Bobs RV repair was not a good experience for me. I wanted to have my campervan checked for any issues and an oil change. They charged me nearly $1,000 and told me I only needed a few repairs such as hoses and belts. My next trip, my brakes gave out and I have a hard time starting the engine. Steve read more

Bob doesn't want to take the time to hire someone to run the office. That's why most of the time, no one picks up the phone. Beware when Bob says to do something, like when I told him my E-brake was not working. He said it would be fine. Then I broke down to Santa Barbara and bomb, the E-brake becomes stuck in the middle of a residential area where no one wants to help and they want that RV in front of their house gone. Took three tow truck dudes to figure out how to move the 28 foot RV. Then damaged my back bumper. I had also driven it there then had to have it towed back in 45 mph winds. Bob took no responsibility for this whatsoever. He didn't even remember. Then I told him my AC wasn't working. He said they take a look at everything bc we have a two-month-old at the time. I came back two days later, and he said it was good to go. I drove out to Phoenix and pulled over at a rest stop. The AC didn't work, 100 degrees outside, screaming baby turning red in the face bc he can't cool down. I had to turn around after waiting in a baking RV for hours for it to cool down a lil bit. I asked him about that but at this point, who cares, right? I'd give this negative five stars if I could. Avoid at all costs. Mike's RV is way better. They at least pick up their phone. Bob could have killed my baby. This situation bothers me Bob. Shut your business down. Let your helper run the business. Bob can't even use the credit card machine to take payments. It's time for retirement before he gets someone killed. I was lucky. Never going back. Thanks for nothing, and oh thanks for not putting on solar panels like I asked then avoiding me for five month to find out all you did was put a list together? Wild world we live in where individuals can be so careless and make a living doing it. Wasn't going to write a review but people should be wise to this, that's why Yelp is helpful. I got stranded in my RV Live Oak Campground in Santa Barbara. Bob's Auto & RV repair was the closest shop I could tow my RV too. I called and they were outstanding in trying to fit me in on a very busy and booked day. The shop closes at 5:30pm and I got there at 5pm. They still went out of their way to accommodate me. My RV needed an alternator repaired and they found the part at a nearby auto parts shop. I was on my way home 2 hrs later. Being a solo female RV driver can be scary in these situations, it is very comforting to know that places like Bob's are focused on helping people. We had a small leak in our motorhome under the shower. Lake Cachuma front gate recommended Bob's RV Repair. I called and left a message. Alex called me back within an hour. Alex showed up about an hour later and fixed the problem pretty quickly. Alex used rugs to avoid scratching the flooring and shower. Very professional. Exceptional customer service! I called and spoke to Pam about a problem with my leveler system leaking hyd. fluid. She sent Alex out and he quickly identified the problem, drove to get the new parts and was back in 40 minutes, then made the repair. What was truly exceptional about Alex was that he took the time to clean up all of the hyd. oil residue that was splattered all over the surrounding undercarriage. We recently moved to town and hadn't yet found (or needed) an RV shop. When I returned home from a trip with a broken fridge on my new cab over camper, Bob's RV repair got me in right away, so I didn't have to remove the camper from my truck and put it back on again. All this, even in spite of the fact that it was just before Fourth of July and they were busy with lots of customers who were trying to leave for the weekend. The part needed for my fridge was uncommon, but they had it in stock and I was back on the road the same day. Besides being knowledgable and quick, they were super nice and helpful, and good to communicate with me. Now I know where I'll be going for any issues with my camper. And for folks who are traveling through, there's a really great RV park across the street (Flying Flags RV park) and Bob's does mobile service. Seems like a perfect combination. read more

We are staying at Flying Flags and our motorized steps broke. I talked to Pam, and Alex came out to take a look. They had to order a replacement motor which they overnighted and Alex came out the next day to install. I have nothing but good things to say about Pam and Alex. Had to call Bob's RV Repair yesterday due to one of our RV pop outs refusing to retract. There was no crank system nor any way to manually get it close. We called another RV repair site that said they couldn't get there for 4-5 hours and they recommended we try Bob's. Alex showed up in about 10 minutes, and what a wonderful, talented and kind man he is. He could not easily figure out what the problem was, but you could tell Alex took it as a challenge to hunker down and get it worked out. He finally figured out that one pop out was pulling too many volts and the surge protector was kicking in and shutting it down. He manually overrode the system in short bursts to get the thing closed so we could get on the road and be on our way. Bravo! read more

Nice, professional however expensive. Called them out for a small repair at a campground. They were very responsive however I was told it would cost $125 for the trip and $125 per hour for labor. The repair tech was good and done in 15 minutes. When he wrote up the bill I was charged for a full hour of labor at $125. While the service was good I should have been told it was a minimum of $250. Had I known this I would have not used them for a small repair. If you really need them yes they are good but know if they come to you plan on $250 minimum. read more

If you need help with your RV, this is the place to go! We were in a time crunch and needed quite a lot of work done on our 1984 Minnie Winnie and Bob's RV took care of us. They got us in and got all of the work done in time even though they had to hunt down hard to find parts. We even had an unexpected muffler problem but they took care of it. We are so thankful for all of their hard work. Our Minnie Winnie is running better than it ever has! We finally have a working bathroom, running water and electricity on the inside too.
