First of let me say the massage was great, as was the facial however this place needs a huge overhaul and makeover. It's dated old and falling apart. How they pass any inspections is beyond me. I got a 45 min Swedish massage special for $70 as well as a 45 min facial for $70. There was a very loud drilling construction noise going on during my entire massage.. this was not something I was told at the front desk. They also hold your id at the front desk which is odd. I had already paid part of it online, so I wasn't going to skip out on $100 bucks. Also the lockers have these cheap battery operated pin code locks that don't work. I managed to lock it but then couldn't open it again. A worker told me how too open it with a reset code so I was concerned all my stuff would be gone when I got back. Sketchy. Also it's very dark in there, not relaxing. Both saunas were out of order, which was annoying. Steam room was ok but every spa should use eucalyptus oil for steam, so I it smells better. Overall I wass happy with the masseuse Rina and the facialist Elizabeth, but happy I didn't pay full price. Also my massage ended at 243pm not 245, however it was great she's very thorough and strong! Go at your own discretion, but there are better more well maintained spas. Bathrooms were clean, but not many towels and the robes are dingy, However white is a terribly hard color to keep bright and clean. read more

Please do not go to this spa if you're looking for an actual spa experience I can write an entire article regarding the horrendous experience I had, but i'll keep it short . 1. The facility itself is outdated and unhygienic. The woman 's locker room was not stocked with towels and there were dust bunnies everywhere. 2. I was injured when an unsecured pallet of wood fell on my leg in the sauna , I informed the manager and he said " Thanks for telling me" , A real lack of concern and consideration was shown however the bruise and swelling on my leg were apparent. 3. My friends and I asked for a menu and after 10 minutes of waiting by an empty bar we were informed by that same manager that he cannot find the staff, " the must have left" . why would the staff leave at 4pm on a Friday and the manager not know? At this point we just left , I cannot comment on the treatments as those employees weren't there either. It was a waste of time and money to go to Body By Brooklyn and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Forget a star rating, how about an F? I went for a 30 minute massage and prior to me booking my reservation I checked out the website. I called to make a reservation and 2 different people checked with a manager to confirm the price. The therapist I had was great, so I booked her again right after my massage was done. I happen to call regarding my upcoming reservation and was told by Terrance that I have to pay an extra $55 entrance fee for the same service I received a week prior. Now, after explaining to him my previous reservation was confirmed more than once by a manager, which was him, and that there was no entrance fee, since I was not going to be using the sauna, lounge, etc., I was done. Totally disappointed! And, the worst part is that the other manager Tukki booked my second reservation( same massage a week prior) and mentioned nothing about an entrance fee. When asking her about the discrepancy( since she didn't even charge me the $55 entrance fee) she now was unaware of anything...smh! I had Terrance cancel my appointment. I cannot knowingly support this business with their dishonest business practices, neither can my referrals. I do not recommend this place. read more

Husband and I came to redeem a gift certificate for a couples massage. Our massages were good (not great)(not strong enough, despite my asking) but the overall experience just didn't feel luxurious enough for the price. For the pricepoint, I much prefer more highend experiences like Setai in FiDi..... or a down and dirty Korean massage that gets the job done for much less money. Worth noting that the front desk area seemed especially frenetic which makes arrival and departure a little stressful. (On the plus side, loved the heated massage tables! This was my first time at this spa and I will say I had a great time. I enjoyed it for the relaxing and calming environment it was. The only two things that were short from a 5-star rating was the misleading statement on the website about $10 all day parking; there is no parking and I went on a weekday... if I we're to go to this spa on a weekend I am not sure if I would've had the same tranquil experience. The wet lounge is only a capacity of 55 people (fire hazard) but with the enjoyable relaxation space to the actual spa-goer I would say less. If a whole bridal party is in the general area, I wouldn't say its spacious enough for them and the general public. The jacuzzi can seat about 5-6 people comfortably and the cold plunge is meant for 1 person at a time. The sauna is can definitely accommodate much more but if you have been to other spas, saunas are much more bigger than your average household room. My favorite part was my massage. I got the body polish special of July, it starts with a body scrub applied to the front and back surfaces. You then shower and then get polished & buff incorporating the massage portion. I felt amazing after and ready for a gracious nap haha! I had Riina, she's great! My favorite place in the spa was the locker rooms. It was absolutely divine, spacious and SPOTLESS! Everything you needed was there. You honestly needed to bring yourself. Now that I am acquainted with the establishment, I can definitely visit them again! read more

If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful place to relax, this is NOT it. I went for the Platza treatment, which was just ok. Afterwards, I had access to use the wet lounge. An open space where people can relax and enjoy the hot tub, steam room and saunas. Oh, and the girls screaming and snapping photos left and right of themselves (in an area that has a sign that says NO cell phones), taking provocative photos of themselves right in front of me. I was horrified. And not one staff member said a word, doubly horrifed. I also had a salt body scrub that was done right out in the open in the wet lounge and not in a private room, which I thought was wrong. Like I mentioned before, I came here to relax and get away from the weeks "noise". During the salt scrub, all I could hear right next to me were the girls screaming and taking these photos AND talking to the staff member who was giving me the treatment?!? I was offered 10% off and a chance to come back. I took the 10% even though I should have received a full refund and NO, I will never be coming back here again. read more

I'll give this place two stars. I literally just left there; I booked the dynamic duao for my mom and I. The massage was good but I feel like this place can do way better. Prior spas I've went too; your catered too and get real spa treatment. AFter the massage they just put me and my mom out into the lounge area and that was it. I had to find the cafeteria area on my own. Had to figure out we could seat ourselves on our own..I had to ask the bartender like is there a server or do I order my food and drinks with him and he stated that I do. No one was there to really guide us and let us know what we were doing next being that the package came with multiple thing. When it came time to pay the girl in the front was sweet but didn't know what the package and price of what I booked consisted of. I would say I was disappointed and highly doubt that I will go back. Wow! I've been to many spas in the past with my wife but this spa was definitely great and convenient! We did t have to go all the way to manhattan. Totally recommend it. The service from the moment we came in was great and pleasant. They gave us a tour of the place. Luckily for us, we came in on a Monday around noon. It was quiet and convenient when you want to simply decompress. My wife and I did the steam room followed by the sauna then we were escorted to our massage tables for an hour each. Once we were done with the heavenly aromatherapy massage, we were taken to our VIP room with champagne and fruit. Very romantic for the both of us. There was a jacuzzi and another steam room in the room. The tv didn't work but who cares. Tv is the last thing you wanna be dealing with when decompressing. I highly recommend this spa. What an oasis in the bustling city! I came for my birthday and it was wonderful. The wet-lounge was superb. Multiple Saunas at different temperatures as well as jacuzzi, icy-cold spa and areas to relax were a great addition. Lovely and invigorating experience. The concierge and staff tended to our needs and the masseuse provided a very great massage. My favorite, is the VIP room, its an experience that is really worth trying. That alone time with your honey was so special because Body by Brooklyn made it happen. My review of Body By Brooklyn (wet lounge & relaxation lounge only...did not have any treatment done) Mine and my sisnlaw's experience left much, and I mean much to be desired. It downright sucked. I don't know how so many people rave about this spa. My guess is that those people have never been to a real spa and don't know any better. What a waste. Don't waste your money or time especially if you want pampering or a place with any aesthetic value...Kind of run down place, in my opinion. If you're looking for a place to just use a sauna/steam room, hot tub or cold tub for a little bit then by all means go on but they are all small and poorly managed and a bit dirty. The relaxation lounge doesn't even have any lounge chairs. The only ones are located by the hot tub and a few at that and claimed. Fresh towels were not in abundance, either...you had to wait for them to put out fresh ones or ask. The shampoo and conditioner in the showers were watered down, or at least it seemed that way to me. The containers that offered lotion, shaving, cream, hair gel, or mouthwash had grime around the rims and there was hair in one of the sinks. Lackluster menu...We ordered pita/hummus platter (pita was rubbery and dry and hummus was bland.) We also ordered guacamole and chips (the chips were all broken bits and the guacamole was kind of sour.) Both hummus and guacamole tasted like they are prepackaged. They didn't even take it out of the plastic container. Poor presentation if you ask me! I'm used to a spa offering a variety of specialty teas, infused water, and fruit to take at one's leisure and discretion. No such thing here but at least they had one infused water...they had lemon water all over that was kept ice cold. A plus. Good review: Tyra was a very nice host, as was the other girl in the front with the long braided hair/locks. I can go on but what's the use. This place is pricey for what they offer. Save your money and go to Mohonk Mountain House's Spa for the day. *please note this is my opinion based on my experience and not meant to offend anyone. I just had my bachelorette party here and it was such a great time. The Body By Brooklyn facilities was very well kept (clean and freindly staff) and the services provided were just as great. We were organized by Skylar- the event coordinator...and she was great! Super organized and helpful every step of the way for preparing your party- no matter how big the group. I was very impressed how she learned all of our names and had great communication with us as if she knew us for years! My massage and facial were amazing. Both therapists (Dagmar and Marlene) were knowledgeable in what they were doing and were extremely friendly. I loved every minute of being there for my bachelorette. Can't wait to go back! This happened on June 1st, 2014. THEY KICKED US OUT. This was not a relaxing experience, at all. They turned off everything to make us leave more than two hours before their advertised closing time, after we had paid for a full day a the spa. The point of a spa is to relax and not feel rushed. I was with another person, and she had a good massage, but mine was amateur. Mediocre skills, not a masseuse that is ready to charge 150 bucks for a massage. At those rates it has to be at least GOOD. I'm a dancer and I get pro massages often. My massage was weak, and it felt like someone who had no real training. I went there with my mom. We booked massages 5 hours before their advertised closing time that day (at 4pm, closing time was supposed to be 9pm). We wanted to use the facilities for a few hours (before and after our massages), since were paying to be there all day. We arrived an hour before our massages (3pm), and we were asked if we wanted to do our massages earlier. We thought probably the girls would want to go home sooner rather than later, so we agreed, and had our massages early. We didn't realize they were doing doing this to rush us out early. After our massages they started to close the facilities and clean while we were still there, just after getting finished. Since were the only two clients left, they turned all the machines off by 6:45pm, and closed the kitchen. No one asked us anything, or mentioned anything - they just did it so we had to rush out. We were so rushed, I didn't even have time to shower before leaving! Impolite, and not the point of a spa. I complained at the front desk on my way out as to why they were closing more than two hours before their advertised time - without notice to the clients, and she had nothing to say to me. read more

This place has so much potential. But lacks the lure of a real spa. the plus side: -close to where i live -I love the table you can lay on in the steam room -there is a bar, and they sometimes serve food -the staff that works there, when they acknowledge you, are very nice -it can take a while to get a drink, the booze selection kind of sucks, it does take forever for them to make a drink, BUT they are so so nice when they serve you, they do poor strong drinks, so overall I think just having the bar, and the option to drink is a plus -they have a fire place, I never sit next to it, but I like that it's there -sometimes they will get you something from Fresh Fanatic, which is really nice of them -complimentary water -complimentary bathroom essentials, including hair ties! -no shortage of towels -I do love that there is the monthly, biannual, and yearly options things that need improvement: -the steam room is either too pungent in the scent they put in there, or it smells like BO -the hot tub is usually not hot enough. last time I was there it was at 96, that's lower than my body temperature. They say it goes up and down, but it should be set to never go lower than 100 degrees. -staff should not be allowed to talk in the hallways of the massage rooms, or if they do, keep it to a whisper. they also stomp around in their shoes, I think they should be required to wear slippers or shoes that do not make so much noise. Also, the music in the massage hallway is disturbing to the music in the room. it should be played really low, and just be spa music, not radio music -no rest and relaxation places should ever be playing TV in my opinion. it's distracting. The point is to get away from that stuff. And the one time I was up for watching TV, I was the only customer there, and they would not let me change the channel cause they were watching the game. I would think that if the TV is there, it's for the customer, not the staff -the staff needs to greet their customers more frequently. It should be a requirement to acknowledge each guest, every time they pass you, even if it is just a smile. -mark the soap/shampoo/shower gel in the showers -get a machine that spins your bathing suite dry -complementary tea would be nice -get rid of the halogen lighting near the bath tub, it kind of ruins the vibe of the room. Soft, warm lights would do just fine -the hot tub is usually foamy, because people go in there after getting a massage. there should be signs around asking customers to shower after massages, and it should be a standard thing to say to the guests after they get a massage. -I agree with others, that the staff gets too chatty with each other, and sometimes ignores the customer. It's not a good thing to do when the place is all about someone pampering themselves, guests want to be tended to. Overall I like this place, but I think it needs to go through SPA rehab. Someone needs to go in there and give it the change it needs. I think the space has a lot of potential, but I think they are too comfortable in their ways. I will remain a loyal customer, because I LOVE hot tubs and steam rooms, and it's just steps from where I live. read more

This review is going to sound harsh so here goes: I actually hated this spa, I'm sorry but I hope the owner reads this (whoever they may be) and realize that a person shouldn't be more stressed and angry after leaving a spa. For starters, I tried it on a whim and I regretted it a bit in the beginning of my trip because the trek to get out there took me over an hour (thanks to the unreliable G train). When I finally arrived there, I was actually unaware that I had to bring my OWN sandals or purchase a pair from them (at $3 for a pair of $1 Old Navy-looking sandals). Other spas I've been to in NY or NJ always had complimentary sandals to walk around in, and I witnessed the staff wear those same sandals as to not track in outside dirt. It upset me more for 2 reasons: 1) I saw the staff persons walking around in the spa area with their street shoes (which is very unsanitary to me) and 2) the spa is super tiny. I was so surprised when I realized the spa is really 2 rooms. One room is a "seating area" and it's not comfy to lounge in when plush chairs, it just looks like a standard lobby. It would have been more impressive if there were big sharper image type chairs or lazy boy like sofas. But all they had were books, I'm sorry, but I have books at home I can read. The "spa area" was the biggest disappointment I had all day in that it's just 1 small area, with a teeny jacuzzi, a steam room, kiddie-sized cold pool, and 2 hot rooms. The jacuzzi was barely warm, you would have to get out every 30 minutes to keep turning it back on because it had an automatic shut-off, and the water didn't feel clean and in fact there was some black grime on the side that I could wipe away with my fingers. My friend and I didn't even fathom taking a dip in the cold pool, not only would it have been too crowded because it's really big enough for only 1 person, but there were THREE piles of hair floating around in it. The Swedish Sauna and Russian Sauna were both a let-down because I'm very much used to being able to splash cold water on me in those rooms or have a bucket to pour onto stones to create a bit of steam, and that wasn't an option. At some point one of the rooms started beeping and it was actually distressing and annoying, it didn't go away til a staff member came to turn it off. My friend and I didn't sit in the cheap lounge chairs that were placed by the jacuzzi because we own the same style beach chairs from costco and they're not that comfy to sit in. We ended up spending just a little over an hour there (the shortest time I have ever spent in a spa) and just sat in the jacuzzi. We were both thankful there was barely anyone there because had there been more people we would have felt claustrophobic. It also didn't make any sense to us that they had 10 shower stalls in the spa room, that could have been utilized for another jacuzzi tub or something else better, when I could take a private shower in the girls' locker room. Then when I finally went to shower off the icky water in the stall, there was barely any shower gel in the stalls (only 2 of 3 were actually working). And when I got out, there was only 1 blowdryer, so we had to take turns sharing it. Perhaps the massages or services are good here, I have no idea, but I didn't want to stay any longer than I had to there. This place is too small, not very sanitary in my eyes, and it only added stress to my day. One thing I'd also recommend to the staff (and I'm sure they're forced to do it) but when I'm in a spa and want to relax, it's unpleasant having multiple people coming up to me to sell me salts or ask me if I want to order a drink, especially since I don't like the idea of dehydrating myself when I'm already sitting in a jacuzzi. There wasn't one thing I actually enjoyed about this spa and that makes me really sad. read more

This place has received several negative reviews, and after my experience there, I can understand why. After reading mixed reviews, against my better judgment, I purchased a voucher on Gilt for a spa party for 5 at Body by Brooklyn. I was celebrating my birthday. However, I also had friends who wanted to celebrate with me, but who did not want to participate in the spa party. I contacted Body by Brooklyn about one week in advance to inquire whether I could host brunch at the location (as indicated on the website). I told them that I was expecting a large group of about 10 people, and they said that they would be able to accommodate us. However, on the day of the brunch, after waiting about 25 minutes, we were notified that the chef had an emergency and that brunch would not be available. I understand that there are emergencies, but previous yelp reviews indicate that this was not an isolated incident. Therefore, I had to scramble to find another place in the neighborhood to have brunch (with 10 friends in tow on a Sunday!). The staff member was really apologetic, but this was still really off putting. Regarding the wet lounge experience, the place has potential. However, the towels and drinking water were not well stocked. It looked like there was supposed to be some sort of aromatherapy happening in the wet lounge area, but that never commenced. Also, as previous reviews indicated, the space is just too small. The jacuzzi can accommodate 6 people max, and I think that's being generous. Finally, the location closes at 8 pm on Sunday. At about 7:45 pm, we overheard the staff complaining that they were ready to go home, but couldn't, because me and my guests were still there! It is completely unprofessional to complain in front of customers. Furthermore, we were already in the locker room getting ready, so we would have been out, well before closing at 8 pm. Plus, maybe if we hadn't had to scramble for a place to have brunch on the front end, we would have finished our day earlier. I would not recommend this place. read more

I went on a Sunday to celebrate a birthday and let me say it was "OK"... we booked the birthday package which included a massage ( Jennifer did a GREAT Job!) , a welcome glass of champagne , brunch ( one cocktail- I chose Rum Punch which was delicious) , appetizer,( I had hummus -- it was ok) sandwich ( hmmm-- wasn't the best, I picked at it) and dessert--pumpkin squares with ice cream-- good enough! ) The service was exceptional from our party planner Skylar but the cleanliness of the spa was not what I expected for the price, Ive been to several spas around the city and I was not pleased at all with BBB's sanitary factors. To began- my sister had stains of god knows what on her robe, I witnessed a ROACH while I was in the Jacuzzi ! .....Then a guy entered the wet lounge FULLY naked with his penis and anus out and decided to go INSIDE the Jacuzzi, that was it---- I was ready to go! I wanted to complain or possibly ask for a partial refund but i didn't think it wad appropriate in a bday setting. Also, I think every spa I've ever been to had tools for women to prep their hair after leaving, all BBB had to offer was a lousy con-air blow dryer that does no good for an African American like myself with very thick hair, I suggest for them order a flat iron on amazon ASAP. and maybe a roller brush or 2 or 3 or 4. I don't think I would go again--- unless its for someone's bday whom I love! I would prefer Ancient Aire, my favorite spa of all time. read more

This place was pretty yucky. I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews but I wouldn't want anyone to spend any type of significant money on this place, as my girlfriends did. This past weekend, my bridesmaids treated me to a weekend at the spa. There were 4 of us in total. When we arrived, it seemed ok. By the time we checked in and made it to the locker room, we didn't really want to go further. It smelled. It wasn't cleaned in quite some time. There were wet stinky robes that were marinating in the bench for way too long. We then proceeded to the spa area with the hopes of it being better. Nope!!! Had I not been a guest of my girlfriends, I would have walked right out. I stayed because I didn't want them to feel bad. We ordered brunch. After 2 hours if waiting for it...we received it and it was damn near inedible. I had a massage. It was ok. Again, room was dirty. They have nerve to charge 100 dollars for it. After seeing the looks of the sauna and jacuzzi area I didn't even use the facility. It looked like the residuals from a wild party. Cups and dirty towels all over I have been to many spas. This one was clearly understaffed and needs remodeling. Spas should have ample people cleaning at your feet. People sweating profusely mandates that type of cleanliness. Drinking water was empty in wet lounge, I inquired for more and was directed to a DIRTY WATER FOUNTAIN 7. Steam room smells like mildew 8. There was a dirt ring around the hot tub 9. Cold plunge pool has misc things floating in it 10. Locker Room was not fully stocked (no hair dryer, combs, flat iron,towels) 11. Towels very small, thin, skimpy 12. unorganized staff had no set duties or uniforms (front desk girl ended up being our bartender) 13. We waited at bar for about 15 mins till I went to get someone (there should be a bartender there at all times!) 14. It took 12 mins to front desk girl find change so I could tip the facial person 15. Strange staff member with swim trunks on, who spent the majority of the day in the Russian sauna, was in and out, I did not know he worked there until I saw him giving a women a massage on towels "THAT WERE PIECED TOGETHER" on a massage table (it was strange) 16. The "lounge" in not comfortable!! Its more of an event space, people want to lay around at the spa, there was really no place to do so except in wet lounge which was about 7 or so chairs. People were laying on benches!!! 17. Magazines were ragged and old. 18. Storage room doors were open the entire time!! as well as the disarrayed kitchen door(i don't want to see that when I'm at a spa) I could keep going, but ill spare them and you, they need a serious overhaul with the staff, maintenance and supplies. I'm trying to be generous, and my experience was a 1 star experience. However, I've only been once, and, as I'll explain briefly, things might be different on a week-day. So, let's give it two stars. I went on a Saturday looking to chill out, sit in the sauna, read a book, etc. Unfortunately, groups of 4 to 8 people come here for "parties" - which this place encourages - and they talk LOUDLY AND WITHOUT PAUSE. You can't relax. You can't concentrate on what you are reading. You can't even retreat into the sauna, behind a heavy wooden door, and not hear the people who commandeer the lounge chairs around the hot tub and just sit there socializing as if they're in a bar or club or similar venue. I appreciated the willingness of one employee to offer to shush the offenders - after I asked for her assistance - but it made no long-term impact, and there seemed to be no follow-up effort to ask people to whisper (or shut up altogether) As I was leaving I chuckled ruefully when I saw a sign that says cell phones can't be used in the spa-area. I can only interpret that sign to mean that it would be physically impossible to use a cell-phone because of the excessive background noise at this place. Here's my advice for would-be patrons: never, ever consider going here on a weekend. The subway ride there will be the most relaxing part of your day. I give them the benefit of the doubt with respect to week-days when this place may be less raucous. Here's my advice for the owners: Make it crystal-clear on your website and in your promotional materials that you are not a traditional spa, and that customers should not expect silence, relaxation, etc. read more

This was the worst spa experience my 5 girlfriends and I had ever encountered. From the time we walked in until the time we stormed out. The girl who checked us in clearly hated to be there. She was rude and slow. She said they don't staff many people on Wednesdays because that is a slow day. This is a bit crazy because if they see on the calendar that they have several groups of people coming in that should alert them to have more staff even if traditionally Wednesdays are slow. Once we were checked in we decided to go to the bar. They advertise a 'Champagne spa party" and there are signs around saying "Don't forget to order your fruity Mimosa". We tried to order a mimosa however the place had NO juice and NO champagne! They only had half of a bottle of white wine. The same girl who checked us was fumbling around behind the bar searching for booze then left the bar and went to the office for awhile. We had to ask her to come back out in hopes that we could still order a drink. Then we all started to be called into our massages. They were all mediocre at best and given by very unhappy, disinterested people. After those were completed we reconvened by the fire (the one nice thing about this place) and discussed how ridiculous this place was. One of my girls just had a baby and asked that she have a 30 minute massage instead of 60 minutes but they said that wasn't possible. Not possible?? Does not compute!! We went to use the Wet Spa area and found that the hot tub was luke warm and there were ZERO towels. NONE!!! We asked for some but they said unfortunately they are all dirty. It was as if we were in the twilight zone. One other point of absurdity is the fact that they have two large shaving cream dispensers.....by the sink! What woman shaves anything....by a sink!!? I guess they think it makes sense to pump some into your hand then walk the 30 feet to the shower? Bizarro! Finally when we were checking out they charged my card for 3 of the girls deposits AND charged my card for one of the girls massages and my own! We had to settle up by paypal after the fact. When i asked the (same girl) to make sure not to charge everyone's massage to my card she gave me an attitude as if it were my fault. Clearly this place needs a serious overhaul. read more

I've been here many times now -- on my own, with one or two friends, and as a party (12 people). Some of the reviews I have to imagine are "competitor plants." First, as far as I have known, there are no 'waitresses' here. Secondly, I have never ever seen anybody loudly or even quietly schilling for Platza treatments. Thirdly, the towels (and robes) are lovely -- plush and decidedly clean. To the writer who didn't like the VH1 Hip Hop crowd, your very thinly-veiled racism is insulting but indeed, if you have problems with these "wrong kind of people," I'd advise not going to any spa in Brooklyn. Or anywhere else in Brooklyn, for that matter... The staff is always pleasant, my services have always been on time and during one trip for my birthday, the masseuse didn't have an appointment following mine and tacked on an extra hour - gratis!! The locker room is spacious and clean and they have taken all toiletry needs into consideration. It's also necessary to understand that the bar and lounge is a fun add-on to the experience. If you're looking for a very quiet, serene, Zen-like experience, this is simply not the place for that. It's not a criticism, it's just a different kind of spa day. Also, it is definitely more crowded on the weekends -- I would recommend an appointment later in the day on weekends or go on a weekday. Finally, I have had the 'inappropriate' 'chubby black" masseuse who has been mentioned several times. He definitely talks too much, and while I've never been felt up by him, he once come closer than I was comfortable with. But he gives the GREATEST massages. It's a total catch-22... I will cede that it is not, in fact, the best spa out there. What I love is that you can spend the day (you have an all-day pass to the Wet Lounge with any service) and if you do it right, it is a great value! My husband and I are going for our anniversary and can't wait to spend it together going from sauna to steam to hot tub to service to sauna to steam to hot tub...it's a great way to get away from real life for a few hours! read more

I went here today and had an amazing time!! My deep tissue massage was great! I started by changing in the locker room. Once I went into the main area there was a full bar with bartender, at a spa!! What!?! I had a drink and then my Massage Therapist came and got me. She walked me in a whole other side of the spa where it was calm and quiet. Massage was fantastic and room wasn't cramped. After my massage, she gave me a cup of water and walked me back out. I then walked into an area when there was a jacuzzi, a pool, a steam room, a sauna and a even hotter sauna, I mean really hot. There were some open shower stalls and I rinsed off before getting into the jacuzzi.It was bliss! There was one couple and 2 girlfriends relaxing in the lounge chairs.The bartender then came in and took orders for drinks and couldn't pass up having champagne in the jacuzzi. I talked to the women who were there because they were rubbing themselves down with a scrub in the steam room. They explained to me that it's good to do it then while your pores are open. When the spa attendant came by I asked her and she brought me one and just added it to my account. I'll be coming back soon. They even have memberships for unlimited visits. I'll definitely be inquiring more about that also. read more

My message with Elizabeth was PERFECTION. I extended my deep tissue from an hour to 90 min - so glad I did. This place was great!
