Went here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised, the food did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken parm half sandwich, and it was warm, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken cutlet was crispy, tender, and perfectly cooked. I also got a side of onion rings, which were delicious. The service was quick and the restaurant has plenty of seating with a spacious, comfortable dining area. Overall, it was a great lunch experience. Upon entering Bogie's Hoagies & Deli, my partner and I knew right away this was going to be a nice lunch spot as we were greeted by the staff and a huge deli selection menu. Besides sandwiches, they have pizza cooked inside a brick oven. We decided on the Meatball Marinara and Honey Turkey 1/2 size hoagies after comparing the sizes. The Honey Turkey packed a punch with the meat, lettuce, canned sweet peppers, tomatoes, onion, provolone cheese, mayonnaise, and oil & vinegar. The meal was tasty, and well seasoned. However, with the bread being thinner, it made the meatball sandwich soggy and fell apart. Even with the half size, we took the sandwich home. The price was reasonable. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. And then they sold it to someone who was trying too hard to make it rich, so the portions became small smaller, but the bread stayed the same. Don't know how it is now they have a pizzeria working anymore, but I haven't been there in two years because the portions have changed regardless of who's in the White House or not. if you're gonna raise the price raise the price but don't change the portions. I personally believe that greed has ruined this establishment. The sandwiches are still good, but the portions are shit. And if you order a cheesesteak, God forbid. It's real steak but it looks like steak them in. They overcook it so it's almost like leather and God forbid you asked for onions and peppers or cheese cause you're gonna get charged extra for what a cheesesteak belongs with. Used to go here all the time when Paul owned and ordered at least once or twice a week. When management changed, you could tell the quality went down. The staff are rude, unprofessional and unwelcoming. The chicken was undercooked multiple times I ordered and when I tried addressing that, they seemed annoyed. The fries were either super well done or not cooked with a mountain of salt and not made with love at all. And all of that for a surge in prices. So so sad because this used to be my absolutely favorite place in town, my happy food. I just decided enough was enough. I hope they do better. read more

This was a suggestion from a local and it was worth every bite! The shop was super cute, with hand written signs and a little bit of everything for everyone. The menu was extensive and you could add or change anything in your hoagie. I mean they had 7 different cheeses! I had a Turkey and ham hoagie, they cut the meat fresh for each sandwich, and they made homemade pickle and olive spreads, soooo good. They even had homemade pickles in the jar! I got an Italian sandwich Friday, and the quality has, sadly fallen off since the new owners took over. The lettuce is significantly less and shredded much thinner and is not as fresh. The oil and vinegar is way too much, the bread was soggy. The women behind the counter are not friendly nor helpful. It is almost like we are bothering them by ordering a sandwich. Ordered lunch today from Bogies. $22 for a chicken Caesar salad. It was a handful of Romain with overcooked grilled chicken and not much dressing. I am not sure what this place is about but it's definitely not salads. For $22! At least put the effort in and make it worth it. It wasn't even full. Never ordering again to our office. Bogie's looked fun, was well lit and smelled good (better than outside on the street where a poor skunk met its demise, may s/he RIP). I had started to go for a turkey sub, but had been craving a meatball sub for months. Ordered it and sat down to wait. There's a wide variety of sandwich options and a pizza oven in the back. The oversized desserts looked great too, like the bread pudding, but I refrained. It was hard though! My sub came out piping hot. Gooey cheese, lots of sauce, and bread that was so good it stole the show. I enjoyed every bit of that sub...except the meatballs. They were large and soft but didn't have much flavor. I wanted a pow in the mouth of Italian herbs and beef. I added hot pepper flakes, grated cheese and garlic powder from the pizza station and spruced them up a bit. If there was more flavor in the meat I would absolutely have given Bogie's 5 stars. The staff is great, the walls are beautiful, they have free video games, the bathrooms are clean, and the selection is wide. I'll go back and try the turkey sub. I'm sure I'll get the flavors I'm looking for, and probably that bread pudding to complete the experience. read more

How have the new ownership f'd this up so bad. Absolute robbery. I used to love this deli. I recently ordered a full size sandwich from them (which used to be $12.50) and they ring me up for $24. I was absolutely sure they had the wrong order but nope, these are just the new prices. Not to mention there was somehow less meat on the sandwich then there used to be. I hope they realize they've successfully turned off all of the old die hard customers of this place with their new exploitative pricing. I'll NEVER go here again. The sandwich was doused in gravy the bread was completely soaked and soggy, there was not a spot on the roll that wasn't covered in gravy meaning the outside also. It's back and under new management. Order 3 sandwiches on their second day back and only 1 was correct. Chipotle chicken wrap was ordered, but no chipotle sauce or sauce at all was in it. Also, i ordered a meatball parmigiana sub, got a chicken parmigiana sub. It's not the worst thing that could happen, and I'm chalking it up to growing pains. The sandwich was good, but was craving meatball. But the thing that really brought down my rating was I that I was told 20 minutes to pick my order and I got there at 20 minutes and waited another 20 minutes. The staff was apologetic and worked through a plethora of subs that were ordered by those ordering in shop, which is fine but I ordered over the phone. Again, I think it's growing pains. The one thing I can tell you is they know how to treat meat. The customer is normally always right but in this case I agree with the manager. A customer ordered a roast beef sandwich, as they guy behind the counter was slicing the meat (and It looked gorgeous) the customer said that was too rare for him. The manager said "that is how we cook it here". The customer asked if they could throw it in the microwave, and the manager refused to ruin the meat. I respect that. After seeing the roast beef, I feel like I picked the wrong thing to eat. I got the breaded chicken bacon ranch. The chicken was crispy but not seasoned very well, and the sandwich did not have enough bacon. But it was huge and the price is great.
