Looks good, unfortunately we weren't able to try it, they had some alarm going off that they couldn't turn off. But hey, I was able to take updated photos of the menu so you can see what you wanna order.

This is a restaurant located down the street from me. It's been there for years. But, I just recently dined there at the request of a friend. Oh my goodness, I've been missing out! The food was absolutely delicious the first time I went. I got an Hibachi bento box and liked it so much I had my husband go with me. We ordered several things off the menu and liked all our selections. Restaurant name is fitting for one of my favorite things, the Miso soup. I am safe to say, it's the best in town!

Fresh, delicious rainbow roll and miso soup. Perfect for a quick lunch. Our servers were lovely, attentive and quick. Ambiance is typical of a small, shopping mall restaurant. It was quiet and clean. Nothing fancy.

I'm not sure why we don't frequent here more often. Went on Friday night and it was packed. (they do a brisk takeout business so that is an option if the dine in is full). We ordered the Fire Dragon roll to share as appetizer. Our server informed us they were a bit backed up on those, but we were okay with waiting. It turned out to be a not very long wait and she put our dinner orders in when the roll was almost out so things flowed smoothly for the dinner. Fire Dragon roll was really good, such a nice crunch and the avocados were perfect with the Salmon etc. I ordered a Shrimp Teriyaki Bento box with Vegetable Tempura, Fried rice and California roll. Everything was so good and freshly cooked when it arrived at the table. Vegetables Tempura were fresh from the fryer hot and so tasty! I could probably make a meal of just those. The Shrimp Teriyaki was fresh and delicious also. The Bento Box is a lot and I couldn't finish but fortunately there were others in the party who helped me out. Service was great and they were busy! Again, why have we waited so long? Great spot!

I tried a few different kinds of sushi here and wasn't too impressed overall. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, an asparagus roll, and egg nigiri. The egg looked way overpriced at first ($3.25!) but when it arrived, it turned out to be 2 pieces...that's not so bad. The egg itself was pretty good - sweet as it's supposed to be. The rice underneath, though, was really bland. It had a tiny hint of plain vinegar, but no sweetness at all. Of course, the same rice was used for the rolls too, so the complaint carries over. The shrimp tempura and asparagus tempura were actually both pretty tasty and crispy. The asparagus roll had too much spicy mayo on top, but the mayo did help offset the blandness of the rice. The servers were friendly, accurate, and quick. I like the laid back environment and the fact that there's ample free parking outside. It's too bad, if they had properly seasoned sushi rice, they probably would've gotten a solid 4 stars from me.

Wasn't planning to eat here but saw a steady flow of customers coming out of this place. I'm glad I did. I ordered the tempura shrimp and tornado roll. The shrimp was good but the roll was outstanding. It was flavorful and had the right amount of shrimp and crab. And they were very busy but my order was ready in about 10 minutes. The service was great and they offered to get me a drink while I waited. This will be my new go-to sushi place when I'm in the area visiting.

This is our go to Japanese restaurant located close to home... They are very consistent with their food And always seem to be pretty packed. It seems like they do a lot of takeout orders because people constantly are coming in to grab food. We love the bento boxes and the specialty sushi rolls.

Miso Japanese Restaurant in Franklin is a casual, no-frills sushi & Japanese food restaurant. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking and seems to be a neighborhood favorite. My friend and I met here for dinner on a weeknight and it was packed. Their menu is actually not just limited to sushi and Japanese. I noticed that they have Thai and even Vietnamese pho. Their prices are all really reasonable. We decided to share two rolls and the vegetable and shrimp tempura. The tempura ($5.95) was pretty good and was brought out to our table quickly. The fire dragon roll ($8.50) was definitely our indulgent pick as it was salmon, avocado & cream cheese and the whole roll is deep fried and covered in sauce. This roll was a bit too rich for me with all of those fatty foods all in one roll. The white snake roll ($13) was the standout of the meal to me. It is one of the newer additions to their specialty roll menu. The inside is spicy crab & shrimp tempura and the outside had white tuna. It was drizzled in a wasabi sauce with lime and sriracha. Although it sounds like it would be really spicy it only had a small kick to it. I would definitely order this one again. I think Miso is a good restaurant and I'd give them another shot. I think that it matters what you order here since I enjoyed the tempura and the white snake roll but I didn't care for the fire dragon. The service was a bit spotty towards the end but otherwise pretty good as well.

The miso soup was stellar, too. I've been a couple times and each time the bartenders are lacking in friendliness, accuracy, and efficiency. It seems that they pay more attention to the service bar and chatting with each other, it's surprising to me that management doesn't notice the bar is in need of supervision and improvement. I've had to to get my own napkins, chopsticks, and even had a food runner drop off my food to a couple sitting beside me and scurry away before any of us could tell her that she made a mistake ‍. It's possible that the service is better at the tables though, I sit at the bar because I go solo. Still, the food and ambiance are worth a visit, I will be back...the chargrilled edamame is delicious!

The food here is always amazing, but the service is consistently terrible every time I visit. What makes it worse is that the restaurant wasn't even busy -- maybe eight tables total, two servers, no bar guests -- yet every table around us looked annoyed and was waiting just as long as we were. Not once did we see any sign of management on the floor. The kitchen does a great job, but the service and lack of management presence really ruin the experience. this will be the last time any of us dine in here. which stinks because we love the one in nashville but this one is much closer.

Almost every time I come in, I'm delighted to see one of my regular servers who remembers my favorite items, makes friendly banter while I order, and overall makes this an incredibly welcoming experience. There's a lot of regulars like me who have been coming here for years for some of their staple favorites: green curry, red curry, fried rice, pad thai cashew chicken, and truly any of the soups are always hits to me. I always get an appetizer as well with my favorites being the chicken spring roll, the fried tofu, and the small wonton soup. Nothing is spicy unless you request it so, and my meal is always about $14-18, even if I order an appetizer; it's truly one of the few remaining inexpensive spots in the area. Sushi is not my favorite here and I wouldn't call this the most authentic Thai food, but that doesn't make it any less delicious.
