I try to eat here at least once a month, if you haven't been it's a must TRY! been coming here since I was a boy, now I'm in my thrities and bobs still doing it just the way I remember after all these years. don't be scared by the 10 or 12 dollar price tag, 9 out of 10 times you won't be disappointed. only one time has the meat been dry and that was during a rush period so I can understand that. steak fries and a pickle spear slice with every order. they also have kids meals for your young ones, just in case they don't like the hoagy or cheese steaks. The location of this restaurant seems so sketch whenever I go here but the food is totally worth it. It's a mom & pop shop that's been around ever since I can remember. The owners are very nice and friendly. I still remember getting food here when I was in high school. The food has been consistent and nothing has really changed that's probably why I still continue to return here to this day. I typically get a hoagie steak with added mushrooms. The sandwich comes with steak, cheese, grilled onions (drool), lettuce and tomatoes with a side of steak fries. They cook it in the front and you pay for your meal after your done eating. Surprisingly owned by an old Korean couple, this little spot tucked into the corner of a small shopping center has the most mouth-watering cheese steak EVER. Very good meat-to-bread ratio in every bite. Prices are more than affordable and reasonable for the quality and amount you get out of it. Dined here with my fam and it was very good! Idk how many times I've drove past this place, but never stopped to try it out. Glad I finally did!! I really enjoyed it, but I only gave 4 stars because I wish I got more fries with my meal and I also like everything on it... rather than having to choose the mushroom sandwich, bell pepper sandwich, etc. instead, you have to pay extra to add each additional topping. As a kid growing up, I've always eaten and loved Cheesesteaks. I grew up in Fremont, and they used to have "The Cheesesteak Shop" at the Fremont Hub. Then it went out of business. I had no clue about this place. Years later, they started popping back up again. One in Castro Valley was one of the first I noticed, then they built one in Hayward off A Street. A close friend of mine one day told me about Bob's Hoagy's on Mission/Industrial. I went there and ordered a cheesesteak with everything. This was the first time I ever ate one with lettuce, tomato, & mayo. Man, I was in heaven. What I like about this place is it's different from The Cheesesteak shop. To be honest, if I had to choose one, I would pick Bob's first. The place is family owned, and they've had the same cook there for years. They also have another sister store in Fremont on Fremont Blvd next to Peralta Ave. That place is good too, but I like the Industrial one better. read more

This place is by no stretch a philly steak place but damn it if they aren't good. They have a really good steak sandwich And the guy who was running the restaurant was incredibly nice. If you want a good steak sandwich come here but make sure you ask for extra cheese and get fried and fresh onions (if your into onions of course) and trust me you won't be disappointed. Our beloved Bob's Hoagy in Fremont closed last year so we started coming here. This place has been around forever but we didn't need to venture out since we had our own. So far we have been here 5 times and it's been delicious every time. They work fast and the food is fresh. No salad bar like the Fremont location but they do have salad options. Love this place. Been going here for a decade already. Always satisfied and great service. We are definitely regulars here as the ENTIRE family knows us when we walk in and know our orders already. But today, was very disappointing. Brought my son and nephew to eat and ordered our normal. But a new arabic guy cooked and gave me fries that were not normal. Everyone else's fries were good size portion. Mine were broken/burned pieces about 1/2inch?!? No potato just fried oil. But more importantly the portion was like 7-8pieces. When I saw the owner Bob I asked him if I can get different fries and he told me that fries are cooked for each order like normal. But the new guy gave me left over crumbs that weren't even equivalent to the normal portion. I cant believe Bob made a big deal out of it. I told him and reminded him of how frequent we go here and never has it been like that. I showed and pointed to the other customers fries who HE cooked and packed it for and told him to look and compare mine that the ARABIC guy MADE for me from theirs. He apologized BUT REFUSED still. I WAS SHOCKED. I told him: "its okay forget it don't worry about it. I just thought you would understand and accommodate me since we are regulars." Would've even paid the extra $1-2 to buy another fries just to get normal portion. I told him how long I've been going here and bringing my family here 2-3 times a month BUT THIS WILL BE MY LAST." I could tell it bothered him and you would think he would make up for it. But i guess he was penny pinching. Felt bad too because his wife who is so nice to us heard everything but she couldn't do anything for us. When i stopped eating my food I went outside to cool down and waited for my family to finish so I can pay. As I was paying, he felt bad and tried to explain. But I wasn't having it and just very shocked and disappointed. I respectfully disagreed and reminded him about everything. I told him "that you would risk losing a regular customer, who goes here often and spends $30-$40 per visit with family, ALL over $1-2?!?!?!?!" Pro: tasty sandwiches! Cons: poor atmosphere, extra charge for using card, extra charge for refills. Popped in here for the first time the other night because of the yelp reviews. I'll just be frank. You most likely don't want to dine in. They charge for each refill and the inside is cluttered and feels dirty. The nice way to phrase it is that it has a "mom and pop feel" as people are fond of saying. But that's really just a way of saying a place is small, dirty, decorated poorly/tacky, uninviting, etc. They charge extra for using a debit/credit card and for drink refills too. Who does that? Card use, maybe. But refills? Only the cheapest of the cheap. On a more positive note, I thought my hoagy sandwich was delicious, and the wedge fries were good too. Even despite the cons, I would come back to this place to get a sandwich to-go if I happened to have cash on me, because what matters the most at the end of the day is the taste and quality of the food.
