First time in Jersey last Saturday and Park Wood was indeed my first stop. Very clean shop. Great selection of drinks, chips, cookies, in addition to all of their sandwiches. I ordered the Francesca. Loved the bread, fresh mozzarella, and meats were piled high. Sun dried tomatoes were tough for me but, I'm a west coaster, I've never had them before. I'd love to go back again and visit.

I come in town for a few weeks a year from Vegas and was excited to try this place out after watching them online for a while unfortunately I won't be coming back chicken cutlets were not good at all although the meatballs and red sauce were owner was rude to all the staff and me I have had way better sandwiches in Jersey your local McDonald's employees get treated better than here from what I saw

Both sandwiches were great. We got chicken cutlet on the 4corner instead of grilled. The Vincent Anthony was a classic Italian style with a great hot pepper spread. We also got a slice of the grandma vodka pizza and it was AMAZING

This place lives up to the Hype. Excellent sandwich cutlets are fantastic one of the best chicken sandwiches I ever ate. The deli guy is awesome to meet in person. We will be back

The Bronx bomber. With the Russian dressing, soo good!

Wow! Five stars! A must try! Delicious sandwiches! Definitely did not disappoint! Ordered the chicken parm sandwich and the Bronx bomber. Amazingly good!!! Everyone was real friendly! We got to meet the deli guy. We had seen him on youtube and he is a super sweet guy! He took the time to say hello and meet us! Loves what he does. Will be back when we are around the area!!! Thank you Deli Guy!

I found this place in yelp and decided to give this place a try since my husband and I were in need of place to find while we were heading to the beach. I liked in how the cold cuts was boars head , nice quality meats. I usually wait until my husband orders and I usually get the same order as him but I decided to get the boss sandwich and I made a mistake , something about the sandwich the taste was off and I didn't like in how they used package cut up ham pieces instead of throwing in a real piece of ham. Another thing that is really my pet peeve is I found multiple hair in my sandwich along in my hash brown which I was not happy with. Other then that my husband sandwich was really delicious.

What a classic and unique place, Jersey -style 100%. We had six different deli sandwiches and subs including Bronx Bomber and Eggplant Parm. Hot fries too. Very good but as a Philadelphia deli child, my five stars are reserved for the very best. I was raised on top-of-class hoagies and cheesesteaks. These were very good however and you should go here. Plus I did the vegetarian eggplant parm and it was good. They have a large pizza section too. This place was super busy on a Saturday. Counter staff so nice. Will definitely go back.

Parkwood Charcuterie Boards are not only beautiful to look at but delicious as well

Since I am visiting, I don't get to eat here often, so when there's a choice between 2 pastas "houses", I have always chosen to eat here. The last time the family and I went and had our meals at the restaurant, I believe the service we had was good. Server was nice and polite, and the ambiance was nice enough for conversations. I do hate being seated right near the restroom though, so I requested sitting as far away as we can the last time we were there, and restaurant hostess had no problem accommodating us. The last few times, due to family's schedules, we ordered for pick up. Picking up was easy enough: go to the counter, give them your name, pay, and get your food. Because I hate paying for a fee by using my credit card, I always make sure to bring cash to pay my bill. I recently fell in love with their spaghetti with clam sauce (white option), so that was my order for today. With my first bite of this dish, substituting linguine for spaghetti, my mouth exploded with the excellent flavors of spices, used to cook the sauce, along with the chopped clam and the chewy linguine. This dish is prepared and served as a larger potion, so make sure you save your tummy for dish, if you choose to order one. My daughter loves her fettuccine rustica dish minus the peas and sun-dried tomatoes, which is a mom's approved dish. We also ordered a 12" personal pizza. The pizza here is not as good as their pasta dishes, so no additional comment. Overall, I truly enjoyed all of the dishes I have ordered from this location, and am looking forward to dine here again the next time I visit my daughter and family.

We wanted to order a large pizza for the kids to share, but were told they don't do large pies for dine-in after 4:30 PM. We explained we just needed something for the kids and would be ordering entrees for the adults. The waitress barely acknowledged us and didn't offer any helpful alternatives. So, we ended up ordering individual personal pies for each kid, which she failed to mention or suggest the idea they could actually be shared (I mean look at my pictures, is a 2 year old gonna eat that size personal pie herself?) Just to clarify, we had a 2 year old, a 4 year old , a 5, and a 7 year old with us, so mostly preschool aged kids. No one told us that the personal pizzas would be big enough for the kids and we ended up bringing home essentially 3 full pizzas. On top of that, they charged my son for an adult seltzer ($3.50 for a seltzer seriously?), and kids' drinks (like apple juice or soda) were priced at $3.25 each. The service was also lacking. We literally didn't see our server after the initial order, with the exception of when the check came. They added a 20% gratuity automatically. Normally, I'd understand that for large groups, but the service didn't justify it at all which felt like they knew this and went with a set it and forget it mentality towards the table. As for the food, it was disappointing. The avocado chicken panini was greasy, drenched in butter, and the tomato slices were so thick, they could've been used as hockey pucks. The $21 goat cheese and beet salad was bland, and two of the three kids didn't even like the pizza sauce. In the end, we paid $135 for 4 toddlers and 2 adult entrees, which felt completely overpriced for the quality and service. Overall, this place lacks decent service, overpriced food, and I wouldn't recommend it.

After visiting the Hackensack location recently, we decided to give the other location in Ridgewood a try as well since we loved the pizza so much at the original. We dropped in at around 5:15pm on a very quiet Memorial Day weekend Sunday evening and, as expected, the restaurant was also very, very quiet. We were only the 2nd group of diners for the evening, although it did get pretty busy as the evening wore on, including many pick up orders. We ordered a Caesar Salad to start along with the Combo Platter, which came with some fried ravioli, fried mozzarella, & chicken fingers. First, the Caesar Salad ---- we ordered it just to get some greens in our systems, but it was pretty much like the one served in Hackensack. The croutons in the salad were just cut up pieces of the bread that they include in the order as a side, but stale-tasting. As for the Combo Platter, that was decent, but the fried ravioli felt a bit empty, as in it felt like I was just eating a square piece of fried dough with no filling. The fried mozzarella and chicken fingers were decent, however, having some marinara sauce to dip them in DEFINITELY helped. For our entree, we shared a medium Tomato & Cheese pie with 1/2 Pepperoni. As I said, the reason we came here was because we absolutely loved the pie from the Hackensack location and didn't expect anything less here. The pizza pie came out piping hot, which was a great sign. Flavor-wise it was fantastic - the tang of the tomato sauce was delicious and the amount of cheese was perfect. Honestly, it was still one of the best pizzas I've EVERRRR had and I've had my fair share of pizza in NYC and New Haven. BUT...yes, there's a BUT here, where in Sam Hill was the pepperoni?!?! I encountered just a measly 9 pepperonis in total on the half of the pie that had it. Seriously, 9?!?! If I can count the number of pepperoni cups on the pizza, you better believe there is a problem...BIG problem. At the Hackensack location, we had the problem of having TOO MANY pepperoni cups, including 2 or 3 stacked one on top of the other. Anyhow, the pizza was still great, but more evenly spread pepperoni would have helped. Soooo, back to the service though. I'm not sure what it is about both locations, but the waiters really come off as rude - no "You're Welcomes", no "How is everything going? Can I get you anything?" Not much interaction at all. To be honest, not a whole lot of professionalism. At the Hackensack location, the waiters seem a bit more seasoned, but something still seems off, while at the Ridgewood location, we just didn't feel very welcome. Maybe we were being a bit sensitive, but having felt like we have dined everywhere, it felt easy identifying the "blah" service. Doubt it was an off night. Bottom line. The pizza is GREAT here and you definitely get your money's worth with the large, but don't come here thinking you're walking into the Cheers bar anytime soon.
