    Caesar Salad
    Kate L.

Between 3 and 3.5 stars for me. Came two weeks ago on a beautiful Saturday night. Sat outside which has a nice view of boats and...Bridgeport Ampitheater. Rob Thomas was playing there that evening! lol holy flashbacks. Started with the Caesar salad and initially we said side salad so our waiter must have put that through but then we quickly changed it to the main Caesar so we could share it. I also ordered the Lobster ravioli and the man got the salmon. A few minutes go by and out comes the side Caesar salad from a food runner. Place was packed so they have food runners and bussers here. We then had to find our waiter to tell him he/they messed up. About ten minutes later the main Caesar comes, we are finally enjoying that and out come our hot entrees about a minute later. I HATE when entrees come while you are still eating your appetizers/salads or not even done with your drink. This is a sign of poor service/communication with the kitchen or just an incredibly overbooked restaurant and therefore; service suffers. Entrees-the Lobster ravioli came with ONE ravioli (Pictured). A lot of seafood comes with this dish which was very delicious and I was hungry so I ate 99% of it and then our server came over to ask how it was so I told him it was good but it only had one ravioli. It was more like a cioppino dish than a ravioli dish. He was so nice and said I'm going to send out another dish with more ravioli. I was pretty full so I didn't need more food, but I gladly took it home as it was very tasty. Man said the salmon was ok. Not the best. We then stayed for the band and they were phenomenal. They kept the sound under control so it wasn't blasting with customers having dinner. We decided to go over there after dinner and hang out. I will say the space for bands is very small. It's in the corner and there are tables awkwardly around the band and really no place to stand and watch the band unless you're around the corner. Strange setup but we had a blast. Food very tasty but I have to say I agree with the low ratings on this place because a lot of mishaps occurred.

This restaurant is a really nice place with good food. First and foremost the ambience is very modern without feeling stuffy. Service is prompt and kind. Calamari was quite fresh, and the balsamic reduction was a different take on it, which I enjoyed. Lobster ravioli was delicious from the Rose tomato sauce which had the right amount of creaminess. I really like that they lobster ravioli had good clumps of lobster. they were not stingy with the lobster meat. Top it off with a dark and stormy cocktail, and I was good to go. Great flavor great meal would definitely recommend and come back.

Food is great! I was a little nervous because of previous reviews, but it looks like the restaurant has really stepped up its game. I came here with some dear friends upon their recommendation and we really enjoyed ourselves here! Views are great, but can get very sunny. I kind of wish there was fans or more umbrellas to help us avoid so much sun, but I can't really control that. Still worth sitting outside - love seeing the boats and ferry sailing around. Food is was better than expected. I wish I had taken more pictures. My friend got chicken and waffles, and it was nothing like the previous pictures! Great! Overall, vibes are great and worth checking. They even had a live person with music for the brunch.

In the warmer weather great outdoor seating by the water. Food was good. Same view indoors in the colder months. Service was polite and fast. Bar looked extensive. A great lace for a meeting or special occasion

Wanted to give it another chance so came back on Father's Day since it's kind of an excuse to overspend. Was actually way worse than my other bad experience holy moly. We had a few apps like clams, tomato caprese (said heirloom tomatoes but they were just grocery store plain tomatoes) and calamari and then a variety of entrees like fish tacos, lobster roll, chicken Milanese and a steak sandwich. Food was blah. Calamari we got with cherry peppers and there was maybe 1 or two tiny pieces of cherry pepper. Steak sandwich didn't have any sauce that it said it would have and like last time the steak was overcooked. Our meals took years to arrive, like over an hour and a half or even longer. Same goes for nearly every surrounding table! Everyone looked so upset and even looked upset when they got their food too. Service so incredibly slow they should be embarrassed. I'm so done with this place!

Service was friendly but slow. Had to remind the server that the bottle we ordered was a happy hour special. The raw bar was amazing. We loved the clams. Portions were super generous and they did not skimp on the ingredients. Pretty view, but the vibe didn't match the location. But, hey- it's not our restaurant. The food was great, and we would come back again.

First time here just for drinks and apps. Perfect Aperol spritz (Prosecco not Champagne). Had the Abi tuna and nachos, both gluten free and excellent. Check out my pics. It's a bit higher priced but you are paying for the great location. Beautiful right in Bridgeport Harbor. Service was good, very laid back on this Labor Day afternoon.

My second time dining at 29 Markle Court yesterday! When…read morefirst I was introduced to this restaurant: an impromptu visit with a group, and we shared small plates, family style. It was delicious! This time, I reserved a table for four, including guests who were up to an adventurous evening. The place was hopping! A Friday evening fun atmosphere and a beautiful bar that reminded me of a Paris restaurant. We were seated at a great table with banquettes in a corner of the front dining room. Our waitperson was excellent- energetic, informed of the menu, friendly & interactive, I believe her name was Shamira. We received great recommendations for dishes on the menu accommodating certain preferences. Following Cocktails - from the usual order of Scotch, to the " Crimson" spicy, indeed. The "Wanderer" imbiber said she could sip them all night. I, being mostly just a wine drinker, ordered from the "unusual wines" - a delicious white wine from Languedoc named "Picpoul De Pinet, Feline Jourdan", which paired very well with both courses. Based on my enthusiasm we all shared a bottle with our Main Course! Total alignment. We shared Caesar salads, which were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their selection of a main course: Halibut with corn risotto, Shrimp & Grits with spicy red sauce (just right spicy), My dish was Mussels in ginger & lemongrass red Curry, paired with grilled bread for soaking up that sauce, Yum!; a Whole Red Snapper with Mole sauce for my husband - most adventurous diner of the evening! We stretched ourselves to order two desserts: Crème Brûlée and Goat Cheesecake! Sublime. On departing the Restaurant, we were thanked for dining by the Proprietor, Wesley. We had an inspiring conversation about Bridgeport's future. A memorable evening.

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.

I loved the music despite having to yell over it to communicate to the waitresses and/or to whom you may be out with; the entire setting of this place was nice, so it automatically became my fav. However, as time went by, I started to order via Uber Eats and my order would arrive with something missing. I'd always get the seafood rice, which consists of a lobster tail, shrimps and pieces of salmon. My order would then arrive without the lobster tail. When I would add a Pepsi to my order, they'd send a Coke instead. And no one would contact me to ask me if any of this was even okay. I brushed it off thinking they just ran out or something. But as I continued to order, my food would come with no lobster tail and they'd give me a Coke with no communication. This evening was it for me. I called them in advance to ask them if they had all of the items to create the food and I was told yes. I told the waitress that I would make the order online and come pick it up (10pm). However, when I attempted to make the order online, it said that they were closed but Google says they close at 1 a.m. I called several times again and no one would pick up the phone. So I drove to them, went in and ordered 2 seafood rice for me and my mom, one with no shrimps because my mom is allergic to shrimps. I should've checked the bag before I left but I was so tired this evening. My gut was also telling me to, but like I said, I was super tired. I left without checking the bag. Upon getting home and we (my mom and I) open the containers... guess what? No lobster tails in either of the food, and they put massive amounts of salmon in my mom's food to compensate for the fact that they did not give her a lobster tail and because of her shrimp allergy. In my food? No lobster tail, no salmon, and they put a lot of shrimps again to compensate for not putting salmon and the lobster tail in my food (assuming they had to use the salmon for my mom's dish). I'm upset because AGAIN, no one communicated with me of the lack or shortage of the required ingredients. Please note that before I placed my order this time, I asked the damn waitress if the items were available and she said yes! I'm so upset! My mom contacted them because I was too annoyed to call them, and my mom told them how we felt basically and they offered to give us the tails tomorrow. We declined. We just won't be returning and/or ordering from them anymore.

It was just fried wings. Definitely needed hot sauce. The mac n cheese was ok. Id give it a 5 out of 10. It was really oily, not alot of flavor but ok. Yams were good but way too heavy on the clove flavor for my preference. Priced way too high. For what i got, id say it was a 10 dollar plate at most.

I walked to the bar and asked for menus and a few beers. We had to go to the bar each time to order. We got the buffalo wings and Sikorsky sliders. Food took a while but it was worth it. The wings were breaded so they had a nice crunch to them. The sliders were great - grilled chicken, bacon, sharp cheddar and cracked pepper mayo. The food was really good, I always appreciate a breaded wing. The beer and wings were supposed to be on happy hour at $5 each as noted on the menu. Whatever reason, I thought I did a review on this place years ago, as I've been coming here for…read moreyears, and I always have given it 4 1/2 five star rating because the food was fantastic and they had by far the best clam chowder ever. It was a type of place that I would say don't judge a book by its cover, it was a sneaky good place with incredible and creative seafood options. The lobster pot pie was delicious, the lobster quesadilla out of this world, the steak tips, very tender, oyster, Rockefeller, sinfully addictive... a lot of great offerings. Came back after a long time of not being here back in the fall and had a wonderful experience with my girlfriends. Came back today, and it was absolutely catastrophic! I don't know if it's under new management, but the whole place was chaotic, the service was awful, and the food was terrible... The clam chowder wasn't clammy in flavor like it used to be, it it was heavily laden with bacon bits, which, if you're a bacon fan is all the way for you, but I'm getting clam chowder, not bacon chowder. I ordered the mac & cheese lobster which was described as a creamy mac & cheese with lobster and truffle oil... There was not one single sign of truffle oil on this dish at all. It actually did have generous amounts of lobster, but it was far from creamy and the pasta itself was dry. My other half had the fried clams, they rate as some of the worst clams we have ever tried, and the portion was extremely skimpy, and the clam composition was mostly that grizzle! ( the attached photo is the dish as it was delivered to us... It had not yet been touched. )The fries were ice cold, and to boot what made it worse, no signs of life from our server...hello, hello...I felt like Adele! The gentleman who took our order was busy going outside, taking care of the tables outside went by us countless times and didn't even pay mind to us-you've thought we were invisible! The other waitresses that walked by, couldn't even understand body language, maybe they did, but didn't care because it wasn't their table, but we sat there for 40 minutes and no one ever came to check on us. Never had this issue with this place before, which makes me think that it's really under new management, given how the food was, and the lack of care of the personnel. I doubt I will be coming back here again given the experience, and I never do this, but for the first time ever I didn't leave a tip because they were not deserving of a tip. We finished our sodas, we were thirsty, and we were never offered anything more to drink. Why - because again no one came to check on us. When I finally called one of the waitresses over, she came and asked if I want to wrap up the food and I told her I needed a container and I pointed to my husband's food and I told her that the clams were god awful and why they were bad and unfortunately, we were neglected by our server and all other staff for that matter. She told me she would take the clams off the bill and she would come back with a container for my dry lobster mac & cheese. Five minutes goes by no sign of the waitress 10 minutes goes by no sign of the waitress or my container, finally I call the person who looked like she was manning the floor and checked on all other tables and how they were doing except for OURS Was there something wrong with us? We weren't dressed like bums, we sat in the corner, we didn't have extra sets of eyes, we didn't have an extra arm attached to our body, we were just regular, typical people, but she ignored us. Bill came out to $33.50 for bacon chowder, dried lobster mac & cheese, and two Ginger ales... Never again! Honestly, the way we were treated was shameful, hopefully they learn from this lesson and they do better... No one deserves this, especially with the cost of food these days. It took us 50 minutes to get here, and we made it a trip because we've had great experiences in the past, but seeing that all three dishes were disappointing makes me believe that this is not the same place that it used to be.
