When I saw the name Bohemian, I thought it was a Czech restaurant, after all Bohemia is in the Czech Republic which is now called Czechia. Both the beer and food menu on the other hand are mostly German and American. A true Czech restaurant would serve the schnitzel with bread dumpling instead of spaetzle. I had a pretzel and the Jager Schnitzel. Both are okay, not bad but also not excellent. The pretzel tasted like just white bread, but I appreciate there was no salt crystal on it and the mustard with caper was quite good. The spaetzle was mushy, not good at all. Absolutely delicious! Fun, casual atmosphere with friendly staff. We had the sauerbraten, pork schnitzel and Rueben and the Jager schnitzel. We also had the pretzel wrapped sausages for appetizers. Wow!!! Food is ! So good the beer was cold and crisp and so refreshing tried three different kinds. They were all just as good as the one before. The food though omg my legs are still shaking the schnitzel was seasoned perfectly and so tender! The mushroom gravy was next lever rich with a smooth creaminess to it. The spatzel was so fresh they make it in house and WOW! I couldn't stop eating it was so stuffed however I kept going back for more! Thanks for the great experience. Awesome beer garden in the heart of Boulder. This place has a great vibe and makes you feel like you're in Germany. Awesome German beers on tap. We only had desert here, not food. But their food menu looked amazing. The butterscotch desert was phenomenal. Also the bartender was extremely friendly and quick to recommend some great beers. Would definitely come back here for another beer and to try the food! Edit: came back for dinner and it was AMAZING! We ordered potato pancake, mushroom gnocchi and loaded baked potato soup. All was very delicious. We made reservations because it was a Saturday night. Highly recommend because they were packed. Server was great and food came out fast! Food was excellent and the inside atmosphere is really nice. However, it was really annoying when both of our servers were trying to clear and collect our dishes before we were finished with food on them. I get that the restaurant was slow and they needed something to do, but just relax. It's distracting when you're in the middle of a conversation and they're trying to clear the whole table off--it's not a sin to have a mostly empty plate in front of you after your meal for a few minutes while talking. We appreciate the attentive service but there were moments when they cleared plates without asking and taking food and forks that we weren't done with. Overall still a good experience and we'd be back again for the food and beer. read more

She makes some wonderful suggestions- and has yet to be wrong!! All the food is great, we've had many items. Today Kami suggested the gnocchi, one with bacon and the other one with mushrooms, and both were delicious. The drinks are always Amazing! Shout out to the bartenders for sure! The service was great with the server offering options for my young daughter. I had the schnitzel sandwich and it was the best I've had. I loved the slaw and pickle on the sandwich. Very on theme, and good for small and big parties for a filling meal while having a relaxed, casual hangout. Or just to take tourists. Outdoor seating is limited to smaller parties as their fenced-in patio area is a bit on the smaller side. Indoors has large, long tables with benches that are absolutely perfect for large parties. There is actually this additional room that opens up in the back that has MORE tables and even "booths". It's quite lovely, just continue down the hall where the bathrooms are. They have a variety of beers, huge portions, delicious food, and each table has three different kinds of MUSTARD. It's all just absolutely delightful. There were honestly just a lot of dishes or twists on dishes I've never seen before, and we honestly loved all the dishes we ordered. There are some small eats that are more vegetarian, but there are not a lot of main dishes that are vegetarian viable. MAYBE the mushroom ragout option of crispy Czech style gnocchi (rather than the bacon), but ragout/ragu TENDS to be meat-based. Would recommend their boiled or fried perogies (I've never had completely deep-fried perogies before lol), the crispy gnocchi (other first for me), and the butterscotch pot de crème (which has rum in it to balance it out and make it less sweet). Side note, the cheese and potatoes perogies are the most popular and I think they were the most delicious. If you want multiple flavors, you can order split flavors or two. Next time I come here with my dad or uncle, I'm ordering them the senfbraten (braised pork) because it's just that much meat to make it worth it. XD It's JUST off the main footpath of Pearl Street/Pearl Street Mall, so it's actually a bit quieter when it's not super busy. This is still pretty convenient as it's facing into that main square area where the Boulder Court House with the Downtown Boulder Visitor Center is. Very suited for tourism and bar hopping, they have their own bar. There is a lot of metered street parking (especially with how it's on the more suburb side of Pearl Street) as well as several garages where I think it's free after 6 PM and the whole of Saturday and Sunday. I think the garage closest to this Bohemian Bietgarten is 11th & Spruce Parking Garage? And if you want to avoid that, I've also been instructed to park at the Table Mesa garage for free and then get a bus day pass to get around. Overall, I definitely want to come back to try more of their menu. X read more

Omg. Being of German and Austrian descent I grew up eating all of these things. So when I first saw top den restaurants post about this spot a few months ago It has been on my radar of places I absolutely MUST go. Let's be real there aren't really any good German restaurants in denver metro (at least that I know about, if you know some DM me please!) Anyways a few friends met here on a Saturday and the wait was like 45-1 hour (we had reservations naturally) but that should just be an example of the quality and demand of this place! We started with Litre of beer (of course, is there any other way?!?) and a few apps. The Käsespätzle were AMAZING! Like take a delicious noodle type thing ans cover it in cheese...voila you are in heaven. So good. We also go the Polish Pierogis also amazing. We got them boiled not fried but I bet they would be good either way. I wasn't the biggest fan of the beef tartare but (don't tell anyone) I'm just not really a fan of that in general. For entrees we got the Jäger Schnitzel. Though I named my GSD Jäger (it means Hunter in German) after eating this schnitzel let's just pretend I named him after this EXACT schnitzel. As a matter of fact I'm going to start telling people that. When people as his name and I say Jäger and they give me that dumb "oh like the alcohol" response I'm going to say "ackshually it's after the Schnitzel at Bohemian Biergarten; check it out" ok I've been on a tangent but it was literally just so good. The crisp was perfect and the mushroom gravy on top...heaven; pure heaven. We also had a Bratwurst and Pretzel, I could eat that daily for the rest of my life and never get sick of it....pretty sure if you follow me on Insta you saw I was in Austria for 2.5 days and went to the Würstelstand 3x lol. This never gets old. Which brings me to the Goulash. Really good, I promise. It's a solid 8/10 and honestly to most people it probably is a 10/10. However, I grew up with an Austrian father and gosh dang if nothing can compare with that mans goulash. Lol. I do think he goes a bit heavier on the Caraway, Garlic, and Onions...all flavors I can get enough of, probably thanks to his Goulash so for me I just wish I would have gotten those three flavors a bit more prominent. Was the texture on point- hell yea. Was the flavor still good also hell yea lol. But I guess I am just a goulash snob, and I am not sorry. Don't get me wrong though I would ABSOLUTELY still order this, and unless I make the family recipe this is the best goulash in Denver. And the desserts. Yes I know you're wondering how we had room for dessert after all this amazing food. I also asked myself that when they ordered it. However once it arrived and I tried a bite, I was mighty glad they did order!!! The butterscotch pot de crème was a little pot of creamy heaven. And the Sacher torte was the bomb.com. I will say they beat old pops there. I always hated Sacher torte growing up cuz it's just so dry and bland. Gosh the year he made it for my birthday I thought I was being punished lol. Well this is nothing like that. Creamy and chocolate and decadent. I think the best one I've ever had in my life! All in all this place is awesome, I can't wait to come back. Literally getting hungry just thinking about it and looking at these pix. Considering cutting my 2 week Costa Rica trip short to come back for this food. Haha yes read more

Took a day trip to Boulder. Roaming around Boulder there were many shops of all sorts and restaurants galore. We decided to stop in here and so glad we did. Great house beer & delicious choices. As appetizers I Opted for steak tartare with and egg served with bread, crispy onions & good mustard. Justin ordered the deviled eggs. We of course shared. EVERYTHING was delicious. The wurst platter was served with pretzel bread, red cabbage & spaetzle. Simple and yet exactly how it should be. The wurst had great snap to it. Mildly flavored. Super pleased with the level of comfort here. Dimly lit, relaxed atmosphere with hearty meats, yummy beer, and warm breads... it doesn't get any better. The Honey Bite was a cider / Hefeweizen combo with honey drizzled over the top... a really nice combo. We started with the Pretzel Sausage and German Style Potato Pancake, but gobbled them up faster than we could get a picture. They offered a mustard caddy with 3 different flavors and they all complimented the dish. The pancake was very savory but had a nice touch of apple butter that sweetened it slightly. The pretzel and beer cheese was the best. We could've drank the beer cheese. Loaded potato soup wasn't as thick as we expected and had a definite German style to it. Sitting at the bar we enjoyed chatting with the bartender and checking out all the cocktails. They make some beautiful craft drinks. We'll be back for more beer cheese soon! read more

Well I would have given this place a 5. The service was really slow but it was obviously they were understaffed. Walked into bar area to grab a beer while we waited for a seat. The bartender would not serve us for who knows why. There is really no separation for the eating area and the small bar. We grabbed a round top in bar area but could not get service from the two waitresses running their butts off while we waited for our table. So again went to bar and couldn't get a beer for whatever the guys reasoning was!!! This was my biggest complaint! The food when it came out was great even having to wait for a while! The server was apologetic but handled it very professionally. So food was great, don't really know why the bartender did what he did but oh well. Would come back knowing all of this. read more

On October 5, myself and 2 friends (all Asian American) and my dog attempted to go to dinner here. There were clearly open tables on the patio, which assumed that's where the dog-friendly area was. People were getting up as well but when my friend went to walk in, the host took one look at us and started shaking his head. This is a bit concerning to me because the host didn't allow for my friend to speak and immediately just shook his head, leading us to think that it could have been race influenced since we were the only people of color there. While we're hoping that was the caes, the management then needs to work on their training for welcoming guests with something other than a headshake. This was really embarrassing for us as there were other groups waiting to be seated and were welcomed differently. read more

I loved the gnocchi with mushroom appetizer the best. It could have been my main meal because I was full after eating a portion of that. WOW! This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. If you're a fan of central European food (German, Polish, Czech) then this is the place for you. Everything from the liter beers, to the Perogies, Reuben, everything was absolutely amazing. What stole the show was the Jäger Schnitzel, that was the best piece of pork cutlet I've had in a long time. Might have been better than the one I had in Germany!
