My friend and I decided to go to Bobbiques on a Friday night since we had been patrons there before and always had a nice time. This sadly was not the case this previous Friday. Apparently you can no longer seat yourself there (I have been going to this place for years and have NEVER seen a hostess or a "please wait to be seated" sign.) My friend and I sat ourselves, as normal, and a girl named Sarah came to our table and was to start off extremely rude. Sarah asked us if we were ordering food when we sat down and then followed by because you must order food to sit here. Before we could respond, she went on to tell us that we should not have sat ourselves and there were people waiting. (I'm sorry, I am being reprimanded because YOU were not in front of the dining room like you should have been since you are the hostess?) She also told me I was wrong for sitting down at a table on my own, and made me feel unwelcome. I have been in this business for over 10 years an have never been spoken to in this way. It was atrocious. Our server apologized for her actions, but it I just unacceptable. I am Johnson & Wales Alum as well as the owner of this joint. I asked to meet Eric, the owner, and speak with him but told he was busy. About 45 min later I saw him on the floor and he did not even come over to greet me. I have been in this industry for several years and would never speak to someone like this. Let alone would I nor anyone else want to be spoken to in that matter. I was really disappointed about Bobbiques. However, our waitress Lauren was pleasant and knowledgeable. She is a keeper, unlike this wannabe hostess Sarah. I typically would write something else that was good about my experience at this point of my entry, but my experience was so terrible there I will NOT be back. There are plenty of other great places on LI where the staff is pleasant and the food and beer selection is just as good and/or even better. Sorry Eric, you should know better. read more

I wrote a letter to Bobbique about my visit... My husband and I recently visited your Restaurant, Bobbique, for the first time. I requested a salad instead of the 2 sides to go with a rack of ribs but I was told I could not do that. If my husband had not been with me I would have left without buying anything. Instead I bought a chopped salad . The reason we go to a restaurant is so we can have what we want to eat without the work of cooking 2 meals. I don't mind paying extra when I order something extra or different, but I will not eat somewhere that I am informed "I can't have that". I went away unhappy and you lost money. It was a no win situation. I just thought you might like to know how I feel. I have worked in customer service for over 30 years and I know for every person who complains there are at least 100 more people who don't voice their complaints and it is cheaper to keep a customer than to acquire a new customer. We do not substitute sides for a salad, there is a side salad for 3.95 that is large enough as an appetizer. Visited Bobbique yesterday and was not pleased at all. Ordered chicken fingers that were hard and almost confused as to what they battered them in.... I also ordered the Southeren Banana Pudding...there were three crackers placed nicely on the top of the pudding as a garnish... But there were about two cookies in the layers of the pudding and the bananas were non-existent. I was not happy with the food at all. The Strawberry Fruili was the best part of my meal. read more

So, went there yesterday for Father's Day about 4 pm and got one of the last open tables. Took a few minutes for a waitress to come by then about 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive after we ordered. I ordered the ribs expecting one the best I've ever had. NOT! The first think my Son noticed they were burnt looking. They were under cooked and a little pink. Really??!!! In a supposedly authentic smoke-house barbecue joint? Sent em right back and got a pulled pork sandwich as typical as any other I have ever had. Soooooo disappointed with the ribs. Did they run out of them and think they could serve me a quickie boil and broil job! Doubtful I will return. :( read more

Catered in, food hot & delicious. Loved by everyone at party. Chicken juicy, ribs just enough bite & pull right off bone, pulled pork delish not too spicy, sides were great mac& cheese yummy, collard greens tangy with a bit of a kick. I've been here a few times over the past couple of years and have never been overly impressed. The waitstaff if horrible. Rude waitresses that act as if you are bothering them by dining here. Came here for lunch last year with friends and our waitress told us she was hungover and didn't feel like being there, that should have been when we got up and left because it was all down hill from there. As she brought our food over to the table she would just plop it down in front of us and walk away without saying a word.Never came back to ask us if everything was ok or to see if any of us wanted another beer....she just disappeared into hangover land. We couldn't get out of there quick enough.Food is ok but nothing great. These days you can get pulled pork almost anywhere, so why go someplace where your getting treated like crap. Catering order was perfect, packed well, hot, ready on time. So easy to work with Jenna. The food was fantastic and all of our guests went back for seconds. Fried shrimp and pulled chicken went very quick. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit for dinner! read more

Great meal! Was there on Saturday, got in around 6:45, there was a wait but the hostess was very accommodating and made sure we got seated as we were heading over to Patchogue Theater for a show. Everyone was friendly and courteous, our server knew we were in a hurry - nice to see communication between staff during a pretty seriously crowded evening. Food was amazing. I got the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese - both really good. My friend got the chicken and ribs combo with fries. The St Louis ribs were AWESOME! I'm not a rib gal, but I would go back just for those ribs...so good! Atmosphere was a little noisy, but not too overwhelming. Perfect for a Sat night out. The bar crown was lively, dining room packed, a band setting up. This is a great place to have fun, eat, hang at the bar after. read more

This local place is even lovlier when it's a little quieter than with their band music on the weekends. They have a great selection of craft beers and staff is lovely. Food is excellent and plentiful. No nonsense aluminum platters with oversized portions of great pulled pork, ribs, etc. Its not the most authentic barbeque place but a welcome breath of fresh air in Patchogue's recently oversaturated late night restaurant and bar scene. Cant say enough about the potato salad. Their wings are outstanding. Fresh and nearly six inches long, per piece. The best wings on Main Street. A great place to hang out and meet locals. read more

We stopped here on Memorial Day, wanting to try something new in the area since we both had the day off... we were not disappointed! Food was great. I had the Bobbi burger- it was ginormous, couldn't even finish it. It was so delicious; nicely cooked beef, pulled pork, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato. Yum. I was also pleased I could upgrade my fries to cheese fries (my favorite). My, my, delicious. My boyfriend got the pulled pork platter & loved it... though he was in his happy place thanks to their excellent craft beer selection. We tried the fried Pickles appetizer, I found it to be fresh & tasty, the batter reminds me of homemade fish fries back home. We will definitely be coming back! PS- servers were even short when we got there, but they handled it very well! read more

The pulled pork and beer selection are excellent. We also like the fried pickles. This is one of our favorite Long Island restaurants, and they have some good music as well. The only time I was not impressed by Bobbique was when ordering off the Mardi Gras menu. I'm from Louisiana, and did not find the food on that menu to be authentic. However, BBQ is bobbique's specialty, and they do that very well! read more

When this place first opened it was an easy 4 star establishment. We've been twice in the last 2 months or so and it's gone really downhill. I'm so sad to say it but it's not really an option anymore. Why? First, the brisket is now chopped which makes me think it's not made daily. Why can't you get sliced brisket at a BBQ place? Strange change. Second, when the food was very good the aloof and unsmiling servers were bare able. I'm a waitress currently and I truly don't need my ass kissed, but on every occasion we've marveled at the lack of warmth coming from the server staff. Third, the rest of the food along with the brisket is declining rapidly. The Mac and cheese is glorified kraft, the grilled shrimp was meh, and the ribs were bone dry last time. I feel so bad that this is where it's gone but last time we went, we decided we most likely wouldn't be back unless it's determined by my yelp stalking that things have improved. Maybe someone's experience will convince me to return. Sad. read more

Beer amazing.... Never to many IPAs. This Rifkin kid is rolling into his 10th year, well deserved looking forward to 10 more. The corner stone for craft beer in Patchogue. Many bar restaurant followed but this place is where it started for me. Oh ya the BBQ...... solid, also the house burger is off the charts. Not to mention Ruben can make a hot wing sizzle. Went on a Tuesday night, it was slightly busy but not packed. My party of 4 was sat at a booth right next to the bar where the only light was from the street lights outside. It took our server at least 10 minutes to greet us, but by the looks of it there was only 2 servers on so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. When she finally greeted us we asked if she could raise the lights a little and then placed our orders. I asked about a drink I had a while back which our server informed me isn't on the drink menu anymore but they could make for me. After ordering we sat for a good 10 minutes until we received our drinks and another 20 minutes until the food arrived with no attention from our server, or lights on at our table. When the food did arrive we asked our server about he lights again and she did make it brighter for us. The food was very good but in my opinion a couple things were very sweet ( the collard greens and bbq sauce). Overall the food was good and at the right price range for what it was but the service was spotty and could be improved on. read more

The tablecloth reminded me of the paper that you would find at a doctor's office accompanied by paper towels found in a custodial closet. My pulled pork entree was good but the "side" of mac-and-cheese was in a dish a little larger than a shot glass. The service was good but I would not bring a date here. read more

Have been here many times because their chicken wings, sweet potato fries, pulled pork and beer selection are excellent. However, the high top tables and chairs are too close together and you can introduce yourself to the people sitting next to you because they are inches away from you. Also, there has never been a time the chairs didn't feel like they were going to break or the table was stable. I am not a large person but feel so unsafe on those high top chairs and always wait for one of the tables in the back now. Waitress staff has always been on point and, like I said, will go back because of the food. read more

This place was awful!! The music sucked! Some type of hard rock..not music to eat by, that's for sure.The waitress had an attitude and spoke to me like I was a kid. This place used to be pretty good. It has gone way downhill. The food was edible although barely, it was not clean at all, dirty floors, dirty tables, etc. and the nasty wench named Sarah that dealt with us was terrible.
