Bobby Byrne's feels like a go-to for locals, and we came with one--so we got the full neighborhood pub experience. The atmosphere is cozy with that dimly lit, classic pub vibe, and there's cute indoor and outdoor seating. It's conveniently located near lots of shopping, so great for a casual night out after errands or beach time. Service was... hit or miss. Unless you're sitting at the bar, be prepared to channel your inner server and stay patient. I had to ask for a water multiple times before it showed up--and when it was finally refilled, it sat at the bar long enough that I kept an eye on it like a hawk to make sure it didn't get rerouted. It's clear they were short-staffed, but still a little frustrating. Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. My boyfriend's surf and turf (steak tips + crab cake) was solid, cooked just right with good sides. His uncle crushed a burger with no complaints. I went seafood one last time before leaving the cape and got the crab cakes--portion was generous, but the outside was super thick and over-fried, more like a fritter than a delicate cake. Fries were solid--crispy and full of the "end of day" fry bits that are low-key delicious. The pasta salad surprised me--in a good way. I'm usually not a mayo fan, but it was light, flavorful, and loaded with veggies. Drinks were a bright spot--a solid mix of domestic and local drafts, and surprisingly decent wine options at great prices. Whether you're a beer-lover or just want a casual pour of rosé, there's something for everyone without breaking the bank. It's not a cocktail lounge, but for a pub, the beverage game holds its own. Overall, I wouldn't steer anyone away from Bobby Byrne's, especially for classic pub fare and a cold beer. Just maybe skip the seafood and lean into the tavern-style eats--and if service is slow, pace yourself and order your next drink before you finish your first.

I'd never been here before, but some local Cape friends consider it a favorite spot. To be honest, it was a bit underwhelming. I had the Friday Fish Fry special--a haddock sandwich with haddock chowder and macaroni salad. My sandwich was pretty good as far as the filet went, though the lettuce and tomato were limp and not entirely fresh. The chowder was thin and sort of flavorless. The macaroni salad wasn't a fav either. My friends seemed to enjoy their choices. Perhaps I just chose poorly. It wasn't super-crowded since we were there about 2:30pm. The bar seemed to have more action going on. I realize BB's is a pub, but for my dining dollars at Mashpee Commons, I prefer spending them at Estia or Siena.

First the pros: service is great, chicken bites are top notch. For a place that literally says they are an Irish pub, how can you: -Serve Guinness in a small, random glass (see picture). It's embarrassing that they don't serve a proper pint and pour in the correct manner. -No beef stew on the menu? -No Shepherd's pie either? I live quite close but never go here because of the aformentioned reasons and the fact most of the other food is frozen or packaged (fries, onion rings, guacamole, salsa).

    Surf and turf. Delicious

Nice spot nestled in the mashpee Commons. Staff was relatively nice and the chicken parm was 10 out of 10. Delicious.

He had told…read moreus how much fun Cisco Brewery was, and that they have great bands...so we Ubered up there on a Saturday. We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. We got some drinks, checked out the space and eventually we were able to snag some chairs under the tent. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. There was a dance area in front of the stage and people definitely used it - so there was great people watching in a super fun setting!

What a great venue -- almost don't wanna write this because I feel like there's a hidden gem here…read moreto be tucked away for myself and only shared with friends. But I'm writing this to help support the kind of business we need here on Cape Cod. And to provide a little kind and constructive feedback. It's a beautiful open wooden A-frame kind of feel with a cool loft and outside "porch" kind of space that would work in any season. The pizza was solid. The beer was excellent if a little pricy. The review of the meatball sub from friends was "it's good." Cheese board was enormous and could feed a whole soccer team and the Pretzel is generic, store bought and not recommended. The service was a little weird -- instead of getting a waiter, you just have to kinda fend for yourself -- initially it seemed like just an online menu but they do have printed menus. Seems like a missed opportunity to have a server actually wait the tables, make recommendations and earn a tip. Instead it's a hodgepodge of food runners and no real direction what to order. And the strangest part was I had a conversation with one of these folks and she was so terrific and kind I wished she'd waited on us! Anyways, in conclusion ambiance =5. Food and drink = 4. Service =3 (not the fault of the servers -- just a whacky service plan.) overall 4. Thank you!
