I used to live in Turkey, and this is some of the best Turkish food I've found since moving back to the US!

Food is delicious when it's served hot and depends on your cook and server. I love the grilled chicken platter but got it yesterday and some of the chicken was still pink and food came out Luke warm. They do not require guests to wear masks but they seat everyone in the best social distance they can. There no hand sanitizer or gloves worn by staff. They clean tables but not chairs or salt and pepper shaker so your still at risk. It's a bit pricey but worth it once your done with dinner go have ice cream at the Venice creamery the best! read more

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I travelled to Istanbul pre-pandemic and we both agreed Turkish food is delicious! It is somewhat similar to other Mediterranean cuisine (Greek) and made with fresh ingredients. We were thrilled when we discovered Bodrum while visiting my parents in Venice. We shared the sample mezze platter with Hummus,Tzatziki, Babaganush, Ezme, Kisir, Mom's Potato Dip, 2 pcs Dolmades and my husband ordered the lamb chops. The food and service was superb! My wife and I love coming to bodrum for the delicious food and atmosphere. We always choose to sit outdoors in a lovely arch walkway that takes us back to the times we spent in Europe and Middle East. It's these little details of aura that make this little restaurant our favorite on the island. We quickly became regulars at this little hidden gem and the owner and head chef makes it a point to come out and converse with us. Once again giving that extra authentic effect of the real city of Bodrum. I recommend it to all my friends. The service does not dissapoint in the least. The staff is friendly and even when they are extremely busy still make us feel like we are old friends. Which brings me to my next point, as of late the restaurant has been very busy so if you have a large dinner party it definitely helps to make a reservation in advance. read more

This was our first time trying Bodrum. My wife found it on Yelp and we went for lunch. What a great find! We shared the Mezze platter it was delicious! All of the choices were great. The Ezme and babganush were outstanding! We then shared the fresh catch entree, it was halibut. This was the best fish I have eaten in years, and I eat a lot of fish. The fish melted in our mouths but had a nice seer on the outside. The sauce overtop was devine! We then had the Kazandibi for dessert, also delicious. In all this was one of the best meals I've had in Venice. We will definitely be back! read more

Bodrum is an adorable little restaurant with fresh, delicious food and a wonderful staff. Everyone was so friendly and even though they were quite busy , we had our food in no time! My boyfriend had the lamb chops, they were perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth delicious. I snacked on on the appetizer plate and some falafels, both were so full of flavor! I want to start by saying that we love this restaurant and the food is always delicious; however, one visit left us completely speechless and is making us rethink our future visits. The food was delicious as always and the service was okay (the servers did not do anything extraordinary except for bringing us our food). Our waters weren't filled, they didn't have tea, and we had to ask for additional bread multiple times even though it was obvious we still had a full platter of dips. We were slightly disappointed because we really wanted to have some dessert with tea but even that was fine with us until the manager followed us outside after we left to ask us why we didn't leave a bigger tip. We left a tip fitting the service that was provided, which we thought was just okay, but to go after your customers and ask why we did not leave a higher tip is not acceptable. I can understand asking how the service was and making sure everything was good, but you don't ask customers why they didn't leave more money. This was a huge turn off and honestly shocked us all. We have never had this type of experience before. We still recommend this restaurant to others, but will definitely think twice before bringing our business here again. read more

We started with their delicious home-made hummus - smooth creamy with warm bread. The server told us they make everything home-made, only exception is the grape leaves shipped in from NY. A little pricey but some of the best grilled chicken you will ever taste. You may get flashbacks a day later and have to come back. We've had their large salads that you can add chicken, fish, gyro meat, and other stuff to. Best Mediterranean restaurant in Florida. The ezme and the spinqch pie were flavorful and delicious appetizers. Just a bit of kick to the ezme but not too much. For entrees we enjoyed the bread wrapped lamb kabobs with a wonderful sauce, and the New Zealand baby lamb chops which were simply & perfectly prepared. We finished off with baklava which was very flavorful without being overly sticky or too sweet. It had a nice delicate balance and was absolutely the best I've ever had. The service is friendly. They provide spot-on wine and food recomendations and seem to really enjoy what they serve. You will find this little gem in dowtown Venice in Burgandy square. You can dine inside in one of 3 small dining areas or outside in the Burgandy Square Breezeway. Reservations strongly suggested. The place is full by 6:00- 6:30 for dinner during high season. The hummus, tabouleh, baba ghanoush, and tzatziki was all 5 star worthy! I had the gyro platter, and the meat was perfect. So good that my picky child actually loved it! High praise indeed! Good pita sandwich lunch specials -- enjoyed my falafel wrap -- but I would have preferred either better french fries (mine were hard and nowhere near fresh from the fryer) or an alternative side. I will state up front, this type of food isnt a favorite. Every 10 years or so I get talked into trying it again...Time to decline. The hostess and waitress were competent. The food was meh. We had the tzatziki appetizer, which was way too much yogurt, way too little bread. The waitress did bring a 2nd 4 inch piece. I had the gyro entree which came with white rice instead of pitas bread, deconstructed...weird. Tasteless pile of gyro meat, allegedly beef. She had the lamb kabab special which was tastier. The food was fresh, which I guess means you give it 4 stars...nope. We didnt order any tabouille, tahini or any ta-squishy stuff, not a fan.
