Great spot in the summer. It's sublime. Food and drinks are good. HOWEVER the layout/ordering is so confusing!! No food orders at the bar so you order at a separate spot across the room (understandable). But if you are eating outside, then you order your food where you can also buy swag. They'll give you a buzzer to come pick up your food, also fine, but watch out if you ordered to eat outside because you have to pick up your food where they take orders for eating inside. read more

Could not recommend more. We are wisconsinites and questioned whether we should get curds because nothing compares to our favorite wisco curds, but Bobber's curds certainly earned their wisconsin title. The burger tasted like my dad made it (in the best way) a thick tasty no frills burger. We took one of the many tables with umbrellas on the patio and enjoyed the view of the lake before tossing a paddleboard in the water at the boat launch right off the Bobber's parking lot. read more

Pretty great campground with plenty of clean space, good bar food, cold drinks, and a beautiful view. Great live music for memorial day weekend. The bathroom situation is less than ideal, especially on busy weekends. Plenty of patio seating. It's good for all ages. read more

The wife and I was looking for a great place to eat outside because it was such a beautiful day out. We had heard of Bobber's Grill and decided to give it a try. It is located in an RV park on a picturesque peninsula on Coralville Lake. The view from their outside seating was beautiful. Unfortunately, while there was a large amount of outside seating, they apparently do not have staff that serves patrons who choose to sit/eat outside. I had to go inside and ask for a menu. Then go back inside to order our food and drinks. They gave me a pager to let me know when our order was ready, and then I had to go back inside to carry our food/drink to our table. I ordered the Beer batter cod with fries and my wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger, also with fries. I ordered a margarita from the bar. The bar looked like it was set up to serve you just about anything you could want, and the bartender was friendly, knowledgeable and made a great tasting drink. Unfortunately, it was $6 for a 12oz clear solo cups worth. The cod was not much to talk about. Basically four moderate sized deep fat fried fish sticks. For about a dollar more I could have had the Catfish dinner at Texas Roadhouse which is delicious. The fries were OK. Like the Ore Ida ones you make at home. My wife's burger she rated a 5/10. It was a $12 burger. You could definitely find many places that serve a better burger for less. So, if your out boating or staying at the RV park and are looking for some cold drinks and/or some warm fried food, Bobber's Grill may hit the spot. Or if your looking for a place to have some adult beverages at a place with a killer view, you could do way worse. But if your looking for a nice meal at a semi reasonable cost, I might suggest you keep looking. read more

We came here for late lunch in July. The food is just typical bar food so nothing to write home about. If you're eating outside, the food needs to be ordered inside and picked up at the same place. The staff at the food window is very friendly. Drinks have to be ordered at the bar and the bar staff is very unfriendly. They have lots of beers to choose from. The outside seating area has a lot of shaded places, which is nice. However, a lot of the patrons were loud and drunk. We probably won't be back unless we are starving while out on the lake. They allow dogs on the patio, which is a plus. read more

One of my favorite parts of road tripping is finds gems such as this one. One of the best lake bars in the country in my humble opinion. Lake Macbride is a blast, and it's awesome to have a bar on it to enjoy some good music and tasty libations. The bar food is simple but very good and perfectly fried. They have different themed party's every weekend, from May to September. I will be back, very impressed! read more

I honestly can't complain about our weekend trip out to bobbers. We stayed last weekend in the rain and all and had a great time. The campground with the Iowa rains the ground is saturated so there was standing water in a lot of areas in the grass. The bar and grill was great food was great and the drinks were cheap. Having soo many things for kids to do up at the bar was great also. They had chalk, coloring pages, and games for the kids. Out on the patio wish music had been playing but they had bag boards for you to use and a larger area to walk around. It over looked the water and was very clean! Can't wait to return I'm not sure what weekend but we will go back! The crew working was also all very friendly and checked on your frequently enough but not too much which was perfect! read more

First and last time at this place, food was not good and waaay over priced. The women's restroom room smelled like an outhouse. Our server was very friendly though and nice view of the water. I wish I could post a photo I took of the USMC flag that was displayed hanging by one grommet. If nothing else at least fix that, so disprespectful. read more

Spending $125 on the ramp fee is pretty pricey, but we anticipated that the amenities would make it worthwhile. Bought the pass, early in the afternoon and then went back to Bobbers after we had finished boating. Waited 5 minutes before my companion had to go up to the bar to be served for a drink. THERE WAS 6 PEOPLE THERE! We were hoping to get dinner, but they stop earlier than we anticipated. That's not why they're getting one star. If we sit down at a table, and they're still serving drinks, for another 35 minutes, check on us!!!!! Otherwise, close early!!!!!!!!!! We had NUMEROUS workers look at us and never come ask us if we needed anything. I'm not even 3 miles away from this place and I could've easily went there for a drink. Truly hoping this was a fluke but step it up!! read more

A little spendy, there was 5 of us, 4 had two drinks and one had a pop, we got two 14" pizza's a Taco and Meat our bill was $76.00. But it's pretty much one of the only place to get food when your boating. The service was was and friendly! If your out on the lake and hungry this is the place to go! read more

Bobbers is a great place to go watch an Iowa State Football Game. They have a fun fishing Bobber theme ( which subtley has a double meaning). I recommend the Spicy Chili Wings. And when it's chilly outside nothing hits the spot more than their Bailys with Hot Chocolate! read more

Service was kind, but the cook couldn't keep up with business. We left after 30 minutes with no food in sight & lots of folks ahead of us.

Went with friends for taco Tuesday. 15min to get our drinks, 1hr to get our food. The portions from taco to taco was noticably different. But the worst part was sitting there watching the cook in the kitchen pull off his baseball cap and dig his other hand into his scalp over a dozen times. Never washing and no gloves. One time with hat in hand he waved over food waiting on the shelf pointing at food while explaining what was what to the waitress. The entire staff are too lax and inexperienced. I am not the most picky person, but this place needs a wakeup call and a health inspector to camp out there for a while. read more
