it's their soft opening & that they'd remake the drinks to our liking, which also equally impressed me! We ordered one avocado smoothie & one classic milk tea 75% sweet. If I were to recommend one, it'd be the avocado smoothie. The milk tea was a little too strong for me. I didn't go and tell them to adjust it because I was in a hurry but it tasted like coffee and caramel, which isn't really my jam (I'm not a coffee drinker). I also noticed that they have handmade boba. The boba is clear colored & sort of taste like caramel?? Maybe it's just me? I'd give a 3 star, but since it's a new place I'll give some leeway. We ordered a jasmine milk tea and a HK milk tea and after about 30 min I was thinking to myself this is taking WAY TOO LONG. People that ordered after us were starting to get their drinks so I went up to the front and asked about our order and it turns out they "lost" our ticket. They apologized and said they'd make it right away but we still waited an extra 10 min for our milk teas. My usual go-tos are matcha lattes or jasmine mt, but I went on a whim and ordered an avocado smoothie with boba... It is soooo good. I could drink it everyday!!! We walked into this Boba shop, and I was so excited seeing the poster on the wall saying how they home-made their Boba/tapioca ball. I was going back-and-forth between their classic milk tea and Hong Kong milk tea, but since I often don't see Hong Kong milk tea offered at other boba shops, I decided to go with that. I asked for full/standard sweetness because I did not want them to skimp on the condensed milk which is the main component in Hong Kong milk tea. When I got my drink, it was unfortunate that the drink was on a less creamy/more watery side, and it tasted like that as well. The full sweetness tasted like 30% sweetness. And their less sweet tasted unsweetened completely. The Boba was nice as it definitely tasted different than that you would typically get from other Boba shops - lighter in color and smaller - but that's probably because they homemade it, which I appreciated. The boba had a nice texture - soft yet chewy - and it was properly sweetened. However, I really did not care for the milk tea. For a total of about $7, I thought that the drink was not worth the price. And too bad the shop doesn't provide any tables or seats, so this might not be the most ideal hangout spot with your friends. We got the roasted oolong salted cream with handmade boba, and we did see a lot of great reviews about the bubbles but honestly they were a little weird for us - half crunchy and half chewy and not very tasty either (not that the normal boba has a lot of flavour) but it was not quite the texture we like.
