Since that review in 2010, we moved to Boca and have been to this branch more times than I can count. While once pretty good, the reality is that there has been a noticeable decline in both of the quality of the ice cream and the hygiene of the place. I feel like we first noticed this about 2 or 3 years ago and it's only gotten worse as time has gone on. The regular ice cream is always stale or tastes weird. Also, the fat free soft serve, once my favorite item here, has started to taste flavorless and gritty. As far as hygiene goes, the tables, floors and chairs are always sticky and gross. I highly doubt they are cleaned on a regular basis. Finally, the bathroom is atrocious. It's clear that the owner and workers are oblivious, otherwise these issues would have been rectified long ago. We unfortunately no longer give them business because of these ongoing issues. Why settle for this crap when there are far better ice cream options around (Bruster's, Venchi and Whit's to name a few).

The shop is spotless, the old-fashioned decor is cute, and everyone was genuinely so friendly. The ice cream is made in small batches using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients. They serve vegan, gluten-free, and no-sugar-added options, and everything is kosher certified. Prices are a little high, but you are paying for quality, and it's worth it. I'm being careful and only had a little bit to taste, but I could tell you it was luscious and it was calling my name. I hung tough and Paul had to eat the whole thing himself.
