This place is great!!!! Happy Hour is on point from 2pm-6pm with beef sliders and those delicious shoe string fries, to brisket taco and nachos. Love Bobby Q's ! This is a very upscale BBQ restaurant and can get a little pricey. Great cool atmosphere. They do have lunch time deals which are much cheaper than the night time menu and I like getting the Prime Brisket. Bobby Q's also has a great Happy Hour with discounted drinks and appetizers. So disappointing! I wanted to eat here so bad, driving by it smells so good. I ordered the hog heaven, my brisket had no char, and so much fat I had barely any edible meat. The ribs were so tough with barely any meat on them, I gave them to my dog. The pulled pork was a 4, it was good, but again where is the char? The q rolls are a 5, amazing. I wish they plated with that same quality of brisket, the corn bread was delicious a 5, but we didn't get it until our entre. The mac and cheese , it needs pepper, salt, some flavor, if it wasn't so bland it could have been 5 it's a solid 3. Fruit flies were a plenty, killing bugs is not high on my list of things to do before digging in (we were sitting inside). Our waitress wasn't always around when we needed her, but she was nice enough, took way too long to place our orders, get drinks, and common water refills should be a no brainer. The baked potato was huge, the toppings did not match the size of potato, but the waiter did give us more upon request. I do wish the cook was on line checking the quality before it hits the table though. No quality control! All in all I would not come back here again. There's better bbq out there. read more

Had the Southern or chicken fried chicken used to be 2 sides for $19 now just one side and a tiny size of corn is $4. Pulled pork sandwich and potato salad sandwich is $15. Was fatty meat. We walked in to be seated and the host was very rude she said they closed at 9 and if we were seated we were going to have to hurry to order this was at 8:40 she took ten minutes and were still standing waiting for her to come back. I'm not sure how I've never heard of this place before. All five in our party had great meals with lots leftover for tomorrow's lunch. My baby back ribs were absolutely excellent although I wish there was an option for a bbq sauce with a little more kick. The beer selection was solid with lots of local and other favorites on tap. The reports of donuts cannot be confirmed because I guess the machine was out of order. I'm kind of bummed that there was nothing offered to make up for that but it's just the way things go sometimes. Best ribs ever! The service was phenomenal and the food just as good. We called for reservations which helped us not have to wait when we arrived as it was a weekend evening. Their wedge salad was huge and a good size for sharing if it is not your entree. The take home donuts are good but definitely best if eaten the same night. We love BBQ and eat it often. There's a decent number of places to get great meat in the Phoenix area, so it's a competitive market. Bobby's meat doesn't cut it for us. We ordered the Whole Hog Heaven so we could taste 4 different meats. The St Louis and baby back ribs were top notch and delicious; 5 stars. Meaty, moist, tasty. We also got the brisket and pulled pork as well. Both were 1 star - lots of gristle, big globs of fat, and mealy - grainy texture. They were inedible. The service was terrific and efficient, but the place was empty. There's a reason the AZ Republic food critic didn't list this place in his top BBQ joints. read more

Late yesterday afternoon my boyfriend and I decided we had a hankering for BBQ, so.we decided to try Bobby Q. The place looked terrific on the inside and the aroma of the meat wasc intoxicating. Our lovely server was named Ashland. Besides being pretty and delightful, she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the Q-rolls (brisket with a pastry wrap) for an appetizer. OMG! I've never experienced anything so delicious! We ended up choosing baby back ribs and the meat just fell off the bone and was so tender and juicy... The corn bread was out of this world! Ashland wanted to give us a sample of what the brisket tasted like so she brought us three or four slices because I was determined to have brisket on my next visit. Let's just say my former mother-in-law used to make the best brisket on the planet. Not anymore! The service was superb and the food was amazing! At the end of the meal we had four mini donuts to take home with us. The female manager came by our table and asked us how our meal was and we raved about it plus the service. As we left the hostesses thanked us for coming. An hour after we got home we decided to try the donuts. All I can tell you is I haven't stopped thinking about that meal since. It wasn't just about having a meal out, it was a dining experience... A lot of other restaurants could learn from them. read more

Empty drinks, no plates when corn bread was FINALLY brought to table Had to ask a manager for them but he did not follow up on service. First time in 6 visits to this restaurant that a manager has not approached our table to ask about our experience. No offer for alcoholic drink refills. I really enjoyed a special night out with Husband, we loved the theme of the restaurant, our waiter Garrett was fantastic, easy going, very knowledgeable of the menu, and was very attentive. The food was fantastic! I ordered the Prime Rib, I later laughed about the fact that I came to a BBQ house and order Prime Rib! I was blown away! I asked to have it seared on both sides and it was fantastic. I loved the sides. Husband ordered the 2 Rib dish, Beef and pork ribs, they were so Yummy. And the Corn bread, Little disks of heaven. We also ordered the artichoke, spinach, and chipotle cheese dip, WOW, too good for words. In the end we were handed a little bag of LOVE, wee doughnuts. We recently had our company's Christmas party here. They had a whole patio reserved for us. It was private and they had heaters to keep us plenty warm. In fact, we had to ask them to turn a couple off. They had two servers assigned to us who were very attentive and mostly present. The food was delicious!!! Best cornbread I have ever had and the barbecued meat was very tasty. We had a great time and everything was very reasonably priced.
