Tenderloin sandwich is awesome. So I love fried catfish and breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, image my surprise when I ate this giant of a sandwich. Let's start off with the bun; super fresh and tasty, the mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pickles fit nicely within the confines of the interior of the bun. The tenderloin, however, does not even come close to fitting inside the bun. The tenderloin was breaded with what I think is a catfish/fish cornmeal based breading and deep fried. The size of this tenderloin was actually 2 times the size of the bun. The sandwich came out piping hot and one of the most favorable tenderloins I have had in a while. Great job to Bobbers for keeping great food in their local community.

What a find! We had sampled their tenderloins a couple years ago at the Tenderloin Throwdown in Greensburg (a must see for any tenderloin lovers out there) and decided to check out the restaurant in person. It did not disappoint! Very friendly and attentive staff. It is housed in a former bait shot that looks out over the lake. You can even pick up some bait while you are there! Very clean too. On to the food - delicious!! My husband had the tenderloin and fries and I had the breakfast bowl. Both were generous portions and delicious!

Looking for a nice view and home cooked feeling for food. This is a great place. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice lunch. The service is kind and you feel at home. It's a little off the beaten path but worth a stop. Had the loaded biscuits and gravy. Wife had a nice BLT. It was great.

    Wonderful breaded Tenderloin!

Their food is good, especially gravy & biscuits. Love to sit & relax outdoors beside the lake.

Before the plates even hit the…read moretables, that rich, unmistakable aroma filled the air, the kind of comforting smell that only comes from a true scratch kitchen where real chefs handle real ingredients with absolute respect. I watched as people took their first bites. Forkfuls paused mid-air, conversations instantly ground to a halt, and eyes widened across every table. Jake Burgess and the crew from the Burgess Restaurant Group weren't just catering an event; they were executing a masterclass in craft for a crowd without taking a single shortcut. "You have got to try this," someone blurted out to my left, leaning across the table before even finishing their bite. "I'm tellin' you, Jake and his team don't miss," another replied. "Between FoxGardin, The Den, Bonge's, Carnegie's... it doesn't matter which spot it is, they nail it every single time." Taking it all in, it hit me why they stand so far apart. In a world full of safe, forgettable catering, Jake and the Burgess Restaurant Group served up the kind of deep, craveable food that ruins standard dining for the rest of us. It's the kind of cooking that makes you immediately start planning your next trip to one of their spots before you've even finished the meal in front of you. A massive, heartfelt shoutout to Jake Burgess and the entire Burgess Restaurant Group: FoxGardin Kitchen & Ale, FoxGardin Family Kitchen, The Den, Smoky's Concession Stand, Bonge's Tavern, and Carnegie's. Thank you for keeping us exceptionally well-fed last night!

We weren't going to get an appetizer but the bone marrow fries looked so good in pictures that we had to try them. They did not disappoint. Very large serving and extremely flavorful. Easily an appetizer for 4 or more people (there was only 2 of us so we brought some home). My dining partner is not normally a fries person and she loved these. For entree, my dining partner had today's special which was a shredded chicken sandwich that had a jalapeño cheese sauce and the house chips. She said it was very good and again half the sandwich came home. I had their breaded tenderloin which was very good, with nice breading to meat ratio and was a bit larger than the bun. It came with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. It came ala carte with no sides. Service was excellent, exceptionally friendly and really took care of us. One of the best waiters I've come across. Inside is a bar/pub like feel. We opted to eat in the air condition enclosed "patio" type area which had a bit more light, but was also noisy today due to the tin lined walls/ceiling and another group that was quite loud. Made it a bit hard to converse. Normally don't think this would be an issue. While not tons of items on the menu, the selection was quite varied and you could really splurge on a filet or other such dish and really go all in for a more lavish dinner or have a burger or tenderloin, all at any time of day. Parking was right in front of the restaurant but could see it being a bit tight on a busy day.

This restaurant is new to us, as it wasn't there when we lived in Pendleton many moons ago. We all love an old historic home, so win, win. I was so excited about my flight of mimosas, I didn't get a picture of my omelet, but it was devine. All 4 of my granddaughters wanted the berry waffles and every single one of them devoured their food. My daughter, mother and grandmother ordered different breakfast wraps and we all very pleased. You do have to go up to the register to order and then they bring your food to you. You're asked to bus your own tables into provided bus bins. Very small business feel with a lot of attention to detail and providing a homey yet upscale atmosphere? I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was greatly enjoyed by all.

Very friendly and courteous but his pants and shirt were dirty with food stains. Not a good first impression, for sure. Our waitress came over quickly to take our drink orders and ask if we had any questions about the menu. My wife asked about gluten free (GF) options, and our server promptly brought over a special GF menu Service at this location was excellent, however the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered a three egg omelet with mushroom, tomato and onion, mashed potato with turkey gravy, and fruit cup. Wife ordered baked potato, tomato basil soup, and green beans. The omelet was tasty, but as you can see from the picture, it did not look appetizing. Also, kind of small for a "three egg". The Mash potatoes were the highlight of the meal for me. The fruit cup was awful. yuck. Wife liked the baked potato, but thought the soup and green beans were way too salty. I tried the green beans and had to agree. Ugh.... tasted awful. As you can see from the picture, the soup spoon was dirty, however, the server was quick with a replacement and an apology. In summary, the people who work at this Perkins were friendly funny and attentive and did an excellent job with a pretty good size crowd on a Tuesday afternoon. The food was reasonably priced, but the quality was well below acceptable. We for sure will not be back.

I should have been compensated for the frozen fruit. There is no compensation for stupidity. My next visit if things go wrong again I will walk out. BTW, I told them to keep the $.99. And left no gratuity. The only TIP I have for this so called manager is get a job you're good at. Also there are other waitress that have been wonderful on previous visits.

Since I would miss the activities planned for later that week, we both carved out some time to have a small celebration with just the two of us. It was one of those moments that is good for the soul. Every good story needs a great setting. And the context of our story took place at Lincoln Square in Fortville. It was the perfect middle point between our two homes, so it seemed only natural. I had never been to this location. The birthday girl ordered the decadent Banana Bread French Toast. It is topped with fresh banana slices, pecans, caramel sauce and cinnamon whipped butter! I mean, Jesus, take the wheel! I went with a classic Western omelet. You can tell a lot about a place by how they cook the classics. And Lincoln Square did it right. Plus, my omelet came with hash browns and my choice of toast, pancakes, a biscuit or French toast. I felt like it was my final meal before walking the Green Mile! Everything was delicious. We went a little late for most breakfast crowds, so the diner wasn't very busy. Either way, we had great service and the staff were all very kind. I had the feeling that even if they had been busy, you would still be given excellent service with a smile. Like my coffee mug reminded me, every sip counts. I feel like that is a mantra Lincoln Square holds dear. Side note: I am new Yelper, and I am still trying to get a hang of this taking picture of everything deal. How do you guys do it? Do you ask permission first? I took some pictures of the restaurant and the outdoor signage before going inside. Yet, before I could even get to the front door, the manager came outside to meet me and asked if everything was alright. I explained I was working on a Yelp review, and he was very kind. But it got my heart racing. Can someone educate me on the proper Yelp photo etiquette, please?? TIA
