We always love Kingston's on a summer day. A cold beer, some fresh seafood, right on the water. What could be better?

Stopped in today, grabbed a burger for the first time and was not disappointed! Took the boat, docking was a breeze. Hostess was with us immediately and our drink order was placed promptly after being seated on the outdoor dock with a view of the boats. Still love Kingstons!!!

Met some friends here a few years ago. We had a nice time. Came back with my Dad for lunch & we enjoyed our lunch. Looking back I have to say my Steamers were the best I've had out in a restaurant. They were sweet & tender. The swishing broth was flavored & the butter slicked them up just right. My hot buttered Lobster Roll was full of chunks of lobster and my tarragon mayo on the side was perfect. The only letdown for me was my Pina Colada. I haven't had one in many years and had a taste for it, but what I received was an icy flavorless concoction that I should've just returned so that is the reason for the one star being off, but otherwise my food was excellent and it seemed my dad enjoyed his flounder Reuben. The perfect Long Island summer restaurant.

Kingston's Clam Bar is a hidden dockside gem with delicious seafood. My friend and I went during sunset and sat outside with views of the marina beneath the cotton candy sky. I had the flounder reuben with fries and it was filled with flavor. My friend was happy with her crab roll and clams. Our waitress was super friendly, and there was catchy live music as we ate and sipped on our lemonades. This is the perfect Long Island summer restaurant to enjoy good food and pretty views.

Decent, nothing crazy. It's a small spot on the water tucked into the quiet town of Sayville. Dined here last night. The fried calamari was crispy on the outside but wayyyy too squishy on the inside. My husband ordered the lobster as his meal. To be honest, it did not look good on the outside but my husband said it was delicious. My chicken fingers and fries were average. The moist towelette they gave my hubby for his lobster was dried out. They had a small selection of dessert including cheesecake and chocolate cake but we opted not ti get.

Kingstons Clam Bar, Sayville LI Looking for the best lobster or crab roll on Long Island ? Head to Kingston's clam bar! Kingston, clam bar is located on the water in Sayville The fish is so fresh and they have a variety of seafood options on the menu! The crab roll was the star of the show ! It's similar to a lobster roll, but it's crab meat tossed in a lemon butter sauce served on a toasted bun, and it is truly delicious! We cannot believe how amazing this roll was, you MUST get this!! The lobster roll was amazing as well, of course ! We think this might be one of the best we've ever had. There was a lot of lobster meat and it comes with french fries or coleslaw This place can get busy so we recommend going earlier around 5 PM for dinner or for lunch Follow me on Instagram for more reviews : @yourfavoritefoodguide Have you been here?! #longisland #longislandeats #longislandfoodie #lifoodie #lifood #kingstonsclambar #sayville #sayvillefood #lobsterroll #crabroll #eeeeeats #foodandwine #foodies #tryitordiet #devourpower #eatfamous #brunch #lunch #dinner #dailyfoodfeed #eattheworld #cheatdayeats #cheatday #cheatmeal #delicious #foodieztm #foodiesinternationalchat #eatwithfoodiez#foodieexplorertribe #foodandbeverageonly

The food here was awesome & service was spot on! I know the businesses in Suffolk County will be so happy if there's a dedicated pool of money for updating the water infrastructure here so they can cut out the single use plastic & I hope the voters support a clean water referendum on the ballet, too! We will all benefit from not adding to that aging landfill & this beautiful location on the water will be one of our favorite spots! Till then, remember to bring your own!

Place is decent. Parking can be an issue. I got the fish and chips not bad not amazing. A solid place to be on the water and enjoy a view.

Been here several times both by car as well as dock and dine. It's not fancy if that is what you are looking for but it is perfect for some fried seafood and fries, fish tacos with a nice cold beer or clam pizza. Service is ALWAYS with a smile - they have great, very sweet servers here! We will be back for sure if we are lucky enough to get a dock space. That said, I can not recommend the lobster roll which is a bummer because I'm always looking for a good one. They got SO much right in their roll - the mayo is just the right amount, they add fresh, crisp celery, which I love and the roll is perfection, toasted and buttery. However, the meat is predominately the claw-bearing legs, you know the bottom part of the nice claw meat, that is a little rubbery/caulky piece that has a weird consistency. It ruins the roll when every other piece is one of those (I had seven in my little roll and I don't eat them, so that was basically half my sandwich) fortunately we ran into friends there who had their dog with them, he loved those pieces lol). I know it's cheaper for the restaurant to sell the tails in a meal and not put them in the rolls but I would rather they charged me more for the roll and put some nice chunks of tail and the large claw meat in them - then I would come weekly for a roll. There is nothing like docking your boat after a day at sea and having an amazing roll and cold beer. IMHO, each roll should be at least half a lobster (the best ones I have eaten have a whole lobster) then you would only receive one or two little pieces of the gross bearing claw meat and the rest would be tail and good claw meat. I'm still on the hunt in Long Island for a good roll - nothing thus far has compared to Red's in Maine, once you have had theirs it's hard to go back to bearing claw meat :-( we just need one restaurant to offer a 'whole lobster roll' they would make a mint!

My first time here I met some coworkers and had a beer and some steamers that were pretty good. Now it's two years later and I came back. It was crowded so we sat at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender made me a powerful but good bloody Mary and wifey had a Mango margarita that she said was delicious. When we were seated I ordered a half a dozen oysters and a half dozen clams on the half shell, both were absolutely delicious. Wifey had fried calamari that was cooked perfectly and almost melted in your mouth. I also got the fish and chips that was fried cod with a perfect crust on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside delicious. Wifey had a seafood salad that she said was bland so she had to doctor it up a bit. I will definitely return because I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and the bartender can make some great cocktails.

I had the cold lobster roll today for an early lunch. I asked for a low-fat version, with just a touch of mayo. It was the best-tasting cold lobster roll that I have had so far on Long Island. The lemon that I squeezed on it made it taste even better. For a side, I had some salad instead of fries or cole slaw. I sat at the bar, drinking a cup of seltzer water on ice with a slice of lemon and lime. Beth, the bartender, served me and did an outstanding job. She did not charge me extra for the side salad or seltzer. Total cost of my meal including tax: $26.07 It was worth every $. I highly recommend Kingston's Clam Bar for all lobster roll connoisseurs.

I heard about Kingston's from fellow Yelper, Gail B. I was in the area and decided to stop in as I am rarely out this way. I got there slightly after opening. So parking and tables were readily available. I decided to sit at the bar instead of a table as I was by myself. The bartender was really good and efficient. I ordered a Blue Point Toasted Lager and a warm lobster roll with fries. Beer was nice and crisp, and of course refreshing. Lobster roll was great!!! Lots of lobster and the toasted roll was delish. I hardly ever eat the roll of my lobster roll, but this time I did. It had excellent flavor. Very generous amount of lobster for a very reasonable price. The lobster roll comes with fries or coleslaw. I got it with fries. Fries were great! Nice and crisp the way I like it. 5 stars all the way!

That said, we were greeted by the bartender as soon as we entered, and served promptly. They do give free popcorn too which is a nice touch these days. Prices are average for LI, maybe even slightly lower than average. Narragansett pint and a local citrus hoppy one came to...I think $15-16. It has that classic, dark feel inside. Can only imagine how it was back in the smoking days. Good selection of beer and liquor. As for wine, I saw Corbett Canyon swill being poured. At least it was from a magnum bottle and not a box. Probably the same product. So "avoid wine and you'll do just fine" if you're in the area and want a drink here. Can't comment on the food. It's cool to see how booze can help bring people together (and not just destroy). For example, an older gentleman came in and the bartender (believe his name was Jay) remembered his usual order of Heineken light and a whisky shot and had it ready quick while enjoying a shot with the patron. Perhaps we've found the fountain of youth after all.

We were told they had a great bingo night and fantastic food and drinks. That proved to be an excellent recommendation. The Wayward is located in the heart of the quaint village of Sayville. It is a spacious establishment with a large bar, plenty of tables as well as booth seating . We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender Brian. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink choices. He took the time to note our preferences within the dishes offered. It was apparent to us that Brian and the 2nd bartender Meg were extremely hard working, friendly and efficient. We started with a few drinks. Nothing fancy. I had a rum & coke and my wife went with Prosecco. Both were good. For dinner I went with gnocchi with chicken sausage in a pink cream sauce Absolutely fantastic! The kicker was the large dollop of fresh mozzarella on top. My wife chose the Chicken Milanese with roasted potatoes . She noted that the chicken was pan seared, breaded , moist and delicious. She opted to get it without the tomatoes and onions that accompany it. The potatoes were amazing. (I snagged a few so I can confirm this!) Deliciously seasoned, crispy on the outside moist and creamy on the inside. The bingo was also great! Chris was a great host. The prizes were great , although we didn't win anything. All in all a great night! A pleasant change of pace . We fully recommend The Wayward whether it for bingo night or dinner and drinks . Fantastic atmosphere, great food, great service.

Not a lot of parking out front, but there is a rear entrance you can use that has a much bigger parking lot for your ease. Service was decent, we got forgotten about once right off the bat, but once we got things straightened out staff were helpful, kind, and attentive. Starting off with drinks, I had tried their gingerbread old fashioned and their boozy coquito. The old fashioned was nothing special, but I did enjoy the little gingerbread man it came with. The coquito on the other hand was very tasty, albeit a little bit boozier than I expected, but I don't often mind a heavy pour. Next up for food, starting with apps, I tried the pretzel which comes with a cheese sauce and mustard on the side. Just as good as you'll find it at any bar serving it up these days. For entrees, I had their signature burger and tried a bite of my girlfriend's steak sandwich, and she definitely came out the winner. Burger was good, but nothing that made it standout much from other good smash burgers. The steak sandwich though was cooked well and didn't all just pull out on the first bite, which to me is the key indicator of a good steak sandwich! Was overall a nice dinner and I'd certainly like to comeback and try more of the menu and I've often been tempted to stop by for their bingo nights, they always seem to have awesome prizes.
