This is within a food truck on the corner of Ala Moana and Ward. There's lots of free parking in the lot. There are also lots of tables in the area. Some of which are semi-private. Pizzas are made from scratch and cooked in a brick oven. But because the crust is thin you do not wait long. The margarita is our favorite. The Quattro formaggio has blobs of I think whipped blue cheese. I don't mind it but my 22-year-old thought it was too pungent and overbearing for a cheese pizza. I agree that it has a super strong taste and I'm glad they only put a little blobs on each cut. She also doesn't like olives which I gladly scooped and consumed. The pizzas are on the pricier side maybe due to the rent? This isn't something that we would have often when craving a pizza but it is a nice treat when in the area and being by the harbor. Based on the rating, I tried their pizza out last week for dinner. It was a nice evening and took a stroll over to the marina. They were out of the pizza I wanted to try (meat lovers) but they were out. Ended up getting the premium pepperoni and the prosciutto one with the shiminji mushrooms. It took awhile to get the pizzas out. We almost finished our drinks by then. By the time we received our pizzas, it was no longer piping hot. A line started to form and the nice lady was managing the orders on her own. We ate on the picnic benches with the winds and flies but that's to be expected for the location. The crust is what you'd expect from Italian pizza. However the fillings were a bit remiss for me. The prosciutto one needed some umph to it. I stole some of Hubs honey pack that came with his pepperoni to drizzle on top of it and it was a bit better. Some heat would have taken it to the next level. Same with Hubs. His came with olives (whole, not the canned black ones). Although I do love olives, it just didn't pair well with the pepperoni pizza. So the flavors of both didn't really hit the mark for me. Holy moly this pizza was bomb.com! I will say this is no pizza hut, this is authentic Italian Pizza so it is pricier and worth every penny. I called in to order since the site was down. Once I got there my pizza took an additional 10 minutes since they were just being made. I was disappointed at first, but then I got to watch him make it and my excitement just grew. The chef in the back really took his time on presentation! We brought it back to the airbnb and it was amazing. Make sure you have a bit of bug spray as it is settled with the food trucks and I did get bit a little here and there. Came here after hearing my husband call this "the best pizza in town". So, my expectations were sky-high. We were a group and tried three kinds: the one with artichokes was my favorite, and my husband loved the truffle sauce one. We tried Zucchi pizza back when they were a smaller food stall and we thought the pizza was solid! Quality ingredients give the opportunity for chefs to make quality food. That's Zucchi's for you. Zucchi got some seriously good pizza -- crusty, chewy, flavorful dough that you know was made with love (and literal hands -- I watched the chef toss and shape it right in front of me). It's always a good sign when the pizza guy's basically performing a dough ballet. Bonus points for creativity too: they've got a Nutella pizza if you're feeling adventurous, and some fun drinks like the Diamond Head grape soda that lowkey tastes like summer break. Piece of Napoletana... First of all I'm sorry as I had no plans for pizza but as I needed dinner for the night I decided to finally visit the Street Food Village @ The Y and as I searched the various choices available it was pizza as I thought it would be shareable and yummy for a later night snack. As there was quite bit of folks waiting around I asked the cashier what your wait time was and she said 20 minutes which isn't a problem and decided to order their Margherita Pizza as nothing beats this classic favorite of mine and with some bougie ingredients it's topped with I was instantly sold though the wait time was more 45 minutes which got me quite edgy. The vibe at this outdoor food area was really nice though on this windy day I found the dirt kept flying in my eye can just imagine what it does to my meal as the food biz was all on artificial turf and the walkway is basically dirt. There are five tables which fills up quickly though I took my pie home and enjoyed it there. The crust is very doughy as mom asked if there's mochi powder baked in it lol! Hands down the best pizza in Honolulu (and believe me I've tried MANY)! The freshly made dough, along with all the other fresh ingredients they use really make their pizzas delicious. Just thinking about their pies makes my mouth water! I've tried both the Premium Pepperoni and the San Daniele pies.....but my favorite is the pepperoni. Looking forward to trying the Margherita and Meat Lovers pies. My recommendation - Premium Pepperoni drizzled with honey (packet that they include with the pie) or balsamic glaze that you can get at the cashier. 5 stars but.... I am giving Zucchi 5 stars because it is hands down the best pizza on the island. We ordered the Margherita and the Anchovy Di Napoli. The Margherita is the best indicator of a good pizza and Zucchi passed the test. Classic Neapolitan style with the crust perfectly cooked with the perfect amount of chewiness and elasticity. I make my own homemade pizza so i know how difficult it is to make your crust and dough this perfect. High quality mozzarella and simple San Marzano tomatoes make for a perfect Margherita. The Di Napoli was equally yummy in a different way. It was an explosion of flavors with the anchovy, garlic, capers, and kalamata olives with a nice balancing of these strong flavors with the arugula, cherry tomatoes, and perfect crust. It was almost too much flavor to eat this then go back to the Margherita. So, why the but? Because of the price. They got rid of the 10" pizza so you need to buy the 14". The margherita cost $25 and the Di Napoli was $27. One 14" is not enough for 2 people. So over $50 for two pizza's is a lot. Too much for me to come back often no matter how good it is. It is basically a food truck so his overhead is low. My guess is that the owners will make their money then move to the next city. If they truly wanted to establish a longer term business here in Hawaii then they could lower prices to encourage more repeat business. So i am a little conflicted. Best pizza on the island, yes. But a little greedy with their pricing? Yeah i think it is. Just because you can charge that much doesn't mean that you should unless you have no intention of staying long. read more

First off the pizza is good, but this not about that. We ordered 3 for pickup at 5:15 as we had an engagement to get to. We ordered them at 4:00. After waiting for 15 minutes no info was provided. It's a small outdoor stand with only the cashier and the pizza maker, both just a few feet away from the benches. I went to the cashier to ask where our order was and she immediately pointed to the one making the pizzas. Right away that should have told me that this may happen often as he was literally 6 feet away from the pizza maker but she obviously did not want to ask him about it. Asked him where our pizzas were and he just said he was making them now. When I stated that didn't answer my question about what happened to our 5:15 pickup time he repeatedly said he was going off his computer which apparently tells him when to make the pizza. Told him I didn't understand what a computer had to do with our requested pickup time on an order we place over an hour before. He then abruptly turned his back to me and repeated that the computer tells him what to do, which didn't answer my question about our pickup time. Turning his back without answering the question except to say the computer tells him what to do was baffling to say the least as I suspect he expected me to under his business when all we wanted was to be able to pickup the pizzas at least close to the time requested or at least an explanation. Did not expect him to just turn his back away from me. After receiving the pizzas at 5:40 and as we were walking away the owner, who arrived after the discussion with the pizza maker, approached me outside the eating area accosting us as to why we disrespected their business. She said that the pizza was late because he wanted to make sure it was hot. I said it would have been good to inform us of their policies either during the ordering or while we were sitting there wondering what was going on for the 15 minutes we were sitting there, which resulted in us being late and holding up others at our engagement. Don't believe the computer factors that in. Told her asking for an explanation as to where the pizzas is not disrespecting her business but it would be professional courtesy to keep the customer informed. She continued demanding that we respect her business as we didn't understand how hard it is to run a business. At that I walked away and she continued to trail after us demanding we respect her business and said she would call the police for disrespecting her. While most reviews are positive I did see a couple which matched our experience. My advice to her would be to set aside your sensitivity to criticism and focus on professionalism and not on demanding respect when respect is earned not entitled. Glad to see pride in your product but perhaps a recommendation to proactively address forthcoming issues of timeliness would be to communicate to the customer what is actually happening vice taking offense at justified questions on the status of the order. That one simple common professional courtesy would have prevented any need for you to demand respect for not delivering as expected. A thin skin doesn't bode well in any community business, but professional courtesy does. Oh, and don't turn your back when the customer is looking for an answer to a proper question! That tends to escalate any issue. read more

hot/new and trending! it definitely caught my attention so i had to try it out! They're only open at night except on Fridays and located in the front of YMCA near Ala Moana Hotel/Shopping Center. I originally parked at the mall and walked over, but then moved my car in their round about thing since i wasn't going to be there that long (got the a-ok from the worker to do so). They open at 5pm, but that day opened at 5:30 since chef was running late. Zucchi Pizza is tucked in the corner of a small food cart pod just East of Ala Moana shopping center. We managed to make it here one lovely Sunday evening to discover a lively pod of folks enjoying their dinner. We decided on the San Danielle Carpaccio pie and we LOVED IT. The dough is chewy and soft and the toppings were great. This would be a great 'date' pizza straight out the box. Maybe bring a bottle of wine, a blanket and enjoy a night out.
