Just came from dinner. Host took the time to explain the menu and the specials. Waitstaff was very friendly and personable. Had the Maryland crabcake appetizer ,best I've ever had, including when I visited Maryland a few years ago! Had a bacon cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms for dinner. Cooked perfectly, meat tasted fresh, clearly not frozen, and the hand cut fries were delicious. My daughter for the chicken fingers, also clearly fresh, which are now my daughters new favorites and she's a chicken finger connoisseur! Chef even came out to see if we were happy with our meals, definitely adds to the personal touch. Can't wait to go back again and have another crabcake and try some of their other dinners! read more

Tucked back in Depot Square is tasty food offered at Bogies. Had an early lunch with the in-laws. Crab cake sandwich was scrupious. Enjoyed the fries as they were not greasy. French dip and Buffalo chicken sandwiches also recommended. Friendly staff at this local joint. read more

First time going to bogie's was very excited about a new place to eat. My husband got the baked haddock and twice baked potatoes thought it was good. I ordered the chicken piccata with a baked potato instead of pasta. Potato was old and cold the piccata tasted of raw flour couldn't eat. They took it off the bill. Thank goodness. Not a place I would recommend. There was nobody in the restaurant for a Thursday night. read more

This is one of the best spots in town, great food, fair prices, attentive and pleasant service. The kitchen is consistently on-point, lunch and dinner specials change daily, with $1 oysters on Friday and a half price entrée Wednesday night deal in the off season. I'd give it zero stars if I could. The only saving grace was the good service...a seasonal college student. The crab dip would have been good if it wasn't cold. I had the chicken picatta and the chicken was raw. My wife had the Chesapeake chicken and the chicken was rubbery and tough, like it was cooked yesterday and heated up in a microwave. A new restaurant in Hampton with some kinks to work out, but worth the trip. The food was very good and although it took a while to get our food our server, Sharon, kept us informed of what was causing the delay. Overall the food was very good. Wife and dropped in after reading reviews on Yelp. The restaurant is located just off the beaten path in the middle of downtown Hampton, near the old train station. We entered the bar around 6 p.m. and found it inviting yet not busy at all which surprised us as we thinking with the Yelp rating they had we might be too late to get in. The bar tender, who we found was the sister of the owner, was very personable and provided great service. I tried the jalapeno poppers that were delicious and undoubtedly the best I have ever had. My wife had the crab cakes which she thoroughly enjoyed as well. We will definitely return so we can try their entrées. read more

Terrible meal. Don't go! We ordered the shrimp scampi pizza. Menu description " topped with sautéed large shrimp in fresh garlic with fresh tomato and dusted with mozzarella cheese". What came had no fresh tomato, no sautéed garlic, small shrimp, and a lot of mozzarella cheese. Essentially a red sauce cheese pizza with a few shrimp thrown on the top. The crust was like cardboard. We spoke to our waitress who then spoke to the owner. Our waitress returned with our check and an explanation that the chef was new and made the pizza the way he thought it should be. The owner never spoke to us. The check came in full, even though they admitted the pizza was made incorrectly and we complained about how bad it was. We ate the shrimp because we were hungry and left the rest. Not only will we never return, we will tell our friends and family to stay away. One star is one too many for this place. read more

Meh ~ This was my 2nd visit for lunch with a friend. Only two people in dining room. Had corned beef in a wrap which wasn't trimmed very well. Side of fries were pretty limp. Friend had crab cake which she said was ok. Chef didn't turn on kitchen exhaust fan resulting in sort of a greasy odor hanging in the air. Stayed with us in the car after we left. First visit was better. Still the only ones in dining room. Had ceasar salad wrap with chicken. My guest then also ordered crab cake saying it was "tasty." Probably not going to be my first choice for lunch in the future. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. read more

We were a group of 4 for dinner. All were extremely satisfied with their meals. I had the Chicken Piccata that was one of the best I've had. My compliments to the chef and also to our waitress. She went out to their garden and cut some fresh basil for the Chicken Parmesan dish that one of us ordered. Perfect! read more

Bogies is a great new addition to the Hampton NH area pub and restaurant scene. The bar and restaurant have been updated and had a clean simple atmosphere. The bar had plenty of seating options with good space around the bar and at the high top tables. The menu was varied and offered a wide selection something for everyone for sure from appetizers to pizza to salads to entrees. We tried the nachos crab cake and jerk chicken starters. Each one was excellent. The nachos were perfectly covered with cheese and tomatoes with homemade salsa on the side. The Maryland style crab cake was very fresh and tasty not heavy breaded or fried. It was filling. The jerk chicken tenders were very spicy and a wonderful compliment to the nachos. We saw sandwiches and oysters and steak tips on the bar being enjoyed by other diners. I would highly recommend Bogies. The Maryland style food is a nice twist on a good high end pub and restaurant menu. read more
