This shop is in league with LA Auto Choice right down the street. Aram at Auto Choice walked me over to Bobby's, praising Bobby as the person who did the work on my newly purchased used car from Auto Choice. The brakes were making noise less than a month after sale. Bobby smiled and feigned helpfulness in front of Aram, then blew me off the next day. He fixed nothing and refused to discuss what was wrong with the brakes, saying I bought the car, too bad. The 5 stars here are fake. Beware. Especially women. Great service. I failed my smog check so I went to several suggested automotive repair centers. 1st place I went to, the tech wasn't there. The 2nd one wanted to charge me $75 just to diagnose the problem and would take several hours. I then went to Boby. He fixed it in 3 mins with no charge since it was a easy fix. After my car breaks needed to be replaced, I was a little hesitant about finding a good honest mechanic to fix them. I searched on Yelp for a place close to my work and found BOBBY'S AUTO CENTER. I brought the car at 11:00 thinking I would probably need to leave the car over night and perhaps rent a car for the day, said it will be ready to pick up at 2:30 same day. To my surprise the car was ready at 2:00 same day. honest about my brakes and told me they had to fix only the rear brakes, I still had about 15K miles to use with the front brakes. He even offered me free soda when I was in the waiting room about to get my car. This place became my shop for brakes and auto repair. I definitely will recommend it to friends and family. read more

Ray is the best mechanic! So I had an oil change at Glendale Lube because they gave a coupon. They also offered "Free" brakes check every Friday; HOWEVER, beware because that place is a trickster! The guy there who checked my brakes told me I needed my front rotors and brake pads changed and he was gonna charge me $240. Once Ray checked my car, I was surprised as he told me my rotors did not even need changing? He just changed my brakes and resurfaced the rotors for waaaay less than the other guy's quote. Lesson learned: Ray is my trusted mechanic for about 5yrs now and I will not go with any other mechanic. He is honest and does the best work in town! read more

Still love Boby's Auto. Hriy (Ray) has been so helpful over the years. He has serviced a BMW, a Kia and a Prius for us and has been super knowledgable for all three. He is honest and lets us know what does (and maybe most importantly, does not!) need to be done. He's friendly to children and always gets our cars taken care of so quickly. This is a super easy spot to take your car for a smog test, oil change, or something major. It's so rare to find an auto mechanic you can trust but I'm really glad we know about this place. Plus, it's right by The Patio and Auntie Em's, so you could potentially drop your car off, get lunch, and pick it up when it's done (depending on what needs to happen, obviously).
