The way they decorated the place is fun and exciting to be in. The food seems to be authentic, didn't recognize most things on the menu so definitely was trying out something with chicken. We visited Boulder on a Thursday evening and were attracted by the string lights and outdoor seating. The decor is charming without being cheesy. Our wait was short and they easily accommodated our short timeline (had to be somewhere at 8). I ordered the sausage plate and my husband had the fish and chips and a beer that I forgot the name of. The portion sizes were big enough that neither of us left hungry. There were two very flavorful mustards that came with one of our meals that I enjoyed. The servers were extremely helpful and attentive and made a great suggestion for the sausage plate. We enjoyed our experience and will certainly be back to try more beers and the pretzels. COVID-19 comments: The available seating was adequately spread apart for social distancing. Masks were required by patrons and servers when not sitting at our table. This is a decent version of German food. The potato pancakes with pork was great. The sauce was a great addition and great flavor The chicken was breaded rather than fried. The breadcrumb crust was overdone as well as the chicken. The capers made it extremely salty. My chicken was cut open in the kitchen to check if it was cooked thru. This review is for drinks/atmosphere only, as I did not eat here the night I came. A friend and I were in Boulder for a night and saw this place as we were walking on the Pearl Street Mall. Although we opted to eat elsewhere, we decided we'd stop by this place for drinks after dinner because the atmosphere looked amazing! The outdoor setup was super cute, with lots of lights, heaters, wooden tables, music, etc. We were seated inside because the outdoor tables all had a wait, but the atmosphere inside was just as good! We had two rounds of the mulled wine, which was absolutely delicious! The servers were all super friendly, and we were seated far enough away from the other guests that we did not feel unsafe due to covid. At $9, the mulled wine was not cheap, but it really hit the spot. The one disappointment was that this place totally shut down by 10:30 on a Friday night. Authentic good-quality German and Czech food. We are connoisseurs of German food, having spent many winters in Germany and Austria, and all 4 of us agreed the food was very good. None of us likes pierogis but these were good, and the mushroom red pepper topping was a nice addition. They were not impressed by the house pilz but I really liked it. The honey hefeweizen cider was refreshing light and not heavy of wheat. The drinks were delivered with lightning speed, within a minute of ordering. We enjoyed the sampler platter but for $60 we expected more food. My pork schnitzel was crispy and hot and smothered with capers, which I really like. However, there was a tendency to overdo the spice, including the parsley (? and salt on the potato salad and the herbs in the beet salad. Nevertheless, when polled our entire party of 5 concurred that the food and the service were very good, so we give it a 5. read more

For dessert, you have to try the Apple strudel - perfect to share. Prices are very reasonable for being right off of Pearl Street in Boulder. Very friendly service and good vibes. Let me preface with saying that I was a server and bartender for nearly 15 years and am extremely understanding and lenient. This place takes the trucking cake. We waited for over two hours - from 58 minutes for a table to an hour and 13 minutes from being sat. Meanwhile the people who were sat at our share table 25 minutes ago have had two appetizers and two drinks given to them while we have had to ask to place a food order. The waiter was friendly to our faces but we caught some side eye rolls, sighs, and menu slamming. We left with only trying to pay for our drinks. The only difference that I can draw was that this restaurant and all those that came after us that received prompt, timely service were white while my two friends were brown. It's hard for them to not feel singled out for this reason when they see everyone else being served. Honestly, if you are a white Suburanite than this place will be fine for you. This was our first time in Boulder and will most definitely be our last. The only saving grace was the manager. She was extremely sweet and tried to make it up to us by offering new seating and rush food, but my party had left and no longer felt comfortable there. read more

This spot has very romantic, old-world Central European vibes, and is impeccably decorated to resemble a beer hall in Krakow or Prague. We stopped in for a drink on a Saturday afternoon, and were seated at a small table. After admiring the surroundings, I ordered a German lager served in an absolutely enormous Stein, which was refreshing and delicious. She had a smaller beer, followed by a glass of Austrian Gruner. Although we didn't eat, the food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible, particularly the fish and chips and the schnitzel. I've had this dish at a lot of other restaurants in the past. This is one of the best ever! I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to try it or looking for good Schnitzel in the Denver/Boulder area. I also love the look and feel of the interior of this establishment. Absolutely amazing experience at bohemian! The food was amazing. We started with the pretzel with bier cheese and the smoked trout dip -- both excellent! But the absolute home run was the crispy gnocchi with mushrooms. I could eat this decadent meal every single day if I could. I was blown away. I came here with two others after a hike, and we all got the jager schnitzel with pork and spatzle. The pork was crispy and light, and the creamy mushroom sauce was delicious. The spatzle was perfectly chewy, although it was lacking a bit of flavor. The red cabbage was soft and flavorful, and I surprisingly enjoyed it. I also tried half of a fried potato and cheese pierogi, and it's definitely not traditional. Traditional pierogi is not deep-fried, does not have a spicy sauce, and is not topped with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. The jager schnitzel portions were a bit lacking for the high price of $18.50 post-tax. Service was okay, and as I came during covid times, the servers were wearing masks as they should be. read more
