Enjoyed a very good dinner with the family. Had the steak house burger cooked medium with lots of flavor. Everyone else enjoyed there meals, and the service was great! Will definitely be back to try other menu options.

the saltwater grille was fantastic! we came for happy hour (incredible deals, good pours) and dinner (fantastic food) and the highlight of it all was the service. the bartender and the waitress, Jill, were attentive and gave great recommendations. one of our friends is gluten free and they were incredibly accommodating and Jill was funny and friendly as can be. highly recommend for drinks/dinner if you're in the area!

This was my pick for my fancy birthday dinner with my husband this year. My husband got a beer and I had the Dirty Harry Martini because I was craving something spicy. I was disappointed. It had a cayenne pepper rim which was not listed on the menu. I like spice but after I took my first drink cayenne pepper got washed into the martini and made it gritty and unpleasant. I would have requested that to be left off if it had been listed on the drink menu. We then shared the Raw Bar sampler. The oysters, shrimp, tuna and salmon were fresh and tasty. It also came with clams which were raw. I have never had raw clams and honestly didn't know this was a thing. My husband and I both had 1 and thought they were gross. Our waitress did tell us next time we could ask to substitute for extra oysters instead so we'll certainly do that. I hade the steak au poivre with potatoes and veggies, cooked medium rare. I ate the entire thing! It was cooked and seasoned well. My husband had the fish and chips and was very pleased. The ambiance was lovely, a fire was lit and the lighting was dim. Just what I was looking for!

Baked cod and house potato and steamed veggies. Potato could have used some sort of gravy. Overall, very bland.

We bought a Groupon since we love seafood and we were looking for a new place to try. The Groupon deal seemed a great value - an appetizer to share, soup or salad, and an entree. Food - The food was alright and nothing special. We love raw oysters and the menu mentioned you had the choice of two sauces. However, the waitress left before we could ask for our choice and got the standard cocktail sauce. We then got the clam chowder and house salad which were very good. The house onion dressing is flavorful without being too strong. I got the baked cod with the house potato and veggies and it was very bland. Drinks- easily the best part of our meal. I had a Moscow mule while my boyfriend had a bourbon drink with orange and maple syrup. The bartender clearly knows how to make a tasty drink. Avoid sitting near the raw bar at all costs. You'll constantly hear the waitstaff say "corner" when they're going into the kitchen area to avoid running into other staff. It's distracting and somewhat unprofessional (some staff were yelling quite loudly) given the nice setting of the restaurant. We may come back but only to get apps and drinks.

That caught my attention. I'm a great lover of historic buildings. This one has enjoyed several different lives, but the newest iteration opened in 2024. The owners have paid close attention to many details that show they value the history of the building - from the furniture in the multiple small dining rooms to the reproduction wallpaper on the walls. I loved the use of large candles in the fireplaces to replicate the light of a fire. Our meals were from the Prix Fixe Menu for $50 per person. I was delighted to see later that Lost Fox Inn advertises a Prix Fixe Menu on Thursdays for $60 per person. I enjoyed the Corn Chowder soup appetizer, which was different from any chowder I've ever eaten but very flavorful. My main course was Orecchiette, a delightful maitake and shiitake mushroom pasta dish that is flavored with lemon, pecorino Romano, rosemary, oregano and topped with breadcrumbs. Dessert was a chocolate mousse topped with pickled blackberry and mint. Really delicious. We booked an early dinner and were delighted to find that we were the only ones seated in our small dining room. As the hour progressed, more and more people filled the room, and interestingly each group took advantage of the restaurant week menu (many of the items are on the regular dinner menu). The wait staff was very attentive, checking in and answering questions about the menu items. I look forward to a return visit because the food was really outstanding.

I came across Flowers of Distinction and knew immediately that this was the place. I loved the natural, whimsical vibe. Not being from the area, I couldn't tell how close they really were to the delivery location so I called and spoke to a lovely woman named Robin. I told her I was looking for something spectacular and I was particularly drawn to her work. I selected a stunning arrangement called Blushing Angelique, which was $300, but requested no lilies because the recipient had a cat (and wanted to keep it that way.) But when I gave her the address, we realized it was way outside their jurisdiction. I was crushed because the arrangement was everything I'd hoped for. She asked how I'd found them and who they were for so I told her how a friend had been struggling with health issues after a spinal chord injury and then long Covid, so a bunch of friends wanted her to know she was loved. She said she was actually also a spiritual healer and felt drawn to do this arrangement and make a special exception. I could not believe it! I told her I'd make it worth her while and thanked her profusely. She sent a photo of the final product and it was stunning! She also told me that she had poured all her best wishes and healing energy into the arrangement for my friend. I was incredibly touched. She let me know when she was on the way to delivered it and again when it had been delivered. I told her to please charge an extra $50 for all her extra trouble and the extra distance she had to travel. I have not had the pleasure of interacting with a kinder, more helpful person in customer service since I can recall. I wish we had a Flowers of Distinction near me. I'm including a link to a TikTok that was posted by my friend's fiancé because the photo does not quite do the arrangement justice and the video highlights it better. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8FEnD7t/

Instead of showing even basic courtesy or care, the hotel staff (Chris) couldn't find our reservation, implied we may have booked a different hotel (even after we showed proof), and told us to deal with Expedia. Expedia then tried to charge nearly $1,800 in extra fees and penalties. When we asked Chris for help or an exception, he was rude, unhelpful, and said there was "no one else" we could speak to. Zero empathy, zero accountability, zero hospitality. For a small, supposedly boutique hotel, this was shockingly cold and unprofessional. We'll be disputing the charge and staying at The Litchfield Inn instead (where we should've booked in the first place). Would NOT recommend The Abner Hotel to anyone who expects even basic respect or customer care.

LOCATION: The bar is accessible through the hotel's entrance behind West Street. ATMOSPHERE: The big draw is the rooftop location. There are numerous seating options to enjoy the sunset, surrounding landscape, and night sky during warm weather. The bar's design is elegant. BEVERAGES: No food is currently served at Verdict, but I did see some servers pass around some potato chips. The menu includes slight twists on popular cocktails, as well as dry cocktails. I tried the watermelon margarita ($16). Something about it did not seem as balanced as I had experienced elsewhere, but it was very attractive.
