If I could I wouldn't even give it this. We went in long after the lunch rush hour and there were either two or three groups of two people. The guy behind the sushi bar said the waitress would be with us soon. We waited. And waited. And waited. The covers on the plates were a textured plastic so you had a hard time seeing what the rolls were and they were not labeled. After at least 10 minutes she finally appeared with menus. As my daughter asked questions about how cold she tell what each roll was, to which the reply was that they don't have labels and they know what is in some of them, I took one look at what I wanted and gasped at the price and how little you get. I am used to getting a Bento Box with tempura, a California roll, rice, soup and salad and for about $2 less than tempura and rice was here. We got up and left and went elsewhere. read more

So i have been here twice and still on the fence about this place. I guess it's perfect for somebody who is new to sushi and wants to try it but stay on the safe side. Especially if you go for lunch and do the all you can eat for $12. The price should have warned me, but I guess I got caught up in the moment. They should call it "all you can eat rolls" because there was NO sashimi or nigiri offered, not to mention the rolls were about as basic as they come. I definitely felt like I was tricked but for $12 what can you expect. Great place to go. What so folk see as a problem (lack of labeling) I see as a good thing because it leads to experimentation. And you are not limited to what you see on the belt, you can always ask the chef for requests. They also have a 2 for 1 happy hour that includes sake. Bodeli is Japanese for food poisoning. I had mixes of freezer burned, overly oiled/fried sushi and fish that tasted expired. I asked the chef and wait staff and they weren't concerned at all. Never going back. read more

Always my go-to restaurant for sushi! We call it the "fun" sushi place because of the conveyor belt. Enjoy selecting off the rotating belt for an appetizer while waiting for meal. Upon arriving it had made the party nervous about the quality of sushi just off the looks. We had people order off the menu and the rest had all you can eat. She could not grasp who was getting what. Once we got our drinks we didn't see her again until we were about to leave and then asked if we needed refills for our drinks. The variety of sushi was very limited as they only had one person making rolls. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the sushi chef. Blech. I'll say this upfront - there seems to be a discrepancy between lunch and dinner reviews so maybe that's why I was so displeased with this place as I went for lunch. First of all, the music they play is really weird and really loud - a mixture of languages and sounds like contemporary Christian/80s rock/elevator music. And LOUD. I had a business lunch here and felt like we were shouting. Second, the conveyor belt concept is cool and something I'd only experienced abroad but here the offerings were paltry and not good. Almost EVERYTHING that went past was A. fried B. contained cream cheese (not a fan in sushi) or C. was fried and had cream cheese. There were no fresh ingredients, no spicy rolls, and very little raw fish - lots of tempura shrimp and crab. Really, really disappointing as I like to actually eat sushi when I go to a sushi joint. I ordered unagi (eel) nigiri because the conveyor food was so paltry, and that too was disappointing. Limp, discolored, and tasted ok but looked so strange that I couldn't finish it. Really bummed, I was hoping to find a decent, inexpensive sushi option but I won't be going back unless coerced. read more

If you come for lunch expect every roll to be either imitation crab or a couple rolls sprinkled in with fried shrimp. The sushi is not any better than a cheap china buffet. You can't tell what any of the rolls are because they are drenched in sauce. I got 2 small plates and the sushi was just disgusting. The sushi chef made it a point to come over and tell me not to waste food bc I left 4 broken up pieces of sushi (I ate what I liked out of the middle of the rolls). How embarrassing... It's definitely not worth $15 for lunch. Go to Publix, the sushi there is a million times better. This place sucks. read more

This is a real favorite of ours for sushi, and we miss not being over that way as much as we used to -- but have been able to stop for lunch several times recently. Fun fun fun!!! I'm from out of town and this is always on my must visit list while in TN! My kids and I love the conveyor belt sushi bar. It's absolutely perfect for getting my kids (and me!) to try new things. The food is always great and they are more than happy to take requests. The owner and his wife are so friendly and couldn't be any more accommodating! Today at lunch they even gave my kids the coolest "kid chopsticks" that help them learn how to use them properly. Because there were literally no guest, the sushi I had were not fresh at all. The ginger were also not fresh. Go directly to the Specialty Maki Sushi menu especially the Tiger Eye with it's crispy sweet potato coating and the cooked Bulgogi Sushi (not on the menu but will happily accommodate) are out of this world! This Korean couple makes combinations you won't see anywhere else and if you ask, they will surprise you with a unique creation. The conveyor belt sushi is average and at $1-$3/plate, what are you expecting? It's definitely fast if you're in a hurry and a life saver for the children who can't wait for the ordered sushi, it's not unusual to see 10, 15 even 20 plates or more stacked at tables! If you enjoy Korean food, they will also provide it upon request including excellent Kimchi and Yaki Mandu appetizers and regular Bulgogi. If all you've tried is the conveyor belt sushi, there's no question that you need to come back to order the specialty sushi or what I call the Americanized sushi. Conveyor Belt Sushi is a fun gimmick, but in the end that's really all it is. Its a great thing to do maybe once. But I cannot stress enough, as others have, the many shortcomings.. First, the lack of labeling. My girlfriend and I were lucky because we had the undivided attention of the Sushi chef, but we had not been sitting at the bar, we would have had no way of knowing most of the time what we were eating. Bodeli would be doing itself a huge favor by somehow indicating what you were trying. Second of all, many of the rolls came in 3 pieces instead of 4. This made for some difficult math between two people. How do you eat half a roll? Perhaps the intention was that each person try their own, but that's not very romantic, and given how long it can take for the conveyor to make one revolution, its also not very practical. Still, it wasn't a horrible experience. The Sushi Chef was very friendly and the rest of the staff was very attentive. Its not that there was anything wrong with the place, just that it needs to make a few friendly modifications to make the experience more enjoyable overall. read more

Food was great, service was great & we loved the rolling sushi bar! Only complaint is that I showed the waitress a picture of a sushi roll someone had there before & asked what it was & she immediately asked the chef to make something & didn't say anything about a price or ask how many rolls. When we got the bill, I was shocked to see they had charged us for 2 speciality rolls at $20 each. $40 for 2 rolls of sushi is a little too much. Everything else was good though. I went for the "all you can eat" sushi on the sushi train, but apparently the sushi chef doesn't literally believe it. He put about 3 pieces of sushi on each plate (The whole time there was a variety of about 4 basic types of sushi rotating), and I ate around 12-15 plates, which for me is pushing the limit. By the time I got to the 14th plate, the chef saw my stacked up plates and stopped putting sushi on the train. When he finally did put a couple more plates on the belt, I grabbed one, and he immediatly pointed out how many plates I have had, basically saying you have had all you need and to stop eating. Needless to say, I won't be back for the lackluster, boring sushi. read more

I have been visiting for the past two years and have never gotten sick or been disappointed. The best time to go is between 11:30 and 12:30. If you don't go at 11:30 during the week, the business crowd will beat you to all the good rolls. Follow by those rules and you'll do just fine. read more

Ok so came here last week to try the all you can eat dinner hoping to get a good deal and get my sushi fix without breaking my bank! Unfortunately this did not happen. Don't get me wrong I am not super picky and I do understand that you can't expect super quality sushi for a low cost but the sushi here was truly lacking. The conveyor belt moved slow as molasses our whole experience took over an hour just from waiting on the roll I wanted to make it over to my seat and that was if I got lucky and someone else didnt snatch it up before me. The same three rolls were on the belt the whole time I was there and they consisted of crab or shrimp tempura. I was hoping for a spicy tuna roll or something with some raw fish! Anyway after eating the same roll over and over and waiting I finally got bored with it and stopped eating. My date of course was determined to at least get his money's worth and had about 6 plates (each plate has about 4 pieces) and the sushi chef cut him off. Why is it called all you can eat if you are rudely going to cut someone off? So after that we got up, paid our 15.95 each and left. Big waste of time and money. Conveyor belt was cool to experience but I don't see myself going back. Choices were limited, process was slow, staff was unfriendly. read more
