This was my 2nd time here ! the location on the water is beautiful. I was seated outside so happy with that. we ordered an expresso martini and mojito $15 each but they were good. the reason for the 3 is the food. we ordered apps... the eggplant milanese was delicious and good portion size for $18. we also ordered the clams casino flatbread which was my favorite except it was more of a bacon flatbread than clams. I was most disappointed with the crab cakes they were 2 small cakes and spicy for $24 and the nachos. The presentation was great . they were piled high on a cast iron pan but barely any toppings. I added steak for +$9 a few pieces. cheese was on the top layer than none under it barely had any beans. there were lots of olives which I don't like but the worse was you have to pay extra for guacamole +$8. I never had nachos that didnt come with it and it was in a small container. my nachos cost $32 and they were terrible. read more

The portion presentation gave a home-made feeling using the best quality ingredients. You get your money's worth. The restaurant also offers various types of drinks, they serve one of the best wines in the region. The drinks are reasonably pricey but surely worth trying. Please do try the Jalapeno Margarita, its so delicious. This is only recommended if you love spicy food like me. I am Hawaiian Asian so I like that punch in my food and drinks. In contrast, the service was high quality. I never had issues with the staff. All are welcoming and knowledgeable of their craft. But the owner is full of warmth and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around ready to hear all types of experiences from you and the rest of the guests. He is a good host. We were across the street from this place and did not want to waste our time looking for somewhere to have lunch since we were starving (LOL) so glad we went here! The drinks tastes very fresh and clean! The ceviche appetizer was so good and i ended up ordering the vegan chorizo nachos (it was a little bit too spicy) considering i love spicy food. Nice spot and facility. It's the perfect place to eat at if you've got 4 hours to kill, because that's how long we were there last night. Our first time there and probably the last. Slowest service I've ever experienced. We had a table of 6 and made reservations in advance. Food was so-so but nothing better than what you could get from other area restaurants with much better service. Don't expect bread at the table either. The table wasn't even set as you would expect at a higher end place like this. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday with expectations that we were going to get dessert too but after sitting there for almost 4 hours we asked for the check instead. Getting us the check was the fastest our waitress moved all night. Couldn't tell you her name because she never introduced herself. To top it off my wife woke up on the middle of the night and threw up. Our leftovers will be going in the trash today. All of our food and drinks were great! However, service as well as time was POOR. For 3 appetizers, a few drinks, and 6 entrees, our family was there for almost 2 1/2 hours. If there is one thing I could recommend to this large yet beautiful restaurant is to create SECTIONS for your servers, not a full house rotation. My server was no where to be found at all times while catering to other customers on the complete opposite side of the restaurant. Horrible experience! Our server Liz was not attentive at all to our table, while we watched her check on other tables multiple times but not ours for an hour after we put in our order. When I brought this to her attention she blamed the kitchen. At that point I just decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere. When I called and brought it to the manager AJ's attention, he couldn't care less. He even got an attitude telling me what I should know and also blamed me for not asking to speak to him on the spot. After waiting for an hour after my order was placed my priority was getting food, after all that's why I was there to begin with, so for him to blame me for not wanting to wait another minute for him to come by at his convenience like the server Liz did was out of line and unprofessional to say the least. Customer service is not something they prioritize here and "management" is a joke. The 1 star i have to give is simply for the view, I can't recommend anyone come here. If you care about your customers at all please retrain your team. AJ also stated he would have owner follow up, haven't heard from them but not surprised if staff believes it's ok to operate the way they do I can only imagine where they got that from. read more

Boca is a hard place to review..the service varies every time I have gone there. My review is cumulative of the 4 experiences there.. I have nights I would give it 4.5 stars and others that I would give it 1. it's best to go on a week night or brunch. The general vibe and atmosphere is ideal when the place isn't packed with people. It seems they are short staffed in busier nights as you get many different wait staff showing at your table. Food is the same way. The grilled octopus is delicious one night and heavily over cooked on another. I do think it's a result of service and ability to get food out. read more

We had dinner at Boca before a concert. I had Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, with baby bok choy, vegetable fried rice. Absolutely the best sea bass meal I ever had (I've had many). Others had Pan Seared Scallops, roasted corn purée, crisp slab bacon, calabrian chili drizzle, roasted tri colored fingerling potatoes. Heavenly! We shared a Lamb Lollipops entree, with mashed potatoes and veggies; also fabulous. I regret that we forgot to take pics of our plates ;-( Our server, MARI, was awesome. Ordered medium steak tip appetizer and it was well done. Wife ordered sword fish dinner. It was a small piece that seemed like it was frozen. Everything about this place was disappointing. We came because we heard about the bottomless mimosas and seemed like a good idea on a Sunday afternoon. The service from the get go was absolutely horrible. The only items we enjoyed were the mimosas and the bacon. But everything took forever. Plenty of staff, bussers were on top of it but our server was not. Ambiance inside is stale and needs some brightness. I really hope management and owners take these reviews into consideration as I see a theme. My worst item was the clam chowder. No clam, all potato and was not good. The drinks were good. The crab cake appetizer was very tasteful but I would removed the apple slaw. The crab cakes were also very small for $24. The lobster roll had no flavor whatsoever. They had a selection of 3 different oysters so I tried 2 of each and it was fun and interesting being able to taste a difference in type of oyster. The cocktail sauce was strong and spicy which I LOVE. Everything was seasoned and cooked very well and all the pairings paired so well with each dish! I have no complaints about the food and would come back for more oysters and to try everything on the menu! The drinks however were only okay. I did not think they were strong enough, tasted watered down and too sweet. The cocktail menu sounded great but I did not think the drinks were as good as the food. The service was a little slow at first. We were seated and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to notice we were seated and to take our drink orders. The rule of thumb is to not make the customer wait longer than 5. The food did come out quick once everything was ordered and put in! The interior boat vibe was super cute and fun! Actually didn't get the grilled chicken on one of our salad orders, told bartender and it still never came even on the side. A little pricey. I can accept pricey if service and food was impeccable. Didn't want to try and get us a table just "we have nothing for you right now" when there were many tables open but taken up by reservations we were told. Fresh fish and lobster roll, advocation toasts were OK but I would like the toast more crispy. What prevents me from returning there anytime soon is the total lack of precaution of many customers, walking through the restaurant with no masks on. This 'I don't care' attitude is unheard of In the area. Be careful when choosing to dine here during the day. The management has an interesting policy about who they seat where at the restaurant. We came for lunch today, and despite only half the patio tables being occupied, we were told very clearly that we would have to accept a table in full sunlight. We asked about eating at the bar. Big NO, to eating at the bar. So we were shown to a table in the sun. The 2 gentleman at the table next to us were wrapping up their meal and as they left they told us we should move over to their table once it was cleared- it was under an umbrella and totally shaded. We had not touched our place settings, and when the server arrived with water we asked if we could just move quickly to the shaded table next to us. She said "of course, it's out of the sun. I'll go let them know. The hostess appeared at our table within minutes and informed us that we were not allowed to move to another table, despite it being available and not in the blazing hot sun. When asked why she said it was "the policy that once a table is seated they are not permitted to move." Felt like a "sorry-not sorry" sort of attitude. Felt pretty lousy actually. We asked to speak with a manager and within another 2 minutes a manager stood before us and, very succinctly repeated the policy, adding a shrug and ended the conversatipn. So: a virtually empty indoor dining space, a half full patio, and a shady spot right next to a table in almost 90 degree total sun, and this restaurant was willing to alienate a customer and not make the simplest of kind gestures to a guest. We've been to this place numerous times in the past. The food is nothing to write home about. The actions of the staff today sent the message that they did not care that we we're there and we weren't a valued customer. Like I said, the food is not that great and we are quite happy to take this place off our list. Also want to caution others. You'll have much better experience pretty much anywhere else. This is not the place I would risk taking friends or having a group party etc. We ended up at The Dockside Brewery and had a wonderful time with great food and kind, great service. read more

My wife and I kept hearing about this restaurant being good so we decided to give it a go. We were told in the beginning this restaurant had a rough start but has fixed many of their problems. PARKING- There is a ton of parking in front of this restaurant. Parking at this establishment shouldn't be a problem. AMBIANCE- The restaurant was on the water. The outdoor patio was definitely beautiful and during a nice summer night, it would be excellent. However, my wife & I sat inside. The restaurant's ambiance inside is strongly lacking. SERVICE - The service we had was very good. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. MENU - The menu was very good. They offered a great combo of seafood & Italian dishes. FOOD/DRINKS - For drinks we both ordered a lemon-drop martini. The martini was very good and strong. For an appetizer we ordered a dozen oysters. The oysters were very fresh and good. They offered oysters from several different locations (Canada, Washington, MA, etc) which was nice as everyone has a different preference. For dinner my wife ordered the Cioppino which had lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, & calamari in a white wine sauce and I had the Boca Lobster Boil which was a 1 1/4 Maine lobster, clams, corn on the cob, & red potatoes. Both dinners were excellent. The Cioppino seafood was very fresh and the pasta was cooked perfect. The lobster in the bake also was fresh. The only knock on the bake was the clams that it came with were a bit bitter even with the butter which was not the case for the Cioppino. PRICES - The prices were very fair for what we got. OVERALL - I would return to this restaurant. The food & service was very good. Unlike what some people previously said, I thought they did a great job in regards to being safe with COVID. The tables were spread out, every staff member was wearing masks, and they made customers wear masks when they stood up to either enter/exit the restaurant or use the bathroom. read more

They were completely empty and before they sat us the manager(?) reminded us how inappropriate it is to go to a restaurant without a reservation (they didn't have to sit us... again it was empty). Our waiter paid us almost no mind the entire time, and the food was subpar. We got a tray of seafood, two soups (which arrived ice cold) and a salad. Seafood tasted like it has not been rinsed...Someone at our table also ordered the chicken and waffles off brunch menu, and it's embarrassing how it come out. I worked in restaurants for years and I wouldn't have the audacity to serve this meal. For $200, overall not worth it. But nice view! read more

Especially for the COVID time many restaurants has minimum menu and that's not the experience here.
