Although I previously would have had no issue leaving a five-star rating, I could no longer do so. Recently, I had some collision repair work done by Bob and his team. Costing a couple thousand, I was expecting my vehicle to come back looking like it did before my accident, and I didn't see any issues at first. I eventually came to find three issues: my window tint had been scratched, my replacement headlight was fogging up on the inside and the new headlight had a gap between the fender and bumper where there previously wasn't one. When I went to replace a bulb in the new headlight after it went out, I saw just how far off the headlight was from where it should be. I'm surprised the bolts holding the plastic in place didn't break off the headlight given how much force was needed to put it back in place. Furthermore, it shouldn't have had any issues fitting in place. All of the work that was done collision wise had to do around that headlight, as that was the point of impact, so if there was a fitment issue, the proper adjustment should have been made for it to easily fit. Although I brought all of these concerns up to the owner, they were all dismissed, with the exception of the window tint, and he (the owner) told me that he would pay for it, but that I should expect to pay "full price" on all work he does in the future, in reference to a discount he gave me when I first had work done by him. I am extremely disappointed, as I had never had any previous issues and had always been satisfied with the work performed, but now, I'm afraid I will have to find a new mechanic and collision specialist. read more

I would not recommend anyone going there for service. They do not honor the manufacturer warranties for the parts used on your vehicle. They stipulate their warranty which is way less than the manufacturer warranty. I think the reason for this is that they put in used parts on your vehicle and say its new. Added to that they are not customer oriented. This is one of the worse customer service that I have ever seen. If you go there then you are taking a huge risk. This guy bob is a crook. I had my car in from hitting a driveshaft on the freeway and did some suspension and under carriage damage. Insurance paid him for some new and old parts but he put all used parts. I went out and purchased the tire and wheel myself to speed up the process because they were not factory wheels and ins paid him for both but didn't reimburse me for the $100 tire. The undercarriage damage was covered up with some kind of rubberized epoxy which he didn't even pull out the dent. Insurance agreed driveshaft did the damage but bob says a jack did it. Then he tells me to never come back. Even if it's warranty work. This was the 2nd time I had brought my car to him for repairs so I checked his work from the 1st time and also found other mistakes and poor workmanship. FYI, THIS SHOP IS NOT AAA APPROVED LIKE IT SAYS ON HIS WINDOW. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY! read more

I see completed work from auto shops all around the State of Texas and I can say that the work done at Bob Lapole's shop is of the highest quality. I have met Bob and he is easy to work with and handles his business as a professional should. This professionalism shows in the detail of their work. Bob was nice. He was respectful. The lady at the front counter was rude. She had an attitude , when I asked to speak to bob because I was spoke to him over the phone about my car. She then took a big huff and puff about having to get up to tell bob I was there. Very very rude , bob was cool but won't be back. read more

BEWARE, Bob's auto repair is a bait and switch shop, after leaving a vehicle their for 3 days to get an estimate, we recd one , I met with Bob Lapole the owner to discuss, we agreed on the price , after shaking hands and thanking him for the help we left . He asked us to prepare the car for the work, it was both mechanical repair and some paint, we brought the car to his shop the day requested, he did not provide the quote on business letterhead as requested, and said he would not do the work agreed, after telling us on the Friday before to bring the car in on Monday. Beware, if I had not insisted on an updated quote on letterhead , versus the toilet paper he provided us, he would have tried to raise the price once he had the car. After meeting other dissatisfied customers, I am so glad we decided to not allow him to work on our special car. Caviat Emptor, Latin for LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!! It's nice to know that there are still honest mechanics out there! Bob LaPole (the owner) is super friendly and knowledgeable. Being a woman, it's easy for shops to think they can take advantage. However, when I took my Infiniti in for 30k mile maintenance, an oil change, and a check for squeaky breaks... he just informed me that the rotors needed to be cleaned and no new breaks needed. After getting quotes from several auto body shops, I stopped at Bob's Auto. He had been recommended by a friend of my wife and I wanted to incude him in the bidding. I had minor damage to the front of my Tacoma. All the body shops except Bob's included in their bids the cost to replace the damaged pieces. All bids exceeded $1000. Bob's Auto said they might possibly repair the damage by warming the dented pieces and returning them to their original shape. Not having to replace the parts saved me over $300! I would recommend Bob's because they are conservative, meaning they look to save you money by actually repairing your damage instead of replacing all the dented pieces. read more

I took my 2007 Jeep Commander in after reading great reviews about Bob. My AC had totally crapped out rendering my car completely undriveable in the Houston summer when commuting 80+ miles a day. Quickly dropped it off in the morning and Bob was able to diagnose the issue - nearly a $1300 condenser repair. He still charged the freon and did a few more checks and let me know those should hold me over until the condenser is repaired. I'll definitely be bringing any of my vehicles back for great service and honest work from Bob. read more

I was happy when finding a coupon in the mail to get an all-in-one oil change, 15 point inspection and tire rotation for only $19.95. Little did I know that this place apparently is notorious for conning people! They changed my oil and then the owner told me that the nuts to my left front rim were bolted shut and could not be removed, therefore declining to rotate my tires... He then added quickly that for only $250.00 he could cut the bolts off the rim and reconstruct the wheel... I asked him how the bolts could have gotten stuck like that and he answered; the last place that rotated your tires must have reversed the motion of the electric wrench when putting the wheels back on, consequently causing the threads to get screwed up. I told him that this is impossible while my tires had been rotated previously only by the dealership and that I highly disbelieve his explanation to be true. Apparently, this statement really pissed the guy off... He started to get very hostile and implemented that I was accusing him of the wrongdoings. In awe of his childish behavior, I quickly paid and left... 5 months later, I went back to the dealership who confirmed my suspicions of Bob's faulty business practices. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
